They’re out of business! I was really looking forward to trying out this place, but according to the folks at L&L across the way, Bee Bop has been closed for a few months. So sad.

I was still hungry after stuffing my face with Panda Express next door. I strolled in and saw that they had french fries. It was under $ 2! A little extra snack to my meal, sure! Count me in. The fries were nice and crunchy. The guy behind the counter was friendly enough. I mean it is not a 5 star restaurant. Its fried food galore!

Affordable prices, tasty food and board games!!! What’s not to like??? $ 5.00 gets you a bugogi dog, hurricane potato and a drink. The bugogi meat is tasty and the hurricane potato is unique and delicious! Plus, you can play board games while you eat. I

Maybe I went on a bad day, but the food wasn’t good at all. First off, we wanted to get the bacon wrapped hot dog but they ran out of bacon. So then I was gonna settle for spicy chicken dog instead but they informed that the«special» sauce they used for the chicken also ran out and would use siracha sauce instead. Therefore, I just settled for the chili dog, hurricane potato with cheese, along with some bulgogi tacos. The chili dog was nothing special. It seemed like they used store bought chili sauce and added some spice into it. The bulgogi taco was small and the green sauce they added on top was very bland. I had to pour siracha sauce all over my taco just to get some flavor out of it. It was a little over $ 2 for that taco and I felt so jipped. Also, the hurricane potato wasn’t fully cooked and the cheese flavored powder they used is too salty. On top of it all, there was only ONE person working which means service was pretty horrible. We had to wait a long time just to place our order since she was working the grill. Food took a while to come out. I happened to see another girl in the kitchen but she was just standing there doing nothing. Very useless! The tables were sticky, there was trash on the floors, and half of the soda on the soda machine were out of order. Its no wonder they got a «B»

For a place that specializes in Korean fusion, I think my first experience with Bee Bop is HORRIBLE! Bless my friend for buying me lunch while I’m work, but I’m sorry, the bulgogi tacos were disgusting! I took one bite into my first one and I was expecting something else. It literally tasted like barf! Don’t know what else I can say. Fat Kid Approved? My instincts say HELLNO. Maybe next try.

This place is a little gem tucked away by the movie theaters off of Brand blvd… Food was tasty and the service was excellent! I’m coming back for lunch again!

Bee Bop is downstairs from my work so I eat there a lot. I believe I was their first customer when they opened. I was anxiously jumping up and down outside when they first opened their doors. The hot dogs are good. The bulgogi and chicken bop are good. Prices are very reasonable. I wouldn’t recommend the waffle. I’m pretty sure it’s just an eggo. On a side note I thought it was funny they put hot dogs in the tofu soup. Not what I expected.

You can get a bacon wrapped hot dog here for 2 dollars and change. How is it possible that it’s cheaper here than the hot dog lady on the street? Anytime you come out of a club they’re charging 4 dollars for a dirty dog. Without a drink. Cash only and questionable cleanliness. Beebop should be outside every club. I would save money and be just as satisfied! They also serve something called a hurricane potato. Which is basically potato chips on a stick. You can also order a waffle as your side order. And bulgogi anything. LOVEIT. The staff is friendly and they always have their Ipod on so you can be enjoying your Hurricane Potato to Black Eyed Peas«I Got A Feelin.» They also got random board games like Trouble(pop pop!) on a shelf in the corner if you feel like hanging out. Random I think is the best way to describe this place. So if you just gotta have a bulgogi hot dog and a waffle and wash it down with a smoothie then Bee Bop is your place. Maybe you can relive your childhood and play a game of Life!

