I guess tonight is the last time we are eating here. Sign in the door said they are closing in March. I have never had a bad experience eating here. It is your typical chinese buffet restaurant.

I wish I could give a great review, I really do… but I can’t. When I moved to MD in July of last year I accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I were so pleased with the selection, quality and freshness of the food that we vowed to make Poseidon not only come regularly but to also being friends and family that come to visit. I do to know what has happened between July of ’12 and Dec. of ’13! After our initial visit we stopped in a few weeks later and were thoroughly disappointed. The food had been sitting out too long, it was greasy, tough and the selection wasn’t nearly as vast as it was before. We gave the benefit if the doubt(every restaurant has an off night) do we figured we’d give it another try, eventually. A few months later, we did. Same result. Over priced buffet and old, greasy, dry, poor quality food. We vowed that we would never come back. And we didn’t…for at least 6 months. Unfortunately we were out Christmas shopping last night, we were cold and starving and forgot our ‘vow’ and the reason we initially made that vow. But we soon remembered. I will never, EVER go back to Poseidon Seafood Buffet. Did I say«Ever»? Yes, EVER. I wouldn’t feed the food to a dog I didn’t like. It had been sitting out for who knows how long. It was either cold and shriveled or lukewarm and greasy. The egg rolls were so stale that the grease had settled on the bottom side and hardened the ‘shell ’ yo the point where I couldn’t even bite through it. I went back to get another(hoping it was just a fluke) and it was the same. The only ‘good’ part of the buffet(good as in ‘edible’), were the desserts. That’s it. Don’t waste your money at this place!

Read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. Disappointment is what we got. The sushi had no taste, the American food looked dry and unappetizing, and the Chinese food was mediocre. Only thing that was decent was the made-to-order stir fry, but even that was super salty. Never going back there.

The fried food and«American» food is all frozen same crap you can buy in the grocery store — you’ll find it all right next to the tater tots in the frozen section. I don’t think a damn thing in here is home made and I know know I should not expect that but if you can’t at least season the fried food — then don’t bother putting out seafood. It’s hard to screw up seafood but this place manages to muddle it up on a regular basis. We stopped going here once we found New Lucky Garden buffet. Oh and the other big buffet Hibachi Sushi & Supreme Buffet down by Big Lots and A.C. Moore is run by the same family. Blech

This place gets 1 star for the Beautiful décor but that’s it. Food was great when they first opened. One year later, the quality & selection in food has fallen down a steep slope to horrible. Food was all dried out an cold. This is dangerous at a buffet! Don’t go unless you want to risk foodbourne illness. We left after one small plate. Will never go again. …I should have listened to my mother…

I don’t know what these reviews are talking about but this place was horrible. The food was mediocre if I can even call it that. And I eat at Chinese buffets at least once a week as I work by 2. Food was not seasoned well at all, American and Chinese food, both bad good quality. A lot of the food was undercooked, my crabs stunk to the high heavens as if they weren’t stored properly, but steamed and served anyway. No seriously, my crab legs smelled like SHIT(like feces type of shit). Egg rolls had no flavor, lo mein had no flavor. The only thing that was ok was the fish, but I ate four shrimps, tasted everything else and left my plate right on the table. I would never in my life come back here, I felt disgusted my entire way home. We contemplated leaving once we smell the shit crab, but I wanted to give it a try, never again.

I do NOT recommend eating here. Within 30 – 45 minutes of leaving I got sick to my stomach, throwing up. I’m thankful I made it home. The place overall was dirty. The floors were sticky and had visible food spilled and left. The staff was not friendly-even acted put out when I asked for anything. They had a very big variety but I guess that doesn’t matter if it makes you sick.

Clearly the people reviewing this place don’t go to buffets often. Coming from a person who goes to buffets regularly in multiple states this place is as good as it gets! We found this place purely by chance and decided to take a look. The selection is amazing! You do have to pay a little extra for crab legs, you get a bracelet and you can have as much as you want. You can also pay extra for a fresh steamed lobster with your meal. Their seafood section was amazing! Fresh, plentyful, delicious. They had TONS of Maryland crabs. The small ones that you normally pay big bucks for. We went to a crabshack the night before and payed over 100 bucks for 6 crabs. Here it comes FREE with the buffet! As many as you want, and you don’t have to pay the extra for the maryland crabs. Their sushi was free with the buffet and it was delicious! The sushi guys took pride in their work and made the sushi well, they even garnished it well and served it all pretty. The fresh fruit selection was crazy! So much fruit! Amazing desserts as well! It’s been a while since I ate here so I can’t go into specifics due to the fact that I can’t remember but everything was hot, tasty, and replaced regularly. This is the best buffet we’ve ever been to and if I’m ever in Maryland again I will be sure to stop here!

I dont eat seafood buffets but on the pushing of my sister I tried it. Decent chinese on the buffet, a small hibachi grill and some sushi(which I diddnt eat) Not a bad spot for $ 10 chinese lunch. Service was nice even if the waitress had her 2 year old running around in her section.

We went here last night for the first time because of my 19 year old niece. There were 10 of us all together and if you ask and you have a very large party you can get a discount. What usually costs $ 15.00 per person with drink was only $ 13.00 per person. Very large selection of food on the buffets. I’m not a big Sushi eater but I decided to try it and surprisingly it was excellent the sushi rollswere great and yes they have raw fish, though I don’t eat raw anything due to the risks involved! Lots of Chinese food on one Buffett, excellent salad bar, fish galore, steamed crabs and shrimp, FRESH fruit, desserts, soups, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, steamed green beans, Mac n cheese, fried chicken and the list goes on! As with one of the reviews she said there were flies, the place was exceptionally clean, well laid out and very fresh! I saw no flies whatsoever. If you are looking for variety I would definitely try this buffet for yourself and make up your own mind! Though there were things I didn’t like, it doesn’t mean that you won’t like it! Staff was VERYFRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE, our server kept our drinks filled and our table cleared so we could continue to get new plates of food. Since this place is pretty new it doesn’t seem like it was that crowded and we all went around 6pm on a Saturday! I say try it and I’m sure you will make this a regular restaurant on your list to go to!

