Brought my new turntable by to get some help setting it up. Craig was super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and very helpful. I will return for all my vinyl needs.

Alex was gracious to help me get a cartridge installed on my head shell immediately. Robert was the guy that mounted it for me. Great friendly service. I’ll be back!

Ive been shopping here for 21 years and it is by far the best shop for dj equipment sales, rentals and repairs.

I took my Technics 1200 MK2 turntable to Robert to be repaid. I was a little hesitant at first as was afraid of getting ripped off. Robert asked me to bring in the turntable so that he can take a look at it. to make a long story short, Robert repaired my tonearm, and replaced my RCA’s and and pop up light. If you are looking for a affordable and honest repair shop go see Robert.

Damn. This place is awesome! I tried out their CDJs and even had a private room. There was some rain damage that originally made the room unavailable for just that day and they STILL managed to help me make it happen. Saul in particular was extremely helpful and nice — give that man a raise! I also produce raves in L.A. and even though we already have our own equipment, I am DEFINITELY coming here if we need any more gear at all because they have good rental rates too.

The first time I walked into this store I was unhappy with the service for sure. I probably should’ve reserved judgement. Because now after plenty of next visits I realized the personalities that make up the store are that of cool ass people. The staff is opposite of what I initially thought. They are knowledgeable of just about everything. Always have what I need and are friendly every time.

Love the service, I came in today to pick up a mixer and the process was so quick and easy. These guys really know what they’re doing. The price was also on the fair side. I couldn’t complain for they were one of the cheapest places i’ve come across. 2 thumbs up!

Super friendly service and a great store to explore. I am not a DJ at all — just needed my 70’s turntable looked at. The store is so well stocked with DJ equipment — it was impressive. Initially Lisa IM’d me when I was on the website early in the day, then helped me in store and introduced me to Robert (the technician) who tested and diagnosed the problem. Robert spent a good amount of time with me. The problem was the cartridge (which I suspected) — they showed me some options and set me up with a good one at a sale price — and charged only for the part not the technicians time. My turntable sounds great now — I will definitely go back again.

We had a power surge that completely destroyed our PA system. I brought it in to Robert in the repair department and he really came through for us. He worked with me and the insurance company and met all my requests and needs. He repaired everything quickly and at a fair price. Also he is a very personable and friendly person… As is everyone at Astro AVL. Thanks Robert!

Great place to come if you want quality service with a positive atmosphere! Astro has great customer service all around. Everyone here is very kind and are looking out for you. Spoke to Jonathan on the phone asking for a product I needed and he took his time answering questions for me. Spoke to a sales rep Nick at the store for what I needed and he took his time with me to answer all my questions as well. Later I spoke to the owner Craig who is super awesome and kind. Overall, it’s a great environment at this store. And a great team ready to take good care of you. Astro has great quality products as well. I will be back here again and again.

I brought in my parent’s old Sony turntable that’s sat unused for years. Robert took a look at it and tuned it up.
When I paid and took it home, the pitch was a bit off on it, so I took it back, but since they have a 3 month warranty on their tune-​ups, Robert gladly took back to work on it and now it plays perfectly.
I heard about Astro from some of the dudes that work at Mono Records that referred me. I suggest this place even if it’s all the way in Glendale!

Being a mobile DJ I have gigs every weekend. When my turntables stopped working I found Robert via great Unilocal reviews. I went in expecting to have my RCA cables replaced but turns out Robert was able to diagnosis the issue and save me money because my RCA cables were just fine.
I called him on a Thursday and he was miraculously able to give me same day service (don’t expect this but pray for it) which helped me prepare for my gigs this weekend. Robert was friendly, professional, and honest. Give him a call, now!

How many teachers in your life can you say «boy that teacher really impacted my life». Yes DAVEY ROCKIT was that kind of teacher for me. He’s given me this wonder gift that I get to now share with my family and friends.
This is my story with MY TEACHER… Mr. Davey Rockit.
My wife wanted to have a BIG 50 BIRTHDAY celebration. I figured I needed to hire a DJ. I thought I could come to this school and find some young DJ starting out that I could hire on a low budget. Talking to Davey he suggested why don’t I learn to DJ and I could DJ the party myself. I thought he was out of his mind. I was almost 50 myself. But I thought… well, I have the digital music library. But all that intimidating digital equipment was the big thing. He said he teaches kids from grade school all the way up to senior citizens. I had to have him tell me these stories so he did. So after some serious head scratching and figuring that for the same price of hiring a one time DJ, I could learn a new hobby, keep my mind sharp and DJ my wife’s once in a life time 50 year old birthday party. This is what brought me to Davey.
After it was all said and done… I now gave this wonder gift to my wife and even get to get paid to DJ every now and then. All from this great guy DAVEY ROCKIT!
Davey was extremely patient, detailed and his course was well structured. He’s given me much more then just the A-​B-​C skills of how to DJ but the confidence to believe I’m not going to go out there and embarrass myself. Wither you’re looking for a hobby to play for family and friends, or looking to try and start a career, Davey is the best teacher to learn from.

Simply amazing, I’ve been to this location twice. So far, I am very impressed. I would highly recommend to anyone who is in the DJ industry.

Man this is my new go to spot!!! Just because of customer service, drove out here from west la and it was worth it! An employee named Lisa is so dope!!! Im a newbie when it comes down to djing but I research different types of dj controllers, she showed me what woulda be more ideal for once i told what i’ll be using it for, unlike guitar center where they just tried to sell me the most expensive djing controller

Really cool spot. Was referred by a friend and needed to rent a djm-​850 mixer for a party last minute. I called just as they were closing and they even waited after hours to still help. The show room was awesome, and they were very helpful with accomodating my request at a great price. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future, and highly recommend them to anyone trying rent or buy equipment.
