The best donut shop I’ve ever been to! The downsides is they run out of some things really quick and you can’t normally walk in and walk out without being fully examined by the old men that sit there waiting on their lotto luck… yuckyuckyuck

Night time Doughnuts are stale and awful. This is super close to my house so I’ve been many times and the doughnuts and employees attitude suck!(like you’re bothering them and he’s doing you a favor).the dude that works there doesn’t wear gloves when prepping food. Family owned business which is great but… I personally will never go again but u can try if you’re feeling lucky on the weekends at least the doughnuts might be fresh and one of the nicer workers there. Good Luck! Btw, I really don’t think that an unsupervised miserable and pissed off worker who hates customers and has bad sanitary habits and hates every second of being there would be a good recipe for food preparation.

For a doughnut shop that boasts being open 24/7, it sure doesn’t have a lot of options for a night run to get tasty treats… that I could easily bake better tasting.

I live very close to this place and yet I’ve never stopped in until today. I was looking for a buttery breakfast treat, but not mentally prepared to battle the Sunday rush at Porto’s so I swung into Jim’s. Upon entry I noticed it had a neighborhood hangout vibe, and it also sells lottery tickets… Okay so it’s a little bizarre. But when a croissant runs you $ 1.65 and is the size of your head you can’t really complain. It was buttery, and delicious, and definitely satisfied my croissant craving. Plus I think it’s open 24 hours so it can satisfy your pastry craving at any time.

I surprised my sister with donuts for breakfast. She really loved her choice(a square traditional donut topped and filled with chocolate glaze and chocolate chips). She said the donut was fluffy and delicious. Not only were there plenty of donuts to choose from at 8 am on a weekday morning but also the staff was very welcoming. The guy behind the counter greeted us with a smile and helped us right away. My only complaint is about the parking. This little plaza has 5 – 6 different shops and only 2 – 3 «reserved» parking spots per joint. What if 20 people show up all for Big Jim’s Donuts? I mean, they’re yummy donuts, so I wouldn’t be surprised. Try them for yourself!

There are quite a lot of donut shops or places to get doughnuts in Glendale. But ill be honest, this is the best of all. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid attending the elementary school across the street. Even till today if I eat a doughnut, their doughnuts are the benchmark that it must beat… So far I haven’t had doughnuts as good anywhere else!!! Keep it up!

I came back. It was after midnight. They had donuts. Not tons of varieties, but at least there were some, probably six different kinds and I bought three. The donuts were good. The donuts were priced reasonably. There were still old men buying cigarettes and lottery tickets, but that’s not a big deal. I’ll try Jim’s again during the daytime and see how things go. Maybe there will be a greater variety of donuts to choose from that will completely knock my socks off.

Stopped in today around 7:00 am, a lot of choices and the racks were full. All of the donuts I picked tasted fresh, nothing worse than a stale donut. Super friendly, threw in a free donut just to be nice. The donuts are more on the light/fluffy side which I love. It’s located right up the street from me so I will definitely be coming back.

This was my first time coming here and I was not disappointed. Donuts tasted so fresh that my girlfriend and I were arguing over who would eat the donut with powder sugar. She gave me the last bite, it must mean she loves me. We also shared a crossiant and a glazed donut. They were soft and heavenly; it was like chewing on a beautiful morning cloud. And they’re open 24⁄7. PS: buy 4 and you get a freebie. Thank you and see you soon!

I only went here once just to see if it’s any good. Let’s just say, I didn’t come back ever again. Try driving down Verdugo Rd. + York Blvd., Donut Star is the spot to hit in this side of the town.

After reading such wonderful reviews, I was a little let down. I may have gotten my hopes up and set the expectations too high. The donuts were not bad at all, but they were very average. I’d skip the red velvet donut. It didn’t seem to have much flavor at all. The plain donut with chocolate icing was very average. The cinnamon roll was wonderful and I would get it again. Overall, it is not a bad place but is not anything to write home about.

This place has the best donuts I’ve experienced. If you go in the morning, you can just taste how fresh they are! Everyone that has helped me there is super nice and welcoming, you get a free donut when you buy a few as well. Every one that I’ve tried there is awesome! If possible bring cash because there is a small fee to use your card, but no big deal.

This place has been here since I was a kid. I haven’t been here since I was kid either until today. Its a cute little hole in the wall place. All the workers are super duper friendly. The prices are cheap, an old fashioned donut is 90 cents! & to top it off they taste great! **if you buy 4 donuts, you get one free. Mix & Match **If you get two donuts and a coffee you get one free donut.

A fresh donut is NOTHING like your average donut. If you’re picky about your donuts and you like em fresh, this is your spot. They have these raisin swirls reminiscent of a hybrid Cinnabon/croissant(amazing), and did I mention they have red velvet cake donuts??? Also really loved the Asian lady helping us, wish I got her name. She’s someone you’d totally hang out with.

It’s 6 am in the city of Glendale — and I needed a damn donut. Ahhh — Big Jim. While the man behind the counter was neither big or named Jim, the donuts were good and the coffee fresh. The case was full of options, I went for a classic chocolate twist, apple fritter and a cake with chocolate and sprinkles. First up the twist — it pulled apart perfectly and and had just the right amount of chocolate. The sprinkle was good too. I stayed out of harms way and let my partner in eater crime enjoy the fritter. The coffee was hot and fresh and half and half area was clean and neat.

So behind on reviews I’m trying to catch up so this will be One of Three Donut Shop reviews I’ll write today, and I must say all three have something in common. With my experience I’m not getting all these 4&5 Star Reviews… So it’s just before 8:00AM on a weekday and MOST of the shelves are empty! WHAT, are you having a Going out of Business Sale? My usual Apple Fritter or Bear Claw forget it, Cinnamon Roll Nope, How about a regular Cinnamon crumble Donut Nope strike three! I see some square thing and ask what it was… Apple Turnover — The topping was a little too sweet, cinnamon on top was nice, donut itself was slightly dry BUT the filling Yeah just look at all that apple and cinnamon filling! look close, real close… what a Joke! 1-Star
