I recently started my tattoo removal process in January. The first session went by quickly and I got a lot of information that day. When I called originally, they had a buy 2 get 1 free promotion, so I went with the intention of getting that. After my first session I was under the impression I was still getting that offer. I went yesterday for my second session, and was told since I didn’t purchase a package that I wasn’t eligible for the deal. Minor confusion :(The service however was fantastic and everything was done quickly with minimal pain.

I have been going through the laser tattoo removal process for four years now(2 half sleeves). This is the fourth laser tattoo removal clinic I have been treated at so I’ve experienced a variety of lasers & technicians over the past four years. One of the things I’ve learned is that no one can guarantee you anything when it comes to laser tattoo removal. The inks tattoo artists use are not the same nor are they monitored by the FDA. I’ve personally watched the same laser work one one blue ink by one tattoo artist and not be as effective as the blue ink done by another tattoo artist. After four years of pain, I can say without a doubt that Invisible Ink’s lasers are less painful than the others I’ve experienced. I have also had significantly less damage to my skin than from other laser tattoo removal clinics. I got horrible blisters, scabbing, hyper & hypo pigmentation from the repeated techniques used at other places. I used to have a fever all weekend after being treated at River City Tattoo, Zapatat, & Atlantic Laser Tattoo. At Invisible Ink my healing & recovery time has been cut more than in half. They guaranteed to have my tattoo removed in 6 treatments & if not they will continue to treat it for free. Yes, it is more expensive than the other places I went before. But if I had started here in the first place, I might have saved a lot of money.

edit — 4÷24÷15: Got a call from them about this review and was told that they were under new management and asked me what they could do to change my mind. I told them I simply wanted what was promised originally and they had no problem with that and scheduled me an appointment for today. When I got there they asked me about my previous experience and let me know that the original manager had overpromised numerous people and that they’d received a complaints over it and that she was no longer with them. They offered as many treatments as I needed to finish removing the tattoo at not cost and immediately offered to put it in writing. They didn’t pressure me at all about my initial review either. Overall I had a much better experience this time around and can honestly say they’re making it right. They also got a new laser system since last time I was there and it hurt even less than the old one did and even that wasn’t bad at all. I’m also shocked by how well it worked. It’s only been a few hours and most the tattoo is almost gone other than a section of red, though they’ve said all along it’s a difficult color to remove. Go see Chelsea and Kristi. They’re doing an awesome job running this place and I won’t hesitate to go back to them after this time. They’re both super friendly and genuinely changed my mind about Invisible Ink big time. I know I’m not the only one who had a bad experience under the old management(I had a few friends that went as well) and I’ll honestly say talk to them and give them another shot after this. _________________________________________ original review : First off I will say that their laser does work and works very well. It’s quick and not very painful(less than getting a tattoo is) and the people that work there are friendly. However they will flat out lie to you about how long many sessions removal will take. I was told numerous times that mine would be a very easy removal and that it would take 2 sessions at most. This was for a tattoo about the size of the palm of my hand. When they opened they offered several people 2 free sessions(in exchange for the right to use your pictures for advertising) with whatever it will take to get rid of the tattoo after that at half price. They refused to discuss a price until after I’d gone the second free time. By that point it was blatantly obvious that they were using me for training and they’d intentionally only used the laser on parts of the tattoo and not others. At the end of the second session I was left with a butchered, half removed tattoo and they wanted over $ 2000 for 5 more sessions after telling me repeatedly that it would only take two at the most to completely remove it in the first place. I know a few other people who had the same deal, were promised similar results only to be told after the free sessions that it would cost them thousands to have the rest of their tattoo removed. Luckily I planned on having mine covered up rather than a total removal anyway, but it’s still absurd that they’re flat out lying to people about what to expect.
