This place is fantastic. I’ve been a few times now and I’ll definitely be back. The staff is very friendly and the food is terrific! Hot towels served before food are like a mini hot tub for your hands/face and the sushi is wonderful and fresh.

I have been here twice now and the sushi is great. I have gone late at night so the service has been fast and wonderful. I will be coming here again in the future.

If I could give a zero star I would. I ordered a spicy tuna and an eel roll for my wife. The spicy tuna was substandard. I wouldn’t even feed to this sh** to my dog… She threw up after eating a couple pieces.

This was my first visit. I was in a hurry, so I picked up some lunch to-go. I tried the Chicken Teriyaki w/shrimp and Veggie Tempura. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Its a nice establishment, hidden in a shopping center. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

Atmosphere: Lovely Japanese style dining interior. Fairly low lighting. Coat rack by front door. Service: Just okay. We kept having to ask to have our waters refilled. We liked how they presented us with hot towels before dining. Food: Sushi was just OK. Meh quality ingredients. The food tasted alright, not bad, but nothing fantastic. Small portions for the expensive price.

I should have written this review last night, when the names of what I ate were fresh in my mind. It really doesn’t matter, though, because everything was excellent. My friends peer-pressured me into trying the sweet shrimp which, in case you don’t know, is the uncooked body and tail of the shrimp, with the head and attached legs and thorax of the shell crispy-fried and served next to the uncooked tail(which is all of the meat). Yes, the head is to be eaten and, despite my squeamishness with eyes, I ate it all. It was very good, although I might not have actually done it without the assistance of my bottle of Snow Maiden nigori sake. The M80 was phenomenal, as was the special sushi($ 12 for 5 pieces) whose name I can’t remember. Sorry, but it had some jalapeño, a lot of fish, and was excellent.

Went again last night, had another great meal. The sushi here is incredibly fresh and delicious, consistent every visit. We had the Sashimi appetizer, miso soup, 3 different rolls and a couple specials. The m-80 and dynamite have a fresh spicy scallop I just can’t find anywhere else, wrapped in salmon or tuna.. Simply incredible. We’ve been going here for 8 years, and it’s definitely my favorite sushi place.

We have been coming here for years and love the freshness of the sushi. They get overwhelmed by crowds on certain nights, but everything is always great and worth the wait. They serve traditional sushi, so expect the usual rolls and offerings. My kids love the fried rice! I usually get the spicy bowl, which is a change from the usual sushi combination plate. Try the spider roll.

This has been my family’s go-to sushi place for years! We’ve never had any complaints. We love the prices. We love the couple that runs the place. The husband makes the sushi. The wife seats. The fish and the rice taste fresh enough. It looks pretty. We love it! Lately, it hasn’t been very crowded and we don’t know why… Favorite rolls in order: special eel. Tokyo. Rainbow. Crazy. Sumo.

The best sushi anywhere in the area. Sit at the sushi bar and let the chef make suggestions. I even tried the oyster shooter with the quail egg. It was fabulous! I always take what is recommended. Casual atmosphere with a great drinks list. Service is great.

Worst service ever. Mediocre food. I hope they go out of business.

Just grabbed take out sushi from here tonight. I got the Toyko roll and the Crazy roll, along with a miso soup. The place seems clean, has a pretty well stocked bar, and the few people in there were clearly regulars. They were talking with the woman who fretted me about vacation and whatnot. The food was good. Not great, but a solid good. The rice could have been done better but there are zero complaints about the fish. The soup was still hot when I got home, 10ish minutes later. I will definitely be back. I also included photos of the real menu, as I notice that the menu on here is wrong.

Tokyo Sushi is the absolute best place to go for sushi in the Pasadena/Glen Burnie/Annapolis area. It is literally one of the best kept secrets around. I’ve tried pretty much all of the sushi places in this area and Tokyo is the only one that I return to time and time again. I highly recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll, TNT Roll, Oyster Shooters, Chirashi and Sashimi Deluxe. I have not had anything from Tokyo Sushi that I have not enjoyed thoroughly. I’m also a big fan of the laid back environment and friendly attitude that everyone at Tokyo displays.

