I love wine, the food is decent, and it’s a convenient happy hour location(fairly close to my office). On Tuesdays they offer half-price bottles of wine(between $ 50 and $ 100), and I’ve always been a fan of this special. Twice in the past, I was able to use a purchased Groupon gift certificate on half-price bottle night. On my recent visit, I was told that I could not combine my gift certificate with the bottle special. I had the certificate sitting on our table the entire time, I assumed I’d be able to redeem it since I was able to before — it would’ve been nice if I’d been notified ahead of time when placing my bottle order that I would not be able to redeem the certificate. The manager was quite rude and combative when we asked questions about the check, and he could’ve handled the situation better. My experience on this visit is enough to make me never want to go back, even though I’ve been a satisfied customer in the past. Very disappointing.

We recently rented the upstairs room for a private bridal shower for my sister. I hadn’t been to the venue before, but had a great experience! The service was amazing, the food was phenomenal, and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Christian helped us throughout the entire time, and was GREAT! She was so friendly, and helped us set up, and poured wine and served food throughout the shower, which we weren’t expecting. We ordered multiple appetizers, and every single one was so tasty– especially the flatbreads and crab dip! There was a band setting up as we were leaving(around 7ish? I believe…), and it looked like a fun evening atmosphere. I would definitely use this space for another event, and look forward to being able to go there and have some drinks and listen to music in the future! If I had any complaints, it would be that the lighting in the room we rented was VERY dim; although it made for a nice, intimate environment, all of the pictures we took were very dark and blurry. Also, the area we rented was the actual«loft» of the Wine Loft, and while it was upstairs and very separate from the rest of the restaurant, you could still see/hear the rest of the restaurant as there was no door. For our purposes, it didn’t bother us at all, but if you’re looking for complete privacy, it may be problematic.

We had a nice time here sitting outside, and the food was decent, but unfortunately it was kind of ruined by them telling us when they brough the check that they can’t split up items. This place is in the middle of Short Pump, not in the city with an old register, there is no reason they can’t split up items between people. Ridiculous. I would not go here again simply for that reason.

The Wine Loft has an amazing atmosphere– inside has bar top tables and couches for relaxing with a glass of wine. The outside patio is even better on a nice summer afternoon. They have a nice, simple wine list, not an overwhelming amount of choices. My wife and I ordered two house wines during their happy hour($ 6 a glass), not the best happy hour deal, but the wine was excellent. We also ordered a cheese board, gluten free option. They subbed fresh vegetables(cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots) for the crackers, but failed to mention a $ 2 upcharge on top of an already pricey board($ 17). Bottom line– this is a great place to start the evening for a glass of wine and enjoy a comfortable atmosphere with friends.

I came here to celebrate my birthday with girlfriends. We arrived around 930PM and there was a love jazz band playing. It’s a small and cozy spot with an upstairs seating area. We went upstairs and the server cleaned the tables off for us to sit. We were also told there was only 2 servers on shift so there would be a slight delay. We ordered flights which are three glasses of wine 2oz per glass which have quirky names like, «I should take a taxi home» and so forth. It was a nice place but our experience seemed rushed. We were told last call for alcohol was 11PM which seemed odd since most establishments make that call 20 – 30 mins before closing(they close at midnite). Since we had a late lunch we did not have any tapas. Overall it was a good experience.

Great place to sample wines and sample new ones. I came here with some ladies as a get together spot. I was pleasantly surprised with the various wine samplers that you can taste 4 wines. They also had live music the night we went. The food was not much to write home about but is is a wine loft. Come to drink wine and eat before you come.

Dinner for two with a bottle of wine for $ 150 after tip. Mostly communal seating. We sat outside at a rickety table for two. Slow service(one waitress when we were there). Their online menu was outdated and so was the printed menu. Disappointing. Overall, it felt like a $ 75 — $ 80 experience, so I wouldn’t be back unless I had a 50% off groupon. Live music(duet) at 8pm was a nice touch. At best, this is a nice place for a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere to enjoy some live music with a glass of overpriced wine(4x markup in general). It’s between 2 and 3 stars.

Such high hopes. Atmosphere is so promising. And then the FAIL. 1stWBTG was not in stock. The food was DROWNING in balsamic. First order came out wrong. And wait — the service was painfully slow. Had to ask for water. Repeatedly. Will NOT be making a return visit. Ppl next to us: «wow, I’m so unimpressed»(direct quote). I’m thinking most of the ppl in he room are thinking the same

Such a casually chic spot to enjoy a fabulous glass of wine and delicious food with friends. I came here with a meet up group and enjoyed the mood lighting of the communal table where we were taken care of very well throughout the happy hour. I loved the variety of $ 6 glasses of wine until 7pm! The cabernet was better than I expected. About 8:00pm we were entertained by some live jazz in the background that made the evening feel even more elegant. I couldn’t resist taking home the lamb lollipops to enjoy at home with my boyfriend. They were delicious, served over a ratatouille and drizzled with balsamic. For $ 15, I thought that was a great price for the quality I received. Looking forward to my next visit!

Visited on a Saturday night and the service was super slow. One would expect an establishment such as this to be staffed up on the weekends, but it seemed they were seriously short-handed on wait staff. Great atmosphere and live music, but my wine glass was empty the majority of the time.