So the holiday weekend, my fiancé, me&the mother-in-law went. So, Sushi at a buffet? WHAT??? I was excited, but then I saw it. I’m in culinary school, flies everywhere is a big NO-NO! Means something isn’t fresh, or good, or gone bad. Just, no. It tasted good, but I just didn’t have the stomach to try more. The stir-fry was damn good, the cook that perfectly. The dessert was even good. But god damnit, they lost me at the flies being everywhere. That’s disgusting. Clean your restaurant, you’ll get people sick that way.

Found this buffet on Unilocal as #1 according to where I was located at the time and searching for seafood… I now know why! Food — there was plenty of variety for all type of eaters, but especially seafood. One biggie, they had whole crabs! and a sushi chef! and shrimp 10 ways! They even had an ice cream freezer, a chocolate fountain for marshmallows and strawberry’s, and REAL fruit(not canned fruit) of all kinds. I’m talking kiwi, pineapples, real grapes with seeds in them. Simply put, I had about 4 plates of food… there was just so much to choose from. Staff– friendly, are attentive and they actually serve you the drinks and napkins, etc for your table. Place was clean. We went on Sunday and got there around 1230, which was good because church let out after and everyone came in. While they take reservations, there’s no need to if there isn’t a big party in house. I’d go again.

This place is amazing! There name says seafood but what they have is so much more! I went there looking for Chinese food, I went to the buffet and all I could say is WOW! There were at least 5 different shrimp a large selection of fish, ham, ribs, beef, chicken and a large sushi bar and lots more. Everything looked so good I wish the plates were larger. The staff was watching every move and if something was dropped they cleaned it immediately.

I don’t think I’d ever been to Glen Burnie before and I honestly have no idea why we decided to eat here, but it wasn’t bad. The restaurant itself is huge, the buffet was clean and seemed well stocked, and it was really cheap. The sushi was pretty good, although there was no description for what anything was so besides a few obvious selections, I have no idea what I was eating. The chocolate fountain in between the sushi and carving station was really, really odd. Besides the sushi, the only foods I really liked were the coconut shrimp and crab rangoons. Oh, and for whatever reason, they had some really good kielbasa… go figure… The desserts weren’t that great, although there was some particularly good banana pudding. Fresh pineapple was also yummy. Crab legs were an additional $ 10 and how they looked validated my decision not to get them. Overall, not bad, clean, friendly staff… not a bad choice.

I’m getting right down to business on this one: The pros: –Nice décor –The person who cleaned the tables was nice –Sushi wasn’t terrible… neither was the egg drop soup The cons: –All the other food I had was awful. The funny part about it is that almost everything I hated was fried food. One of the easiest things to learn how to do, deep fry stuff, and they screw it up. I mean, I know it’s an AYCE, but the food was chewy! There was no satisfying crunch. It didn’t «melt in my mouth». It all tasted stale, like a chip bag left open for a week. Not only that, but they had a serious temperature problem. As in what should have been cold(i.e. the sushi) was room temp, and several of the warm items were cold. Seriously, if you’re going to spend $ 15/person(w/o drink and tip), just go to a real restaurant. You may not get as much food, but if you’re type who enjoys food that tastes good, trust me, it’s a better choice. Or look for a different AYCE in the area. Honestly, I don’t really care, but I’m telling you: you don’t want to go here. Now excuse me while I try to work off all the senseless calories I just ate.

After several hours of perusing the Walters Art Museum, we quickly Unilocaled to find sustenance on the way back to my mom’s Linthicum hotel. This buffet was HUGE, clean and the staff was friendly. I liked the fact that sashimi was available @ the Sushi Bar. Between that, the nigiri and marshmallows dipped in chocolate, I was a happy camper.

Poseidon Seafood Buffet has pretty decent selection of seafood and the typical Chinese-style dishes. I didn’t see any lobsters as one review mentioned, but there were steamed peel-and-eat shrimp, steamed old bay crabs, clams, mussels, raw oysters, a decent selection of sushi, shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp, baked scallops, baked fish, fried fish, stuffed crab, crab cakes, and a few items. This buffet is definitely one of the better Chinese buffets I’ve been to in the entire area. It’s pretty clean and the service is sufficient. There’s good turnover of the food on the buffet due to the constant stream of customers. We went on a weekday night and it was clear other people enjoy coming here, as there are regulars that the staff recognize and the place had a steady stream of diners coming in. There aren’t many choices for cooked vegetables/greens here. Oddly enough, there is a pretty big selection of desserts, ranging from pies and cakes to ice cream novelties for dessert. Another downside here is the snow crab legs. For snow crab legs, it’s an additional 10 bucks per person. Drinks aren’t included in the dinner price.

Owners are seriously the nicest people ever. There is a lot of great food, sushi, ice cream, etc. A lot of seafood choices that you normally don’t see at other buffets. Great Prices. The place is GINORMOUS, they could probably host multiple parties at once. Very clean and not crowded. Huge parking lot. It is next to Pep Boys. Check out the pictures I uploaded. :) Check out the place before it gets too popular !