So after reading some of the reviews I thought this place would be a great for take out sushi. We stopped in after my nieces birthday to place an order. First thing you smell is the DISGUSTING carpet, and they have old fans covered with dust blowing all over the place. My husband went to use the restroom, and when he came back said he was not eating a thing of there. There is a freezer in the men’s room FULL of food. I still got sushi because that cannot be a frozen product and I could see all of it. Long story short. We will not be returning. The staff is not friendly, the restaurant is disgusting, that’s putting it nicely, and the sushi was made very poorly. all of my rolls fell apart. Thankfully I can tell fresh sushi from bad sushi and it was pretty fresh. That was all they had going for them. The smell of the carpet and burning teriyaki sauce will make you sick alone!

This place was pretty good to crave your sushi fix. The owner is really friendly and seems to know a lot of the people that come in. The rolls are really cheap(even the specialty ones) ranging from $ 5 to $ 10. The ninja is REALLY good! I def recommend it. TNT is a nice cheap roll and the salmon sashimi plate was really refreshing. Only thing reason i knock it to 3 stars instead of 4 is it’s not super clean. The green tea cup had sticky residue on the side of the lip of the cup, the floor wasn’t the cleanest, and the bathroom is used for some storage.

Scandalous!!! Very few items on the«explore menu» tab are actually on the menu. We were in the area and wanted sushi. We were going to go to Sakura, but after using the Unilocal app to explore the menu of this place, we did not walk… we ran here. There were specifically 4 things on that menu I came looking for — Tuna Tataki, Broiled’s Yellowtail’s Cheek, Green oinion and beef roll and wanton soup. NOTONE on the paper menu handed to me at the restaurant. And then… the food wasn’t good save for the green salad’s ginger dressing — that dressing and not terrible service is the reason for the second star. That’s it. The fried food was oil logged from being fried at a low temp. My tuna sashimi was so fibrous I couldn’t stomach it. The fish was not very fresh at all. I was just unhappy and think if I’m in the area again and really want sushi that I’ll look elsewhere. This was a disappointment.

Dear People Who are Being Rough on Tokyo Sushi: Please keep in mind that this is Glen Burnie. If you grew up in the area, as I did, there were many years when you wouldn’t have been able to fathom that a sushi bar could exist in 21060 without spontaneously combusting into a puddle of melted cheese. So, that fact established, I can go on to say that the sushi was very good. Fresh ingredients, a talented chef(we like to sit at the bar where we can watch him) and reasonable prices. The décor is a little odd, but I find it homey, and the servers are friendly to match. We’ve tried almost all of the rolls(except anything with cream cheese in it – I guess it’s a nod to the area, but ugh, cream cheese in sushi?!) and enjoyed them; everything is artfully prepared and served with the customary wasabi and pickled ginger. I also like their seaweed salad, crunchy and filling with a pleasant sesame flavor. Cold sake comes in an adorable little bottle. Oh, and before you eat, they’ll bring you a steaming, scented wash cloth to sponge off your hands and face; it’s a heavenly way to begin your meal. So, yes. Nothing amazing. But authentic Japanese cuisine in Glen Burnie? That’s nothing short of a miracle.

Locally known, and popular sushi place in the area, Tokyo Sushi. Food and service is mildly best at times. I have ate here several times, each time, I left disappointed. Sushi, here is okay at best, I did have one of the worst California rolls from here though. As for the other rolls, they’re passable for grocery store quality sushi, and I am not referring to Whole Foods sushi, either. Also the miso soup was some of the worst I have ever had. Customer service was probably the best thing about this location. Since they have been open for a while their regulars and Shokunin will talk will they prepare your meal. The décor is basic and out of date, generic sushi house place mats, and disposable chop-sticks will accompany you for your meal. They do also have a hot towel service, one reason I gave them two nit just one star. As for seating, they offer tables, a few booths and seating at the sushi bar.
