I’ve only been there a handful of times. Twice I had a smoothie, and it really hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon. Their sandwiches, while not extraordinary, are good, and reasonably priced. Free Wi-Fi is awsome too! However, it looks like they’re closing their doors at like 2:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday. WTF? I like the place a lot, and I’d love to go there more, but I like taking my laptop or a book out to a coffee shop in the afternoon to chill for a while, and this place closes waaaay to early to be an option for me.

This used to be the Bad Ass Coffee Company, but the new ownership made some significant changes. I used to stop by the Bad Ass Coffee Company occasionally and it was good coffee, but nothing stood out that much about it. Under the new ownership and name Joseph’s Café, the coffee is brilliant. The first time I had a cup of coffee under the new ownership, I couldn’t believe how good it was. It’s seriously one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had, and I’m a bit of a snob. I thought it may be a fluke, but I’ve been back plenty of times and the coffee has held up as a treat every time. I do love Kona and Hawaiian coffee in general, because it’s pretty smooth usually, but they dark roast the beans which makes a wonderful blend of bold and smooth with low acidity. This place holds up to LAMILL or Intelligentsia and will save you some money. They don’t have a wide variety, but the coffee they do have is wonderful. I’ve been finding myself frequently stopping in despite having an extensive variety of coffee and an espresso machine at home. Their house blend is a Kona/Hawaiian blend mixed between an Italian and American roast. All you coffee snobs will also love that their iced coffee isn’t just hot brewed coffee pored over ice in a plastic cup. Not only do they have coffee already cooled in the refrigerator, but they actually make ice cubes out of their brewed coffee so you can still have your iced coffee bold and strong. And as the ice melts you just get more delicious cold coffee to drink. No more trade off of flavor for a cold coffee drink. This is the best iced coffee I’ve had and a large comes in at only $ 2.60. Great value, great coffee, friendly staff and a cool little spot if you want to hang out inside or on the patio.
