I stopped in at about 9:00 am on a weekday. I personally had quick, friendly service. The two employees I interacted with seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Got the Santa Fe sausage breakfast sandwich, it was pretty tasty. Spicceeeeey! Yum

I’ve been here twice and each time the customer service has been really slow and bad. Find another Einstein bagels.

Wish I could lower my rating from 1 star to 0 because that’s what this disaster deserves. At noon on a Sunday, it looks like someone backed a garbage truck up to the door and dumped the contents in the store. That’s how disgusting it is. Yes, I know many of the patrons are arrogant, self-centered, moneyed jerks who think it’s beneath them to carry their garbage to a trash can. Shame on them. But when there are more employees than there are customers, there should not be trash and food strewn all over the place. If the bagels weren’t good and I didn’t live so close by, I’d never ever step foot in this place. You shouldn’t either if you can go elsewhere.

Umm… was it a bad day for this place or was it a bad day? I’m going to assume it was just a bad day. Came in around lunch time for their thin asparagus, mushroom and swiss bagel sandwich with a mixed berry smoothie. They were out of mushrooms, so I thought I would get extra asparagus. Nope. The egg was honestly the best part. The problem with my sandwich is that there was so much pepper on all of it I couldn’t taste anything else… not even the actual bagel. Asiago cheese is pretty flavorful, too. The second I ordered they got slammed, and I watched people waiting in frustration. One guy waited a super long time and I saw him looking at his sandwich after he received it. He shook his head in frustration and left pretty angry… perhaps the wrong order? My smoothie took forever to come out, and of course it ended up being strawberry and not the berry one. Really? Not a big deal… but it shouldn’t have been a big deal to get what I asked for. Not sure why this place has so many quirks. It’s a shame. I just don’t understand how they stay in business. Perhaps the high school kids? Einstein used to be such a decent clean reliable chain. The word here is chain, so perhaps I’m being harsh in this review, but the Einstein’s in Lake Forest is top notch. I’ve never had an issue there. So, Einstein, I won’t be seeing you in Glencoe anymore, but you can bet you’ll see me in Lake Forest!

The staff at this place is unbelievably slow and incompetent. Prepare to wait a long time for the simplest of orders. I was here when there were only two other customers in the shop, and after sitting and waiting ten minutes for just a bagel… they had to come over to me to ask me what my order was because they had lost it. And then they got it wrong. Inconceivable.

I visit this place because the quality of their bagels is high. The asiago cheese is my favorite. Too bad the service is not good — unless you are served by the manager.

I love Einsteins as a whole, but this location SUCKS! the clientele is a bunch of cocks, the staff is inattentive and their idea of «toasted» is slightly warmed. all around a bad experience every time i visit.

This is the best place to get a variety of fresh bagels! And they have all kinds of cream cheeses that are always delicious. Their bagel dogs are a treat, too! We almost always come here when we’re in Glencoe, ever since the one in Highland Park closed!

My husband and I stopped at the Glencoe Einstein while shopping in Glencoe. It was our first(and last) visit there. We have an Einstein in our hometown, so we know the food is good. This one looked like it was on the last day of its once a week cleaning. Not one table or counter was clean and the floor was littered with napkins and crumbs. There were two people working and we were the only patrons except for a little boy whom I assume must have been one of the workers’ sons, so there should have been an opportunity for someone to clean the grimy tables.

The food is the same as all other Einstein’s in the chain. This is a smaller location and set up differently from most. I kind of like it. It feels more unique and cozy. I agree with other reviewers however that they could be better about cleaning the tables off and working on their understanding of English would be helpful. If you come expect the usual Einstein chain fare and a homey atmosphere but be sure to bring your patience for communication purposes.

Its an Einstein’s, pretty typical but with a much smaller eat in area than many other locations. This is also a hangout for the local kids, so it can be pretty busy after the final middle school bell of the day. That being said, I think they do a pretty good job keeping it neat and tidy given the volume of folks that come through here during the rush. The staff doesn’t seem to speak a whole lot of english outside the menu offerings, but they have always been helpful and polite, so no complaints there. Do expect a quizzical look if you ask for something out of the box though, since there may be a slight language barrier. All in all whatever your opinion if Einsteins overall, will probably be the same here.

I am not a huge fan of their bagels, but they do come out with interesting flavors and sandwich combinations. My one beef with this location is that the store is not always well maintained. I feel that I am constantly the one cleaning my own table after I get food.

Worst Einstein Bros. ever. EVER. Before I finally gave up on this place, I’ve had: –A lox bagel served to me minus the lox. –A visit where the only bagels they had out at noon on a Sunday were egg and plain. –3 straight weeks where the espresso machine was down and they couldn’t honor their own promotions. –3 visits where the employees outnumbered the customers and we still had to wait 20 minutes for our order.

This Einstein’s has definitely improved from the last time I was in town. It used to be kind of disheveled, the kind of place where you have to clean your own table before sitting down. Now, it feels clean and organized. I had a breakfast sandwich here earlier in the week and my Mom had her daily toasted bagel. Decent fare. Slight communication challenges with the staff, but nothing off-putting. Good place for a carb fix, kid-friendly, Mother-approved.