I’m glad that places like this exist. The thought of mixing korean food, hot dogs, and frozen yogurt may not seem like a Super Strong idea, but at Bee Bop, it kind of works. Aside from sharing a name with an infamous TMNT villain, Bee Bop is an interesting little hot dog joint in Glendale. Their eclectic menu of unique items pulls me in like a Moth Sidekick to a flame. Eating here is usually a nice, convenient experience. It is located across the Galleria in the small little center with a bunch of restaurants and that weird frog fountain. There’s a free(for 90 minutes) parking structure adjacent to the shopping center. The location itself is of a decent size and nicely lit. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how clean this place always is. I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s always been pretty much spotless. It’s like they have The American Maid tidying things up. There’s a library of board games that you can play if, for some reason, you want to sit there and play games. The staff is always super nice and your food typically comes out pretty quickly. So far, Bee Bop is the only place I know of where you can get the mix of food that they serve. The hot dog/korean thing really produces a unique mix of food. My personal favorite is the Bulgogi Hotdot. It’s basically korean bbq beef in a hot dog bun. Add a little rooster hot sauce and«Spoooon!» you’ve got a delicious meal. The Hurricane Potato is basically a spiral cut potato on a stick and its delicious in all three flavors. You can even come here to find a bacon wrapped hot dog. No need to scour the streets of LA seeking dirty dog vendors. The chili that they put on their chili fries and chili dogs deserves special mention. It’s basically your regular chili but it seems to be mixed with chili flakes, rooster hot sauce resulting in a nice level of spice with s flavor that is as ethnic as Batmanuel. They’ve also, recently added actual korean burrittos and rice bowls to their menu, but I’ve not has a chance to try them but they look pretty good. The prices are really fair,(about $ 5 for a meal) the drinks are refillable, and they have the ellusive Lipton Peach Iced tea. The option to substitute frozen yogurt for your drink is a treat. They have a loyalty program/punch card that can net you a free froyo after a number of visits. There’s just so much to like about this place. If you’re looking for an interesting, new unique mix of food or if the idea of korean bbq hot dogs intrigues you, Bee Bop may be the Square-Jawed hero that you need. You should definately pay them a visit. But don’t take my word for it. Dun-Dun Dunt!(Reading Rainbow sound) «Not in the face! Not in the face!»

$ 5.50 for a meal Including the tax and the refillable drink. You can’t get out of Burger King or Gag-in-the-Bag for that price, but you can at Bee Bop, and it’s actually a heck of a good meal. I had what they call a Bul-Gi-Go dog, which is not really a hot dog at all, even though it is served up in a hot dog bun. if I had to describe Bul-Gi-Go in 2 words I would say«Korean Brisket». They pack a bun with Korean spiced beef and top it with lettuce. I also ordered a Hurricane Potato which is a whole potato that they put on a skewer spiral-slice like a ham, and serve sprinkled with cheese and chili. I don’t how people with proper manners eat a Hurricane, but I basically treated like a stalk of homemade potato chips and picked them off 2 or 3 at a time. That combo is $ 5.01, and when you order a entrée and a side together, you get a free drink. I hope they don’t realize that the food stand on their own and they don’t have to do that. This shopping center is only about a block north of the Armeniana at Brand, but with easier parking, and less congestion. I can’t wait to go back.

I read some reviews on Bee Bop and thought, «How fun.» I ordered: 3 bulgogi tacos Hurricane potato It was all MEH. I can make better bulgogi tacos at home and the potato was pretty tasteless and cold. Maybe they should fry it up later instead of frying it up early and allowing it to cool down so much. I would give it a 1.5. I wish it tasted better because I love the concept of this place. Oh well. I kinda figured it be a hit or miss.

I’m not sure what folks are expecting, Bee Bop is a hot dog joint that also serves yogurt. The staff is indeed very friendly, the store is clean and the food is good. The hot dog itself is stout but delivers a nice ‘hot dog’ flavor — this is one dog that doesn’t have to much of a snap when you bite into it. The chili was nice, a good amount of heat and paired nicely with the dog.

Hmm… I’m pretty neutral about this one. We tried the bulgogi tacos and the tofu dog. We meant to go to Baja Fresh to redeem the $ 2 burrito for tax day, but that particular BF closed down. We’ll probably hit up the one in Los Feliz later for dinner instead. Anyway, back to Bee Bop… Likes: It’s cheap? It’s edible? Customer service decent. Dislikes: No party in my mouth. I bet the volcano fries are good, but c’mon…i think that would be good anywhere. Almost anything fried is good, but at least those seem unique.

The dudes working here were cool… was kinda stoked to get a bulgogi taco cuz i love the korean bbq taco truck… but this place came in sub par… im not even an avid Unilocaler, but i had to write about this place to let others know. i was completely unsatisfied with the taste. i honestly wanted my money back. the swirly patoatoe thing was alright, but nothing special. Im looking for anything to get the taste out my mouth right now. never again. sorry owners… but have you tasted your tacos?

