Found this place after leaving a meeting at the Hilton Glendale. A definite Lil twist on the standard mexican menu. I let the waitress pick for me and had their chili verde rice bowl and it was delicious! !! Spicier then your normal chili verde but very tasty. Would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet and is in the neighborhood.

I read the ratings on Unilocal and tried the Chile Relleno with a soft taco. Outstanding. This restaurant seems like its owned by «Gringos» who know what good Mexican food should taste like(there is nothing wrong with that). I usually take my food to go except for a couple of times and the waiting is a good 30 minutes to get your food. That is the only negative thing I have to say. The servings are generous and the food is always delivered nice and hot. ENJOY

Glendale seems to be a happening spot in recent months with new restaurants popping up left and right, which can be great at night, but a bit tiresome getting anywhere during lunch time. If you only have an hour to spare for lunch, I highly recommend this restaurant located on Glenoaks on the corner of Highland. Ample parking on the streets and plenty of seats on the inside. We got there around 11:45am, and we immediately got seated with fresh chips and salsa on our table. Even though this place has great lunch specials($ 7.75) and 1 – 3 combination items($ 9 – 11), this place is really known for the burritos, and specifically, the Lola’s Burritos($ 10.95), wrapped in all chicken and chili strips, topped with sour cream and guacamole. You can tell that they marinated the chicken for a long time because they were soft and tasty. The red sauce around it was tasty as well, a bit tangy and sweet. Not spicy at all. The 1 item lunch special was only $ 7.75. You have a choice of meat(chicken, beef, or pork) and wrap(hard or soft), and it comes with warm rice and beans. For an additional $ 1.25, you have a choice of soup or salad. Food arrived quickly but also because we were the first party there before the rush. The entire place was packed before we left. Plan wisely and you’ll get the fine service you need.

The food is SOGOOD that If you bring it home, stick it in the fridge, and reheat it the next day in the microwave? It’s STILL Fabulous! They’re definitely doing something right, and I love coming here when I’m in town.

Ordered lunch to go service was quick and efficient and portions were large for the price. The chile relleno is extra large and extra cheesy and the flavor is great as well definitely recommend ordering it!

I am absolutely pleased with the high quality of client service at this restaurant! EVERYSINGLE employee works together to ensure efficiency, and everyone gives a sincere smile and welcoming approach. So attentive, so kind and accommodating, just fantastic! The quality and cost value on your meals are also AWESOME! Great Unilocal find; I had to add my confirmation. :-)

Food was terrible, heavy, greasy, cheesy and poor quality meat. Salsa was not authentic, and chips were over fried. Took a while for the food and then a huge let down. Sorry, but they need to change with the times and get some freshness up in there. Only gets one star because of friendly server.

Looking for a great Mexican Restaurant. Look no further. Great &VERY Authentic loved it. Chips warm salsa great. We ate hard-shelled taco’s chicken was juicy but not soggy rice & beans so good. I highly recommend trying. I believe after going to my favorite for years. I have a new Favoriet Mexician restaurant. Oh I can’t wait to try a margarita next time. Thank you, Kristylyn

Casa De Ramos makes a really good, super loaded order of carne asada nachos. My search is over for a place within a short drive from work for a legit plate. I’ve been so disappointed lately with the carne asada nachos I’ve ordered from restaurants I frequent for their tacos & burritos. None of them could get it right. Some hardly had any cheese(wth?), others had cheese that was really bland. It just wasnt working out. The monstrosity that Casa De Ramos makes is topped and layered with lots of tasty cheese, packed with heaps of delicious carne asada, green onion, red pepper powder for some heat and served with guacamole and sour cream on the side. We ordered ours to-go and they packaged it nicely with red salsa containers on the side as well. The plate was tasty and as hungry as I was, i could barely eat a little more than half of it. It’s no joke… It’s def made for 2 people. I cant wait to try other things on the menu but the carne asada nachos really shine and I’m glad I know about it now. Gracias Casa De Ramos…

Pros: — My carnitas burrito was good. — Friendly service Cons: — Food took almost 20 minutes to get to us. We were running out of things to talk about!!! — The chips were a bit too hard. — I had a friend that ordered the Mexican salad and it looked awful!!! Another ordered the chicken fajita and it looked meh. — Definitely on the pricey side of things I might come back just to try their tacos.

Awful. Since when does cheese go on everything? If not for the fact that they are the only Mexican restaurant in a predominately Armenian neighborhood, they would have been shut down years ago. Wake up people. We are in a town of some of the best Mex food. Venture out!

