New cooks and management have dramatically changed my last review. Everything we ordered was excellent. I would compare to an upscale restaurant. Please keep it as is. Don’t fix it if it’s not broken.

Great fried rice. Love the chicken and broccoli. Tastes amazing. Best Chinese restaurant in the area.

As of September 2015 it seems there are new people running this place and the last 3xs I’ve ordered it’s been a problem. I’ve ordered here religiously for the last 8 years and was always satisfied to have them so close to home. But I’m currently looking for a new spot because they’re not keeping up to the usual standards. Delivery didn’t come with the free soda, egg rolls came super saturated in oil, and lastly they left something out of the order and i had to drive back to pick it up. These occurrences happened separately the

My favorite Chinese take out in this area. They deliver and their lunch specials are great. Good prices and they’re very quick. My favorite entrée after a couple of trials is the chicken with eggplant & vegetable fried rice(extra spicy) lol. They also have really good boneless spare ribs. I tend to stay away from anything coated and fried. Keep in mind if you want white meat then you have to voice that. I learned my lesson with that one & they also charge $ 1 extra for white meat.

Review for Liu’s Garden… excellent food, good size portions, great variety, good prices, fast delivery or pick up. A regular friendly ethnic Chinese restaurant where you always feel like a friend. They run specials for lunch. And they give you extra things if you spend over a certain amount. Free soda, free pint of fried rice or dumplings, egg rolls, etcetera. Free delivery over $ 8. A+

This is my favorite chinese restaurant in the area. The food has always been tasty and the prices are comparable to other chinese restaurants. The food is prepared quickly and has been of better quality than other chinese restaurants in the area.

I’ve ordered from here for our home workers while they are doing construction or for me from time to time. Good portions and food was cooked well. It does take longer than expected to deliver given I live just several blocks away. Relatively cheap place to eat if you want some quick Chinese.

Okay. Here’s my final review for this place. I ordered a variety of stuff for dinner last week. The usual, chicken and broccoli, pork dumplings, chicken fried rice, and chicken chow fun. The chicken tasted weird. It was bland in the chicken and broccoli dish but the chicken in the other dishes had an old oil taste. On top of that, the texture and color was not how chicken slices are normally. I tried to convince myself that it was just old dark meat chicken. That didn’t work. Whatever was left went straight to the trash. I didn’t want to chance it. Oh well. I tried to support my local fast food Chinese restaurant but I can’t anymore. Too bad.

I have ordered take out form Liu’s near 10 times now and it has always been a delicious meal. Reason why they did not get 5 stars is because they do not accept credit cards. They are cash only which is can be a pain sometimes! Besides that I would reccommend them to anyone in the area

Pretty damn good for a take out joint! Some of my favorite lunch specials include: boneless spare ribs(well done w/extra sauce), chicken w/broccoli, sesame chicken(extra sauce), sweet & sour chicken & pepper steak. Also a fan of their vegetable lo mein, steamed vegetable dumplings & steamed chicken w/broccoli, white rice & black bean sauce on the side. If you’re looking to have food delivered during your lunch hour, just allow plenty of time for delivery. If the weather ain’t great, allow even more time. Co-workers have ordered at 11AM for a noon delivery but it’s a rare occurence that it actually arrives on time(and we’re basically right down the road). Just something to keep in mind… Other than that, never any issues! The quality of the food is worth it price wise.

The best Chinese take out, hands down! I used to live in Chinatown Brooklyn for about 5 years so you’ll have to take my word for it. Highly recommended: fried pork dumplings, special sauce chicken wings(not a joke their special sauce is awesome), general tso’s chicken combo(not just batter), boneless spare ribs combo, curry chicken combo, chicken lo mein, a healthy veg option I like is mei fun(I always bring it home and add sriracha and hoisin sauce to it(a bad habit to flavor up noodles) and their snap peas or broccoli sautéed on garlic sauce with brown rice. The spring rolls that come along with the combo are actually delish.

First Chinese takeout place ive sampled since i have moved. This place had good prices and the delivery was fast. I only tried the Szechuan Chicken and it was very good. They also had excellent fried rice. Liu’s doesnt come anywhere near the brilliance that is Nanuets fortune garden However as far as takeout goes it does the job. Looking forward to ordering more from Liu’s.

Had this last night. Was some of the best Chinese food I’ve tasted in a while. I just wish it didn’t give me food poisoning, forcing me to throw up an hour or two later. I ordered broccoli, so they must’ve tried real hard to mess that up.

The best pork fried rice I have ever had. Their food is definitely on the pricey side compared to other Chinese takeout places, but the food is worth it.

Been going there for years. The food is always fresh and totally acceptable. Sure, there are better places around, but I have no complaints. The staff is friendly and attentive. Give it a try.

This is our favorite Chinese take-out in New Hyde Park. We always order the chicken noodle, wontons, fried chicken wings, eggplant, chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce(not all at once). For typical takeout, the food is pretty tasty. I gave the restaurant 3 stars but my son adds another star because he likes it as well.

As Chinese takeouts go… this place is avg. The fried rice is equivalent to what you would find at a mall. The eggroll wasn’t too oily, that was a plus. The Singapore Mei Fun was spicy and texture was ok but too salty.

Always end up coming here with my «chinese food addict» friend. The service is fast, the chinese food decent. If you like bastardized chinese food(and yes secretly I enjoy it every now and again), and you live in the area, give it a try. Its solid. Trust me, I am Chinese ;-)

This is my favorite Chinese take out place in the area. This place may seem like your typical chinese take out, but the food is fresh and very delicious. I usually come here to order either the Beef and Broccoli, Beef Chow Fun, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, or General Tso’s Chicken. To sum it up, all dishes are great, the beef/chicken is tender and not too chewy, the broccoli is crisp and not soggy/soft, the General Tso’s chicken does taste like chicken, and the Chow Fun is not oily like what you may find at many other Chinese take outs. All sauces are made just right, not salty, not bland, but made just right. The Hot & Sour soup is pretty average, but good nonetheless. I find that some places can make their Hot & Sour soup very bland or make it too dark with soy sauce. If you make an order for $ 10, you can get a free coke/egg roll; at $ 20, make sure you get the free(12) fried wontons which are delicious. They are crispy and the meat is very flavorful.(At $ 30, I believe you can get a pint of lo mein, but I’m not too sure since I never order that much). Be sure to check this place out if you are in the neighborhood and want a chinese take out place that will keep wanting you to come back.