I came across this place last night after the Street Feast event at the Americana was as crowded as the Los Feliz Costco on a weekend. What I ordered: A bacon wrapped hotdog, a hurricane potato with korean bbq flavoring(i’ll explain later) and a drink. Verdict: The hotdog itself was good. My only issue with it was that the bacon was only one slice and in the middle of the dog. I wished it went from one side to the other. The hurricane potato is one potato that is cut into a spiral from one end of it to the other. You are given a choice of cheese, something else and Korean bbq flavor. And me being Korean and curious, I chose the Korean bbq flavor. It was interesting and good., to say the least. The best part about the combo meal that I got was the fact that it was only 5.50. I was pleasantly surprised with the price tag! Would I go here again: Yeah, I would come back. The prices are very reasonable and the food is pretty good.

I can’t believe I never tried this place and I’ve been living around the corner for 6 months. Anyway Grace and I tried it out on our way up the street and man it was really good. All good. Food: I ate the Bulgogi bowl/hot dog and Hurricane Potato. Tre Bien. Conclusion: It’s good food for cheap and service was great and friendly.

This place is good! The wife and I shared the chili cheese fries, Bul gogi and Bacon Wrapped hot dogs. They were great. The service is friendly, the décor is inviting, and they even have board games for customers. When the register lady found out that was our first visit, she gave us free cheese for our fries — how nice!

Most of the reviewers below got it wrong. The winning item on this menu isn’t the standard hot dog or the bacon ‘danger’ dog. Rather it’s the badly named Bul-Go-Gi-dog. It’s badly named because frankly it’s not a sausage in any shape or form. Rather it’s a Korean steak in a hot dog roll. It’s actually really tasty with some green relish and hot sauce. Additionally if you make it a combo the bang for the buck here is pretty good. I managed to get the dog, some fries and regular drink for $ 5.50. Now It’s not the type of food you should be having if you were sticking to your new years resolution but in no way was I hungry afterward. Next time I’m going to try the Hurricane Potato, but I’m going to call it a mojo on a stick for now.

On Monday afternoon, I was on my way to Panda to grab some lunch when I noticed a new signage that I’ve never seen before right next to Panda. Bee Bop was displayed on the sign. It apparently replaced the Potato and Steak Company that had closed down for a long time now. I peered inside and noticed that there were literally no one. I was a bit afraid to try it out because there were no customers but I summoned up my courage and went inside. As soon as I stepped foot inside, the cashier greeted and welcomed me inside to order. He was nice, cheery, and helpful. He helped me select on the menu what he thought was good. I got the Bul-go-gi dog, hurricane potato, and a regular drink for $ 5.50. That’s $ 5.50 folks! Damn, that’s cheap. Cheaper than Panda(two entrée plate is $ 6.57 after taxes) by a whole dollar and definitely cheaper than L&L Hawaiian(~$ 7.5), Daphne’s Café(~$ 7 – 8), and that Mediterranean restaurant($ 8+). When I got it and bit into the Bul-go-gi dog, I was like, «Damn!!! This is pretty damn good!!» Although I must admit, there’s nothing special about the ingredients. It’s a fairly basic sandwich. It’s just grilled beef topped with sweet onions and mushrooms on a typical hot dog bun. It’s simple but very tasty! It’s kind of like eating a «cha sui bao»(also known as a pork bun) except it’s all beef with onions on top but when I think about it, it’s more like eating a carne asada burrito in a hot dog bun. And they don’t skimp on the beef. They literally stuff A LOT of beef into that tiny little hot dog bun and then they top it off with all that juicy onion and mushrooms. It was so good that I went back there once I got off work to buy two more Bul-go-gi dogs to eat on my way back home. Yum! The hurricane potato was interesting. It’s made in three flavors: cream, cheese, and chili. I got the cheese and it was fairly decent. It’s a potato carved into a helix form which is wrapped around a skewer and then deep fried. Looks fancy and it’s fun to eat! But… it’s just a potato. It’s like eating ordinary french fries except in a different form. Nevertheless, I’d still buy it again. Why? Simply because it puts fun back into eating fast food! Then they have the standard soda machine. There was Root beer, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Pink Lemonade, Sierra Mist, Fanta Orange, and one other one that I can’t remember. I came back here again on Wednesday and that time I decided to buy the Tofu Dog. It’s basically the same as the Bul-go-gi Dog except it’s made with a thick block of tofu which is then topped off with succulent, juicy onions and mushrooms. I liked this one too. It was just like«Wow!» I never knew tofu could taste good in a bun! No kidding! I definitely recommend this place for something quick, cheap, and yummy!
