Cheung Khei is my brother’s favorite local Chinese take out restaurant nd has become mine as well :-) Their Singapore Chow Mein Fun is one of my favorites. I always ask them to make it extra spicy and they dont disappoint!

Favorite local Chinese Food spot. Spare Rib Tips are hard to find and they certainly make them well

This place used to be great. But the quality of their food has seriously declined. They’ve cut corners in an attempt to save a few bucks and it shows. I recently ordered a large orange beef and General Tso’s chicken with extra sauce for delivery and was severely disappointed. I placed my order at 6:15, but my food didn’t come until about an hour later. I was informed that my estimated wait time would be 30, minutes, so when the food was an half hour late, I was already incredibly disappointed. When I opened up the orange beef, ¼ of my container was taken up by a large lemon they placed in the box. The lemon serves absolutely no purpose other than to take up space in the box so they won’t have to give away as much beef. The General Tso’s chicken was dry as a bone. There was barely any sauce on the chicken at all. What little sauce I could taste was sickly sweet, not spicy how General Tso’s should be. Not to mention the fact that three quarters of my container was just rice, with some dry chicken tossed in at the last moment. I will not be returning here and I absolutely would not recommend this place for dinner.

This place has been THE local Chinese spot in my neighborhood for me and every one i have ever know growing up in Bellerose. like most everyone els has said on here, the food is awesome and you cant beat the prices for how much of a great thing you get when you order. one the best things i also have to add is the fact that if you ask they will tofu pretty much any style you want which is awesome for when your vegetarian and get bored of always ordering generals tso style. Also the dumplings in the place are top notch. you cant go wrong with just about anything in this place, and anyone who lives around here will tell you.

I agree with the chick who reviewed«I pulled up here and was like, what the hell?» The first time my boyfriend brought me here I made a face. It definitely looks no frills and borderline dingy from the outside. However, what really matters is the yummy food. In fact, in retrospect, I like that Cheung Khei put the décor budget into the fresh food instead. Friendly faces are always pleasant and professional here. I highly recommend the roast pork fried rice and any shrimp dish. The shrimps are large, fresh, and flavorful. Yum! I regret not living closer to this place. Lord knows most Chinese food on the UES of Manhattan is not as good as Cheung Khei and 3x the price.

Good place if you want a quick decent Chinese meal. I really enjoy their Sichuan sliced beef with vegetables. Also very easy to pull up in front to pickup.

This is my go-to Chinese take-out place in the neighborhood. The people who work here are really friendly, and very nice to my daughter. Anytime I pick up my order, they give her a free fortune cookie. That said, the food isn’t bad… just the same as any Chinese Take-out place I guess, so for me, it’s all about the service. Would also like to add, it’s a cash-only place so keep that in mind if you decide to order. The fried dumplings are my fave.

Here’s the quick scoop: good food, low prices. Order any of the following for a good time: Garlic shrimp, curry shrimp, moo goo gai pan, and crab rangoon. Pro tip: When getting the lunch special, you can swap out the egg drop for hot sour soup by adding a quarter.

We ordered here for the first time and pretty good so far. General ptso chicken and chicken with broccoli was not oily like we have had in other places. Will definitely go back for more.

No way is anything anyone said here true. I tried takeout based on these reviews including sesame chicken and threw everything in the garbage. Gross.

We ordered for delivery, was here before the time they said so, that was a plus. Most of the food was good, but nothing amaizing. I would eat there again.

The common american inspired chinese dishes here are pretty good. The sesame chicken is very good as is the fried rice. If you are looking for a quick take out/delivery in the Glen Oaks area this should be your go to spot. Enjoy!

This place gets a 5-star rating in the Take Out/Delivery Chinese category. Steamed Dumplings, Hot and Sour Soup, Sesame Chicken/Fried rice combo, and eggroll was only $ 15.50 all together and everything tasted great. The dumplings had alot of juicy pork in them and the sesames on the crispy chicken were delicious. I’m definitely going to make this my new local Chinese take out spot. P. S. It’s cash only and they have no website or menu online.

Solid and cheap option in the area. They are one of the only places in the area with crab rangoons, and decent ones at that, but they’re served with sweet and sour sauce rather than duck sauce which is a weird taste if you’re not used to it. The sesame chicken is really good and so is their fried rice. Also much nicer than most places, their people are friendly.

I pulled up and was like, what the hell? The outside by no means should deter you. But, I thought a few Unilocalers were trying to pull a fast one on me. But, I was WRONG! Friendly and happy people take your order. I ordered a bunch of food for an easy family get together. Everything was delicious — chicken dumplings, sesame chicken, fried vegetable dumplings, pepper steak, chicken with cashews and yummy chicken noodle soup. The place looks like it needs to be wiped down — but the food was good, yummy and satisfying. And SO plentiful for the price. No credit cards — only cash!!!

I am from out of town(Wisconsin) and stopped here to get carryout for lunch. The staff was friendly and super high speed efficient at the same time. They are organized, fast, and efficient. I saw them packing up large carryout orders as I waited(I didn’t call in first) and no one who came in had to wait. I only had to wait about 5 minutes after I ordered to get my food. I got the Baby Shrimp With Peanuts and for a cheap lunch price the portion was very big. The carryout container was packed full and there was plenty of shrimp. Everything was hot and the food was tasty. Pretty much the perfect take out lunch. This is a mostly carryout place. The inside is small(4 booths), pretty run down and the booths looked like they needed a wipe down.

Great! Cheap, friendly and delicious. Some of the cheapest Chinese I’ve ever had. Healthy options as well.

When I first moved into the area about 4 years ago, it was one of 3 places to go. It was priced right, but the food was nothing special. Went back this past week for take out and my wife and I were happily surprised to find the food to have improved. Nothing special this time. Spare ribs, pepper steak, general tso’s combo, but it was really good! I guess it is the nature for take out places to have a roll over in cooking staff every so often(my dad used to have a place) and the one cooking now is great. Since Asian Bowl a few blocks down has gone in quality but up in price, this will be our new take out place when we don’t feel like cooking.
