Classic Nails and Spa

Well, I won’t be going back, that’s for certain. The experience itself wasn’t all bad. Tools, other than the emory board and buffer, are cleaned under uv treatment, the ladies were all polite and efficient, and the space is pleasant, as well as being convenient when you’re shopping, but the result was not good. I got a shellac mani and pedi [only shellac on the hands] and the nails already looked like they’d been growing out for at least a week when I walked out of the shop– the shellac was nowhere near my cuticles on the back or the sides, and it was flimsier than expected as well. A week later and almost all of it has peeled off, hardly worth the upcharge for the service.
The pedicure was a little rough– my callouses are tended to, but the exfoliant scrub used on my legs was harsh enough to be kinda painful, making the hot towel after sting like all get-​out. It also pays to note that many of the certificates displayed on the wall by the register are expired– perhaps I should have paid more attention on the way in?

Very nice, my nail tech did a great job. Big plus is no television blaring, just lovely relaxing New Age music. I’ll be back.

I read the previously posted reviews, so I decided to stop in for a nail repair and polish change on my lunch break. I wear acrylic over my natural nail because i usually wear gel polish. but i just wanted a quick change for the holiday, and i’d go to my regular tech after.
I walked in and was instantly greeted and placed in a chair. but while i was selecting my polish, the tech stood over my shoulder the entire time…
next, i asked just to have the nail repaired, so the entire nail didn’t rip off. the tech proceeds to still remove the nail. this caused ripping of my natural nail, and frankly it hurt. she got an attitude with me and idk i just lost all interest in the experience. my view was of the cleaning supply closet. the tech used scissors to cut my nail! and even with things going south, she still took a phone call in the middle of doing my nails smh.
overall polish was nice and the nail dryers are pretty strong and fast. but i personally would never return here.

I have visited Classic Nails and Spa about 4 or 5 times. There is a steady stream of customers (gets busy on Fri and Sat). MOST of the technicians are friendly and prices are reasonable. Relaxing atmosphere with soothing music.
The technicians «suggest» extra services (eyebrows, deluxe pedicure, French manicure (it costs more)
I’ve been to at least 3 Short Pump nail salons, and I have found Classic Nails and Spa to be the best.

I have been to this place a couple times. They are very friendly and it always feels great to get a pedi.
They do try to up sale a lot, but so does every other place.
I will continue to coming back to this place.

It’s clean, nicely lit and spacious inside. Everyone is super friendly and it’s pretty standard quality. There’s little catering to pairs if you go with a friend. Usually you’re able to sit side by side for a pedicure, but not for manicures. Additionally, there’s always a push for the upsell. I understand they’re a business, and absolutely offer a better package or extra service once– but it’s sometimes been persistent and that’s frustrating. They will, however, never ever tell a customer ‘no’ and go very much above and beyond to make whatever you want happen, even if they’re after hours. The customer service and friendly staff will keep me coming back.

I Absolutely Love this Salon! I have been getting Pedicures and Manicures and now I am doing the Pink and White and this Nail Salon is the Best in Richmond. Reasonable prices and Friendly staff. The owner is Lee and he is personable and seems to care about his customers and making sure everything is perfect. The first time I ever went there he did a repair for free. I had just left my regular nail salon that had turned me away because they had decided to close early. I hate that. It had happened to me several times and I was so mad. I stopped in to Classic Nails and Lee was kind enough to do the repair even though he was about to close. He assured me that his salon is open until the clock strikes the time and even if you walk through the door one minute before closing they are happy to stay. My tech is Vanessa and she is the wonderful! I will say I have also experienced a few of the others and they are great too but I now have my favorite. If you are searching for a professional nail salon that is FABULOUS you must come here and tell Lee Hi!
