Guild Hall Restaurant

This is for brunch
Their brunch menu is pretty solid
atmosphere is very pleasant and their brunch drinks are pretty good.
Portion size is on the euro side… so not too small, not too big, but you might walk away hungry.
I prefer their egg and chorizo dish which was very tasty but might be a bit overseasoned.
Pancakes were solid
Overall, nothing wrong with the place, pretty solid brunch choice

I was looking forward to my first time at Guild Hall this evening. My 5 friends and I, 2 of whom had just discovered Guild Hall a week or two earlier and had nothing but nice things to say about it. This was the reason we were there, to experience the enjoyable time they had there! We were all very happy sitting at the bar. We ordered a few appetizers, wine and beer. The bartenders, especially Gilberto, could not have been more pleasant and attentive! The atmosphere of the bar area just happened to be a very brightly lit area, which is the lighting we are used to every day, all day during our work hours. I think we were all looking forward to a dimly lit area to finally sit back and relax in! All we requested was that we would really appreciate the lights toned down. Well, apparently the owners in their meeting were more important to talk amongst themselves in the bright lights, than to accommodate patrons whom had spent quite a bit of money in a short time and certainly were planning on staying and spending a lot more! We were not going to let that ruin our evening. We immediately walked out, only to see they had dimmed the lights as soon we left! Thank you Guild Hall ! We and our friends and anyone who might mention this restaurant will surely get an earful from us! I’ve never done a review like this before and I’m normally not like this but I just felt like, wow! Happy Holidays to you ignorant owners! All it took was something as simple as dimming a few lights to make a few hard working women enjoy a well deserved evening out with each other! We ended up with a wonderful restaurant with a wonderful wait staff that truly appreciated us, and treated us with respect! That wonderful place happens to be Beelows in Highland Park!

The best thing about the place is the besutiful interior. The drinks are amazing but the best bartenders all left because of the management.
The food is hit and miss and pricey for the suburbs. The manager/“oldmam” host is horrible! RUDE and knows nothing about customer service. Not going back until he is gone.

A beautiful designed interior. Poor service. The wait staff is annoying, they hover over you and grab plates from the table while you are still dining. The rose wines are horrible. The menu is filled with greasy fried food.
The bar is probably fun. As a restaurant it fails completely.

They don’t accept Amex or MasterCard? What??! Dinner was good though. But still.
