This place rules, I get the Carnitas EVERYTIME. They are the best. The menu is substantial and the choices are nearly endless. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious food and great prices! My husband and I came here for the first time on Cinco de Mayo. Even with a packed restaurant, our service and our food were both excellent. We have since returned and the service and food were just as great as before. We highly recommend any of the fajitas! Margaritas are great as well!

Excellent Mexican food at great prices. Love the CarnitaS. They seem to be connected with Los Portales, since they have the same menu items.

We went on Mother’s Day was the place was pretty busy. We didn’t have to wait because we arrived before the dinner rush. We were seated in a table all the way in the back. They cram a lot of tables and booths in the restaurant. I am 7 months pregnant(150 pounds) so I do have a belly but the booth space is ridiculous. We had to keep sliding the table back and forth if one of us wanted to use the bathroom or leave. We were greeted quickly and served free chips and salsa. The salsa was just ok. Blended tomatoes and diced onion with a little kick. We’ve had better. My husband and my mother-in-law said the margaritas were weak. Very disappointing when you go to a Mexican restaurant. The food was reasonably priced. My burrito was big for only being $ 10.95, I just wish it had some flavor. Very bland. Everyone at the table was disappointed with their meals. It wasn’t bad just not something I would come back for. It also took awhile to receive our meals. Maybe it was the Holiday. The waiter started off promising, but after he took the order we didn’t see him until our meal came. I had to wave him down for more water, boxes, and the check. You would think since they were so busy that they would want to get their customers in and out. We sat for 15 minutes trying to track down our server for the check. We finally asked another server. I doubt I will return.

Went for dinner on Tuesday. We had the worse service ever. Staff basically ignored us. Had to ask 2 different servers for chips when our guest arrived and joined us and still didn’t get them till our waitress(?)finally showed up to take our order… wanted to order more food and drinks. but waitress was no where in sight. that will probably be our last visit.

I have been to this place on and off for years, when it was a different name before and with this name. I’ve never had a problem. Delicious Mexican food. Parking is in the back. Nice décor.

The only authentic thing about this restaurant is the staff! out waitress was ok but she was very busy so we did not get much attention from her. The food had no flavor it lacked salt, spice, and everything that makes Mexican food nice :) their chips were stale and the salsa bland. They charge extra after your first soda refill. Our food took 45 min. for three burritos and an enchilada order. After 45 min. our food came out incorrectly! How do you mess up burritos you ask!!! well you fill them with the wrong meat!!! we ordered chicken and they were ground beef!!!

Food was hot and tasted great. Service was not good. As soon as we came in felt like we were being judged. We were the only African Americans dining. The waiter gave me a margarita on the rocks when I asked for a frozen margarita. Said happy hour price is $ 3.25 but charged $ 3.95. And he didn’t check on us after food came out. Hostess seemed to be unfriendly and had an attitude. Not going back here! Heard from a loyal friend that mi pueblo is much better.

Very large portions for the price, taste was average. The chips were good but the salsa tasted like blended tomatoes with diced onions. Friendly waiter but hostes seemed like they were in a rush. Will probably come back because of the lack decent Mexican food options around this area.

Coming from Texas we have had no luck finding decent mexican food after three years. I can finally say this place comes close. Except for the tortillas which are not homemade. Margaritas are good as well.

We just moved to the area from Laurel and we are trying to find good places to eat. This place will be the first on our list. The food is average and the service is excellent. For example they don’t make their own salsa. It will never replace our spot in Laurel. But it will do FYI the mixed drinks are weak… Maybe it will be better the next time we come back…

I have coming here for over 20 years. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Maryland. The chips and salsa are always hot and fresh. My favorite dish would be the Shrimp Chimicunga with rice and beans. Service is always good. Great place to take the family.

This is my go to place for Mexican food. I think this place will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first meal that I had when I moved to Maryland. Plaza Garibaldi is somewhat tucked away, located right next to Americana Southdale Apartments. So be careful or you may miss it because their entrance is a little weird. I’ve ordered takeout and dined in here and the food was always delicious and the service was always great. The only issue that I had is that one time I ordered a burrito that was supposed to be covered in a sauce. When I got home, realized there was no sauce. The burrito was still good but I was slightly annoyed with that small mishap. They seem to have pretty good happy hour specials and other food specials throughout the week that I haven’t tried yet. My favorite dishes here are the Enchiladas Mexicanas and Pollo Ranchero. I’ve heard great things about Mi Pueblo which is further down Ritchie Highway and further from home, but I’ll have to check it out and see which one I prefer. Right now, my Mexican restaurant of preference is Plaza Garibaldi.

Disappointed. Too $$$ for the quality. 2 Fajitas 2 soft drinks and 1 cheese dip. The steak fajitas were overcooked. My fajita texaxanas included steak, chicken and shrimp, and they left the tails on the shrimp. So overcooked it was horrible. Going to look for a better place for Mexican. Sigh. No free refills on soft drinks either.

I don’t get down to Glen Burnie often, and decided to stop here since I was shopping nearby and it had solid ratings on Unilocal.Have to repeat what a number of my fellow reviewers have stated: Service: Outstanding! Seated quickly, and the various staff that served me were attentive throughout. I was asked if I wanted my chips and salsa refilled not once, buy twice, by two different staffers. All of those who assisted me were polite, and overall the service was what stood out the most to me. Menu: Vast, albeit somewhat repetitive in nature. Still, lots and lots of choices. Choice is good! Chips and Salsa: Chips nice and crunchy, but salsa very bland and too tomatoish for my taste. I should have asked for tomatillo salsa in lieu of the tomato-based stuff they serve. Oh, and contrary to one of the past reviews, there is no restriction on who gets free chips and salsa… you don’t need to order x dollars worth of food to get it. Mine was served well before I selected my food. I ended up opting for the carnita soft tacos(tacos de carnitas). There were three, and the pork was well cooked and retained the proper taste, without much seasoning. And that’s fine by me, as I like to taste the main ingredient. It was also plentiful, to the point that it was impossible to eat the tacos without chunks of pork falling out. The tacos were accompanied by small containers of tomatillo sauce and pico de gallo, and when added they contributed a kick that had me sweating from the solid level of heat that they brought! The meal came with a side of refried beans with cheese on top, and they were fine. Prices were fair enough, particularly since you’re not going to go home hungry. In the end, PG earns 4 stars for its solid Mexican food and terrific service.

Location: RIGHT off of 100, directly across from Marley Station Mall. This place appeared closed to me and since there are no lights on the outside indicating otherwise, I had yet to check it out. I have been working right down the street from it for over a year. I discovered it was open, alive, and well when I was invited to a business lunch here last week. I was impressed. The menu is LARGE(almost more of a con than a pro… many, many options, some items are just one ingredient different from the previous), the portions are LARGE, and the sitting area is pretty large, too. We had a party of 9, were seated quickly(we made a reservation), served quickly, and all the food came out correctly. The food was delicious, from the stuffed jalepinos to the quesadilla to the fajitas. I would definitely recommend this for a family dinner, business lunch, or any other occasion. It was quiet enough to talk and the service was good. I am happy. Priced fairly too. Typical Mexican-fare atmosphere and clean.
