Course: More challenging course than I usually play — favors right-handers a little bit more. Plenty of pretty long par 4s and the weeds were quite high all over but particularly near the water. Greens and fairways were impeccably kept. Service: We planned an outing here with 4 foursomes and the staff was incredibly accommodating in terms of timing, rentals, carts, etc. Did not encounter a beer girl until the 18th hole, we did tee off around 9:30 am so I understand reticence but would’ve appreciated a first drive by around 11 or noon. The driving range machines were down in the morning so we could not warm-up. Food/Drink: Pretty standard muni-course fare.

Duffer central. What do you do with a bunch of old, fat white guys to keep them out of trouble? Send them golfing of course… The GC Golf course is a public course which is not all that intimidating but it does sit on the water, which makes it a nice day out in the summer. I really don’t play golf all that much, but I do take advantage of their paddleball courts and the newly renovated restaurant on the premises. Not a whole lot to say– the greens are green the flags are flapping and the carts generally get you back to the clubhouse. The paddleball courts are in dire need of a makeover and the restaurant is good. Plenty of parking. Get out and whack a few balls.
