Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

I had a great experience here, working with the knowledgeable staff who helped me pick out paint colors for my home. My husband and I appreciate the quality of both the paint and service in this store, and we would highly recommend it to anyone expecting quality paint in their home.

Used to be that if you were buying a house people would say «paint is cheap». actually, I think we still say that. but it’s very relative.
I go to three different Sherwin Williams stores (not on purpose, it just ends up that way) and use their paint almost exclusively (Benjamin Moore is good too, this is just the direction we chose) I like all of the stores (Lisle, Naperville and this Glen Ellen store) that I go to.
We started with Sherwin Williams because that was what our contractors were using. More than one contractor on more than one place. I really wanted to standardize our paints so that we can always go back and get paint to fix problems etc…
For our investment properties and the main areas of our house we use Shaker Beige, we are having an addition built and will continue the common area with Shaker Beige and then add colors where appropriate. we brought four home to try… Meditative (kind of blue) Coastal Plain (kind of green) and two tans; Latte and Nomad Desert.
We like their stores, customer service is excellent. We had a really nice young man help us out this day, but we always have good experiences. They’ll mix up inexpensive samples for you to take home and try and they have pretty much everything you need. They’ll also keep you in their system in case you forget what you bought before.
Several years ago one of my contractors said that I could go get the paint myself and he would send the painters over. I went to Home Depot (not dissing the Depot, I like them) and bought the best Behr paint (custom in Shaker Beige) that I could find. The workers did the best they could, but I had to go back and double my original paint order because they paint wasn’t covering properly. I wasn’t happy about that and it was a lot of extra running (and $) around for no reason. The painters in their broken English were telling me that I should have gotten Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore.
I’m not screwing around with it anymore. It’s SW all the way.
Oh, and we are using Meditative (I love that name) and Nomad Desert (little darker than Shaker Beige, lighter than Latte)

Friendliest service combined with a rather knowledgeable and honest staff really has made for my paint shopping experiences to be beyond stellar.
