I went to Regency over Labor Day weekend to try and find a twin sleeper sofa bed. I needed a twin since a Queen would not fit in its intended basement space at my residence. I had been looking for months, and I had priced a nearly identical sofa bed at Gardiner-Wolfe Furniture. I liked the Gardiner-Wolfe(GW) bed but the price was a bit high. I revisited GW over Labor Day weekend and the manager was still adamant that he would not lower the price one iota. I told Naveed the salesman, and Joe the manager, my sofa bed saga at Regency. We were able to work out a fair deal, plus I got a six month interest free payment plan which was never offered at GW. Should I need additional furniture I will plan to visit Regency first. Joe, Naveed and the Administrative Assistant, Amber were all helpful and considerate during the sale process.

Not sure why this place is even open. I went in looking for a small table. First off, most of the people that work there are outside smoking and chatting. However, one look at the parking lot tells why. No one is shopping in the store! Their stuff is extremely shoddy looking and craftsmanship doesn’t exist, see other reviews. Think of this place as a much cheaper version of Ashley Furniture. Honestly, I wish they would have put in another grocery store here. Glen Burnie needs another furniture store… NOT. All is not lost though, there’s a great HomeGoods next store. If you want good stuff, go there instead.

These folks should learn what no hassle buying is. We were followed through the store, the entire store, the whole time we were browsing. I felt like I had a protective service detail following me just in case a bargain jumped out and attacked us. Not bad inventory, a little pricey for the area and again please lighten up on the ‘help.’ Adults can ask for assistance with furniture if they need it.

Is it possible to give less than five stars for customer service? My sister won a certificate for $ 500 to purchase anything from the store. It was a coupon and it was good for 6 months. She selected an item from the store, but it had to be sent over from the warehouse. In order to get the item, she has to turn the coupon in 2 days before it was expected to be delivered to store. It made it difficult because I was trying to help her pick it up and I live in Virginia and she in Maryland. Basically, you must pay(or use coupon) for any item in full before they will ship it to the store. In addition, you are only allowed to one-stop shopping with the coupon so the coupon has to be used on one visit. Also, the item she wanted was less on line… interesting…guess that’s their internet price? So on our first visit to the store, the salesmen were all over us and eventually«Jacque» waited on us and was very attentive until he realized she was using a $ 500 coupon that she won. The next time she was in the store not one salesperson wanted to talk to her. It seems that the salespeople don’t make any commission on coupons. I called the store and spoke to Jean, a very nice woman and asked if I paid for the Item today with a credit card over the phone, could we switch is out with the coupon a couple of days later when the item arrived… NO… Could I order it on line and cancel it when it arrived at store… Jean said I guess so. Jean was nice but basically said«I just work here». There was no manager in the store to talk to. Only the«office manager» was making decisions that day. The manager was out and had not been there most of the day according to Jean. So, my sister has to drive from Silver Spring, Md, today and turn in her coupon which will be her one time stop to use the coupon in order for the item to be in the store on Saturday when I will drive all the way from Virginia to help her pick it up to avoid the ridiculous delivery fee of $ 150 for a small cabinet. Jean gave me the Corporate number. I called and spoke to unfriendly Rose. Rose said if I buy the item on internet today and cancel it on Saturday and in turn my sister could use her one-stop shopping coupon, is that okay. Rose says you can do that but there is a 30% fee to cancel??? She says it is written on sales receipt? Bottom line, if you win a coupon which seems like a great thing at the time, good luck working with this store. Not a professional store, poor customer service and makes it very difficult to use your winning coupon…
