While my kids didn’t realize how horrific this place was run, we sure did. The check in time to get a lane and shoes on a Tuesday night was ridiculous. After we finally got our turn I presented the Groupon and suddenly the pizza that came with the Groupon was not available, even though people just walked past us carrying pizza. We came over dinner time with the kids for dinner and bowling! She then offered us hot dogs and fries when I questioned the no pizza. The staff just seemed overall clueless and like they could care less about anything. We checked on the food about 30 minutes later and the very overwhelmed person working started screaming that she «wasn’t taking any more orders.» Okaaayyy” We got our hot dogs about 45 minutes later. Also the music was very loud and kind of questionable with little kids around and the balls were chipped. There are plenty of other bowling places to go to, so that would be my recommendation!

This place is okay. A little run down, but I went in not expecting much. Tons of alcohol posters plastered on the entry door, had to really look for the handle. Went on a Monday with my four year old kid during their $ 1 a game specials, played one game. $ 10.50. Asked the honestly rude front desk woman, «How much is shoe rental?» Her responded, «Few more bucks than a game, that’s how they get ya!»
Our friends ordered chicken nuggets. They were dinosaur shaped, so that’s cool if you want to spend $ 8.
Duck pin bowling is actually fun. And small enough for small kids to throw down the lane. They also have a ball slide to assist. Bumpers as well.

Poor customer service & poor staff, horrible with event planning (especially children’s birthday parties)!

I choose one star only because I had to, otherwise I’d opt to give none. Came in for the 1^st time to bowl a few games with friends. Happy up until the 2^nd game, in the 10^th frame with 2 players left and the music went off, lights on, and game froze. Apparently at 10pm they shut down and make you repay at 10:30 to finish. We arrived around 9pm and paid full price and no one mentioned in an hour we’d have to pay all over again just to finish. Don’t waste your time or money.

Good place to play duckpin bowling, but the staff (especially the young girl at the front desk) are completely incompetent and rude. Also, please don’t play rock, pop, and rap music so loud on your crappy speakers that you literally can’t hear your partner you are bowling with, who is sitting right next to you.
If the staff was worth two cents, this place would be better.

I had never been to a duck pin bowling alley. I have heard that the staff at this alley is sometimes unfriendly. The day I went this was not the case. There was a Monday night special for ten bucks. I got shoes in that as well and we bowled till they closed. The staff was engaging and one person came from behind the counter and taught me how I could better hit the pins. That tutorial made the night so much more fun. I had a great experience there.

Horrible, horrible place. The lady who works there in sundays is very mean and rude. Yelled at me in front of my kid. The one lady they have in the food service area is mean and angry and good luck getting your food before your season is over. If you complain about it, you get snapped at that she’s the only one there. If you try to use a groupon here, good luck because you get treated like garbage. They make groupon users wait a long time and serve non groupon users first. The pizza tastes like card board. They have a dingy, dirty, hazmat looking room in the back that wasn’t sectioned off or protected the last time I was there so any kid can run in there and get hurt.

My three year old had a blast. We bought the groupon and had no issues using it. It’s a bit run down and dated but it only added to the vibe for me. The pizza smelled amazing and my guy ate 3 pieces. I would happily come back.

I really like duckpin bowling, even if I’m not that good at it, and Glen Burnie bowl is a good place for it. The place could use a bit of renovation but there are plenty of lanes and your normal complimentary bowling stuff like food and an arcade. There are good specials and reduced rate days/​times if you check the website before planning a trip to this place.

As far as bowling allies go, I thought this place was great. I was there for a fundraising event for «South Baltimore Network» and the joint was packed with every lane in use. This is DUCKPIN BOWLING, an important note to make.
Things I Like:
— Very clean. The carpeting seems newish, the restrooms were clean, the dining area was clean, the seating behind each lane was great.
— Parking and location was great, it’s right off of the highway. So easy to get to (in Glen Burnie).
— Each lane has electronic scoring with an overhead screen/​scoreboard. Love it.
— Plenty of balls (place joke here). I’ve been to bowling allies that were 100% packed and the result was a shortage in balls, This was not a problem.
— Plenty of alcohol. They had the basic beers on tap, but they also had a variety of «Limerita» type products too.
Things I Didn’t Like:
— The food was rough. It was either sauce less and soulless pizza, or deep-​fried this and that. It sucked.
— It doesn’t have an overwhelming amount of space to it when it’s packed to the gills.
Ultimately, this is a fun place to come bowl with friends or family. To improve their score I would have to visit the alley, maybe during a Friday or Saturday night. Until then, it’s a lot better than some of the local competition.

I agree with most of the other 1-​star reviews here. We drove a half-​hour to use our Groupon only to find a list of hours posted on the door as to when we could use the coupon. It says NOTHING about hours/​dates or calling ahead on the groupon itself or on their website. We had a half-​hour remaining to bowl until we were told we would have to give back the lane by the rude girl at the front desk. After trying to figure out how to proceed and deciding to just do as much as we could in a half-​hour, we said OK, let’s just do it anyway but your policy blows. She was unapologetic and then proceeded to answer a phone call and talk for several minutes while we just stood there, knowing that we had limited time. So, we decided to leave and got Groupon to refund our deal. It was indeed a trashy environment and I was very disappointed that the policies and staff deprived our family of what should’ve been a fun outing.