WOW! I have lived in Glendale for over 5 years and LONGED for a great shredded beef hard shell taco that I was convinced would not be found here. Well, thanks to Door Dash, I found this place — where I have ordered from at least 3 times in the last week! The taco is awesome — and what is even more impressive is that when you order take out from Casa de Ramos is that the packaging is on point. The taco is wrapped separately from the rice and beans so you dont end up with a soggy mess – I LOVE it! The menu options are great and the rice is authentic. If it wasnt for that delivery service app, I would have never found Casa de Ramos — and I am sure glad I have, as I have now found my fave Mexican restaurant thru them!

chile relleno, chile relleno, chile relleno, chile relleno… get it. Anyone I’ve shared the opportunity to try the chile relleno here has asked to for it again. They use HUGE chilis and fill it with gooey cheese and use a nice eggy batter and it becomes a masterpiece. They also have meat chile rellenos too and they are stuffed with meat. It looks almost pregnant. They are delicious too but I like my traditional cheese chile relleno. I like asking for cilantro for the salsa to brighten it up a bit. It’s not super spicy but it does have a nice burn. I shared a chile verde bowl because I got my chile relleno a la carte and the server did warn us it would be a lot of food. We ended up having to take it home and it was delicious reheated. I ate it as a dip with some chips. The pork was tender and very flavorful. The staff is super nice and very attentive. I only wish they didn’t close so early.

Every time we come here, we say the same thing«Never again» but months later we forget and end up coming back. Same thing happened today. After sitting at another local mexican restaurant for 20 minutes without any service, we left and came here because it was close and we were really hungry. Got seated right away, received our drinks and placed orders quickly, then got the joy of waiting 40 minutes for our meh food. I ordered the special which was a taco salad, my boyfriend ordered a burrito. The taco salad was different-not bad-and it was hot on arrival. Now its sitting like a cinderblock in my stomach. My boyfriend’s burrito was barely warm but it was given to him on a piping hot plate which indicates it was sitting back there for a while. I’m not sure what we waited for. I love the idea of eating local at a family owned business and the staff is friendly, but the quality of a restaurant should be based on the food and this place doesn’t cut it.

I’m more partial to Southwest cuisine these days but have tried Casa De Ramos twice. I left both times feeling underwhelmed and slightly disappointed. The interior is nothing to speak of and the waitstaff is functional but nothing special and a little slow. The food seems to be very generic and bland. .Food service was also a bit slow … Price wise a little high… i.e. rice and beans are cheap to make! Recently tried the guacamole and it tasted like out of a can… ugh I’m not overly picky but looking for other options at the time.

i AM a fan, thats about right… They are so friendly and so concerned if everything came out ok, i guess i was one of the lucky few here that felt actually wanted in this restaurant, and now in days thats refreshing! Been here only once, but plan on going back VERY soon. the chips and salsa was very fresh and the chips were HOT! and the salsa was spicy, but like oooohhhh I’m gonna have a little more kind of spicy, naughty… i had a wet burrito with carne aside, yummy, not mushy, which is good, and at some places seems so hard to do! the meat, was a-ok, not the best, the temperature of the food was hot, i like that… but the meat it self was a little bland, not bad, but just bland… my friend ordered the enchiladas suizas, which are chicken enchiladas, smothered in green sauce and cheeses, and on their take, they add sliced almonds on top… mmmhhhh? odd? lets try… whaaaaaaaaa?! DELISH! I am no doubt getting that next time i go! parking is in front or the back has a few spots… the place is never too busy and the owners are usually there, and they have MANY regulars, we met a family of them the last time we were there, so means they must be doing something right, right? I AM a fan, don’t get me wrong, just not a HUGE fan… 3 ½ stars would have been more accurate, but because the were so kind and nice i added a ½ star to it… its nice to go to a restaurant and actually feel welcomed and wanted, idk maybe I’m just lonely… lol!!! enjoy, tee hee

Casa De Ramos is quite the hidden gem in the San Fernando Valley. The chef has remained for fifteen years, which is clearly evident in the flavors and consistency of each visit. I would describe their Mexican dishes as 60% authentic and 40% Tex-Mex. The only downside for me is the tacos… They’re overloaded with too many ingredients, causing unnecessary strain for each bite. The Enchiladas Rancheros are my primary selection each visit. I have traversed through some reviews that complain about the wait time for your food. I feel that is can be a bit lengthy BUT definitely worth the wait.