I’ve been to The Wine Loft many times. My favorite spot in the restaurant is the patio in the summer and spring time. I was disappointed on this visit because they had gotten rid of a few things on the menu that I loved.. We ordered two flat breads that were really good. We got the crab and asparagus and the goat cheese and rosemary. We sat upstairs in the loft area and unfortunately this made our waitress not super on top of it. By the end of the night we had to flag her down for our check(which I hate doing). This is a great restaurant to go with girlfriends to hang out and talk in a comfortable atmosphere. It’s very loungy and relaxing. They have a great wine selection but I miss the skinny girl cocktails and crab stack that I usually order.

Keep in mind you’re paying for the atmosphere… the food was ok(I have had the flatbread and some of the cheese). The wine was good but you pay dearly for it. Expect a lot of the wine to be $ 10 more than other bars serve it. It’s beautiful but the«just ok» food, wine and service do not justify the price for me.

We got seated and proceeded to sit there for fifteen minutes in a half empty bar without even getting greeted. We left and went somewhere else

Our first time. We sat on the patio. It was early but as we sat there it got busier. A one man band was setting up to start at 8. Service was attentive. I want to sit inside next time. Very cool — love the sitting set up with couches and curtains — almost a nice Vegas club vibe. Wine was good, we shared the prime rib blue cheese flatbread. Tasty. Glad we tried it!

This is a great place to enjoy a quiet glass of wine with your significant other or a small group of close friends. The ambiance can be a bit«stuffy» and the drinks are definitely more expensive if you’re used to more of the«bar» atmosphere. I’ve had several items from the menu – mostly small plates and shareable appetizers – and the fare is best paired with specific types/styles of wine.

Oh man, why did I not try this place sooner? Came here last night with a girl friend of mine for a drink. We ended ordering some food too since we were both starving. Conversation does not flow well when your stomach is louder than you are. We sat the bar and were helped right away by the bartender, sadly I can’t remember his name though. He was very helpful in the wine selection and picked out an amazing Sauvignon Blanc for me. WOW, Cloudy Bay, you are just awesome and I need a bottle of you stat! I paired that with their fig and prosciutto flatbread. My friend had a glass of red and the caprese flatbread. Both our flatbreads were great. Flavorful and well presented. Filling enough for someone to have as a meal or to be shared if you want to sample more items. I was tempted by the cheese board but since I had fondue the night before I couldn’t go the fromage route again too heavy. As others have said they décor here in heavy on the brown but it’s a very intimate spot and would be great for a date night. My boyfriend doesn’t drink wine, but The Wine Loft also has a beer selection so he won’t be able to complain when I want to go here. :)(I know I’m such a loving and accommodating girlfriend. but sometimes a lady just has to have her way.) There was some live music as well, but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. The weather for the patio is now peaking and I can see myself sitting out there with a book and a glass of wine on a weekend.

This is literally the best bar I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is perfect, the service was excellent, and the wine selection was outstanding. The music(live jazz) was loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough so you could still have a conversation with the person next to you. If you like wine and jazz this is your place

I would NEVER have told anyone that I would EVER be found in a wine bar. But, here I am. I came here to meet a lot of friends from work. It was the collective choice, not mine. But when I arrived, I was undeniably impressed. I was the first one to arrive and the waitress was very helpful. She was nice and not as snooty as I had initially expected. The ambiance was really hip and made me want to come on a romantic fling. Instead I awaited my work friends. When they arrived, I found myself having an incredibly good time. The waitress knew exactly what to recommend based on everyone’s preferences and wasn’t a wine snob at all. She was informed, knowledgeable and helpful. Not at all what I expected to receive. The drinks were fantastic. I had a couple cocktails and tried a couple of glasses of wine. I was impressed with all of them that were served. I should have tried some of the snacks, but I wasn’t there long enough. Definitely a place to check out.

I went to the Wine loft on Saturday night to enjoy a glass of wine and appetizers. There was a guy playing live music. The music was nice and relaxing. The Wine Loft has a variety of wines for customers to enjoy. You can buy the bottle or a glass of wine. I had a glass of the Bottega Vinaia Pinot Grigio. The Pinot Grigio was fresh and flavorful. I had the Coopers Vineyard Noche(chocolate) dessert wine as well. Yes; I got to have my dessert in wine form. The Noche is one of my favorite wines. It’s sweet and full of flavor. The Wine Loft has some some good food options. I decided to try the barbeque chicken flatbread appetizer(Roasted Chicken, Cheddar Cheese, Caramelized Onions, & Barbeque Sauce). The BBQ chicken flatbread was tasty. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu. The tiramisu was average at best. I expected more from the tiramisu especially for the price. The Wine Loft has a bar, standing room, tables, and comfortable seating(couches). There’s patio seating with heaters as well. The service was average. The upstairs lounge area in the Wine Loft usually fills up fast. I like the view from the top of the Wine Loft. I sat on the couch and watched college basketball because there was a wait to sit upstairs. The dim lights give the Wine Loft a romantic feel. The atmosphere was grown and sexy. The décor is nice and modern. There’s parking in a deck next to the Wine Lofts(free). If you want to enjoy a glass of wine with a nice ambience, The Wine Loft is a great choice. I give the Wine Loft a 3.5 rating rounded up to a 4 because of the nice ambience.