I don’t know what rating to give this place. It’s great for small children IF you can deal with the Groupon drama and with the extremely rude woman who sits at the front desk. The Groupon stated that you have to reserve a lane to use the Groupon. When I called to reserve a lane for 10:30 am I was rudely informed that they don’t open until 11:00 am. OK, that’s fine, then you need to update your website that’s linked to Groupon that says you open at 10:00 on Sundays. Then I was told that I couldn’t reserve a lane because it would be too busy that day and that I could only bowl during 11 – 1 on this particular day. For the record less than half of the lanes were in use when we were there. By the way none of this information is on Groupon or the bowling alley website, so I guess the woman at the front desk just spits it all out as she feels like it. What a way to run a business.
I was so put off by the rudest conversation on the phone with the woman that clearly didn’t want my business before we even got there that we almost didn’t go EXCEPT for the fact that this place had been highly recommended to us by a few other people with little kids!
They have bumpers on the lanes and a metal ramp for really little kids to push the ball down so that they can really participate in bowling so that is nice. Our children are 3 and 1 and they got to bowl. The pizza came out fast and hot… The man that worked at the shoe counter was friendly, as were other patrons there with their children. Our lane kept getting stuck and wouldn’t reset without being reset by someone who worked there.
We’d go back because the kids had fun but… The woman at the front desk is truly an awful person to have to deal with. If you don’t want people using Groupon, well then here’s an idea, don’t put out a Groupon.

I called twice during the day on a Friday to make sure they weren’t overbooked with parties and that I could use my Groupon. I talked to Megan. We arrived with our kids (ages 3 and 8) at 7pm. I waited for 20 minutes just to «check in» and was told, «It will be at least an hour or hour and a half before we have a lane.». Ok, fair enough. I then asked if we could go ahead and get the pizza while we waited and her response was, «Sorry, I can’t give you the pizza until you redeem your Groupon. And I can’t redeem your Groupon until a lane becomes available.».
I then asked to speak to a manager and she told me, «I am the manager». I then explained that I have two hungry kids (one being a toddler) and waiting until 8:30 or 9pm to eat is out of the question. She wouldn’t budge and explained, «We’ve had problems with people who get the pizza and then try to get another pizza later when they redeem the groupon.». So because of dishonest people, they can’t let you get the pizza first? Ridiculous. A third grader could easily figure out a way around this.
I walked away and weighed my options. We were already there. It would take us at least 30 minutes to find another place to eat — and then I’d be looking at driving all the way to Glen Burnie at a later date to use the groupon. I decided to redeem the groupon JUST for the pizza. I waited in line again and told her, «Forget the bowling. Can I just redeem it for the pizza?». She tapped «Redeem» and walked a ticket over to the kitchen. There was no offer of bowling vouchers for a later time. No willingness at ALL to accommodate us in any way.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to EAT while you wait for a lane! Seriously, why couldn’t she just give me a bowling voucher, hit redeem, and let us get the pizza? To boot, the food was downright bad (would have been cool with it if the kids could have had a blast bowling). And the selection of video games was NOT good. (If I could have let the kids play some good video games, it would have given them something fun for their night.). As it stood, we drove 30 minutes (each way) to eat crappy food and do nothing.

Went today with the Groupon and had a blast. The staff was friendly, and I knew ahead of time after reading ALL of the information on Groupon that we would have one game of bowling for four people. My daughter got the ball stuck twice behind the bumper and the woman behind the counter quickly fixed the problem without making my daughter feel bad about it (she felt a little silly about getting it stuck).
The place is old and needs some updating, so it’s a little dirty/​dingy. We didn’t mind though, and had a great day.

TERRIBLE!!! Employees were rude, balls were all chipped up, I went to use a groupon that stated 4 games for 4 people (HOLY BAIT AND SWITCH)!!! Their inability to communicate with each other caused us not to get our pizza which was included in the groupon. LAZY employees, RUDE employees, TERRIBLE lanes, DIRTY, GRUNGY environment. The employees would rather chit chat with themselves then help the people standing right at the desk waiting to get a lane.
If I could give them a 0 star rating I would. I will never ever ever return to this HOLE!
I love bowling and this place was absolutely the WORST!!! — Right across the street is an AFM bowling alley, go there instead!

Very nice place to go have fun. Our old duckpin place closed down and looks like it will be a Dollar General store now. They have a pretty good selection of beer and and hot food. The bathrooms are pretty clean and I can appreciate that as a plumber. They have a pretty large parking lot since they are located in a shopping center and easy to get to since they are very close to 695.

Just like most bowling alleys, except this one is duck pin only. We went on a Monday and it only cost a dollar per person per game! What a deal. My 2&3 year old absolutely loved duck pin bowling. The pizza we ordered was very good and shoe rental was only $ 2.50/pair. This made for a fun and cheap afternoon. The place was as clean as I expected it to be and the staff was courteous. We will definitely be back for the Monday dollar deal.

This is a great place for old school duck pin bowling. There is plenty of parking and it is usually never crowded. I love how the air conditioning is always on blast in the summer.
I purchase the family pass with the Kids Bowl free program and we can bowl all summer long for $ 25. Just pay for shoe rental.
The snack stand has something to satisfy everyone and the staff is wonderful!
The only thing is that the bathroom could use some renovation but at least it isn’t smelly like other newer places.
Definitely a nice place to bring your family for a rainy day.

Sunday morning bowling is cheaper.
