Purchased two groupons for a cut, highlights and style because it was such a great deal. When trying repeatedly over two weeks I was never able to make an appt., no one ever answered the phone and it went straight to voicemail where I was told that the subscriber can not accept voicemails at this time. Frustrated, I called groupon who looked into the situation and came back and said that someone there has a personal issue going on and are unable to take calls. Really? Is there only one person who works at this salon? I am sympathetic to issues but someone should be there to field calls to let clients know what’s going on. Needless to say, I requested and received a full refund. So dissapointed.

I purchased the Groupon for a cut, style and full highlights and was very disappointed. I arrived at 2:00 p.m. and didn’t leave until after 5:00 p.m. She proceeded to service two others while I waited and one was a full highlight as well. She told me she likes to cut hair dry??? So after taking out my foils she put me under the dryer for over 40 minutes while she foiled someone else. Then she tried cutting my hair while it was dry and flat to my head from being under a dryer. It was seriously one of the worst hair cuts I have ever had. The salon itself is beautiful but the lighting is very dark. I suppose that’s so you can’t really see what she is doing.

I went to Min Lin Salon because of the Groupon deal for 3 feather hair extensions. I’ve been wanting them for so long and when Groupon had the offer, I had to pounce on it. Granted, it was a bit of a haul for me to drive from Morton Grove to Glen Ellyn but it was totally worth it.
Making an appointment with her is super easy. If you call her and she doesn’t answer, she’s most likely busy with a client. She calls you back right away, or you can always email her or go on her Facebook page and she always gets back to you.
When I arrived, there were 2 other girls getting the feather hair extensions. Both left super excited and super happy. Mindy takes you over where she has an amazing variety of feathers to choose from. At first, I wanted something more neutral, then decided to go with something more bright. She chose 3 feathers, in a variety of pink hues for me.
Putting them in was really quick. About 5 minutes. She was also really detailed in how to take care of them. When they fall out, you can keep the feathers and she’ll put them in for you for $ 10.
Mindy will listen to what you want and also suggests what she thinks is best. The placement of the feathers is crucial and she placed them perfectly. Mine are so bright, but the way they’re placed I can show them off or hide them for a more subtle feel.
I work near the area, so I definitely see coming back to her for future services.

I found this place on groupon. They were doing a special on the latest fad; feathers! I had Mindy help pick out feathers and put them in my hair. She was so nice and took great care of me. She even took the time to straighten my hair afterward to make it look extra nice.
I highly recommend this salon. Very relaxing atmosphere! I hate big salons like Mario Tricoci because they don’t give that personal touch. You have 5 different people taking care of you, which means 5 different people you’ll have to end up tipping. I’d much rather have the one stylist who knows you and what you like. If you are like me in that sense, definitely give Mindy a call!
