Our family has been going here for years, and always enjoyed great service here. With our work and hobbies being more hands-on, we often find that our clothes have difficult– to-remove stains. Susan will always work with me on cleaning issues. I am always amazed at what comes out. Over the years we have brought in weight-change tailoring(they really know how to take things in without it showing) and garment repair(tears, zipper replacement, etc).

I’ve more or less tried all the dry cleaners in the area, and these guys are simply the BEST in town. Sam and Susan are very reliable and can always be counted on to treat my clothes with great care(which is surprisingly not the case with all cleaners!). Great value for your money and the tailoring services offered are top-notch.

Do you ever get such horrible service that you tell yourself: «I CANNOTWAITTOGOHOMEAND UnilocalABOUTTHIS!» Well, here I am and what a blessing it is that I’m the first Unilocaler to declare what a piece of ___this business is(still on fire) and prevent others from being physically assaulted. I took my dress in to get shortened for a wedding. It was leather on top and knit on the bottom. I measured 15 inches from the leather part of the dress.(a common place to confirm with the storekeeper who speaks 3 words of English) When I picked up my dress, I did think«wow, that’s really short». I took it home and measured it, it was 13 inches shorter(2 inches off) which means lots of butt cheek action. Not only that, but the back hem was shorter than the front — about a whole inch. There was no way of fixing this in time for the wedding. Fast forward post weekend… I finally went back to Glencoe Cleaners hoping to resolve the mistake they made by 1. maybe adding a ruffle 2. taking the whole entire knit piece off and sewing a different fabric piece on 3. adding a piece of leather at the bottom to make it longer… and I was more than happy to pay for whatever it was. Before I could even suggest that… read the next paragraph. Well, when I showed up… the same store keeper knew exactly why I was there. She got very confrontational with me and said«I KNEWYOUCOME» and grab the measuring tape and could not explain her theory of 15 inches… It was very strange as if she was waiting for me and had already boiled up as I parked my car. I explained to her what we agreed on and showed her the back hem being shorter… She then said«GETOUT, YOUMAKEPROBLEM» and I calmly said«okay fine, I will tell everyone about you and make sure they know you have poor customer service». I walked out and thought, «hmm, I should grab that piece of fabric — the other part of my dress.»(I mean I did pay for it) Well, as I went in and grabbed it and said«I need this»(side note: she had kept it anticipating my visit) she grabbed it from and me and pushed me out with doorway. Literally, we all know this pushing — push, step back, push, step back… I don’t remember being shoved in my entire life. She then grabbed my shoulder and said«GETOUT» and mumbled a bunch of crazy remarks which I am sure was not very nice.(as all her underpaid employees looked in disbelief) I threatened to call the police, but then I thought what a laugh that would be. «CUSTOMERSHOVED/ASSAULTED OVER A PIECEOFFABRICTHATWASCUTOFFHERDRESS» Anyways, do what you want, but any store personel who puts their hands on their customers like this does not deserve to thrive. She should really take an anger management class. It’s so sad that anyone could ever feel that low to push and shove anyone they don’t know, especially a paying customer. Hmm, Glencoe Cleaners — you may be the worst business I have ever dealt with.
