LA Ignition Interlock Center

This place is rip off machine constantly locked out every month and I paid $ 50 three times to unlock it. The third time someone covering said that there was something wrong with the machine. After I argued with them that there may be a problem with my machine. He told me it was our fault. All lock outs happened and I never drank and would lock out before I even got to blow. They still blamed me for the problem! Don’t go here!!! You WILL REGRET IT. They ARE CROOKS!!! And they lie blatantly. Also was damaged by their equipment because it was installed wrong. On my last lockout Andres was on vacation and had a kid there who was floored by what he saw they had did and said who did this!?! I said that Andres and the other guy and he said it was all wrong and it scratched up the all the plastic on the inside of center console. The next time we went for calibration he said that they didn’t do that and I told him that he sure did he was the one who installed it and told me there was no other way to install it. Then his substitute coverage put it under the drivers seat so there wasn’t and explosion of cords in my car and it would no longer scratch my car up anymore. Andres claimed that there was no way that they did that and that there was no way a cord did that damage. I explained it wasn’t the cord it was the box that he shoved between the seat and the center console that he said could go no where else when he originally installed it but 4 months later someone else from the shop was able to do it right and safer. They have no clue how to run a business or do their job! I wish I could zero stars but can’t post without giving at least 1. Web site won’t let me.

Zero Stars would best fit this place! Save yourself a headache and don’t come here. Worst place ever! Shady ass place. Looked into 3 – 4 different places & decided to go with this place because It was cheaper than the rest of the places I had called. Went in and got the device installed. A young guy installed it, and explained how to use it. First of all I was grossed out because the device they use to blow in doesn’t come with any type of cover. You’re getting a device someone else already put their mouth on! Seeing as how it was installed already I had no choice and left it in. I had to use my shirt to blow into it because no way in hell I was going to put my mouth on it. Once installed it ra good for like two weeks then out of no where the device got locked. Had to pay $ 50 bucks to get it unlocked when it wasn’t even my fault. Thought the device was suppose to lock when you’re drunk not SOBER! I get to the place they unlock it and turn out the kid who showed me how to use it the first time didn’t explain how to use it right, which would explain why it would take me forever to turn on my car and had issues with it. When I got the device unlocked and older gentleman explained how to use it which was complelty different then how I was told the first time around. HE said maybe I «didn’t understand» the first time. Its not rocket science, clearly I understood the first time BUT i was told how to use it wrong!!! Im thinking they do that on purpose so you have to pay those $ 50 bucks. Once I was explained how to use it the second time I never had problems with it again as far as starting my car.
So i was quoted one amount and was told I could either pay there or pay with a car. I figured card would be easier since I lived in LA. When I see the second payment I notice is was about $ 13 bucks more than monthly charge was suppose to be. I call to see why they had charged me more and the kid that answered couldn’t even give me a legit answer. He said it was «Tax» So here I go and calculate the tax and behold the TAX of course isn’t even close to $ 13 bucks. I cal the kid out on it, so he puts me on hold and I get helped by someone else. This person tails me there is a service for paying with a credit card. They neglected to tell me that when I made the payment arrangements. This place is all about taking your money by any means possible. So I went off of course let then know how they should explain things and not just charge people for things. They didn’t refund me for that month so I Paid $ 13 bucks more but after that I would just make my payments at the actual place. Seriously save yourself a HEADACHE and DONT come here!!! Worst f**ken place ever! I would of gathered paid more somewhere else and closer to home to not deal with this place. This place is the definiton of SHADY!

Good service but monthly rate payment is up since first month don’t understand why???

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I made an account on Unilocal ONLY for this HORRIBLE company. TERRIBLE customer service. As I was getting my device installed, another customer was bringing his car in for a malfunction, saying the device wasn’t registering when he blew into it and it was locking him out; they charged him $ 50 for it. I thought it was user error, so I blew it off and had the device installed. Biggest regret, ever. I have had the same issue TWICE and might have to have my car towed to have it looked at and will be charged $ 50 ON TOP of towing fees AND maintenance fees. Andres, the owner, ARGUED with me and told me his device wasn’t malfunctioning which is FALSE. Read other reviews, seems ALL their devices malfunction and they DO NOT take responsibility for INSTALLING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. I asked what to do in a lock out situation and was advised to «have positive thoughts,» wtf is that? COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. If I knew of a place to report them for installing defective devices I would. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE, I will be switching companies soon, which you have to have authorized by the DMVs mandatory action line. Avoid the problems I’m now stuck with.

At first I thought this place was cool because they agree to stay open later to install the device on my car.
But after about a week the machine malfunction led while driving and locked me out. I goto school in San Diego so I drove all the way up to la to get it unlocked. They charged me 50 dollars still. They said other people had the same malfunction and told me the machine cannot malfunction, which sounds really dumb.
Also their machine doesnt even work cuz i drink and blow that thing all the time
Anyways 2 stars for their service.

Ok well where do I start…
First off how do they have a average review of 3 stars, everyone should be putting 1 star and if Unilocal had a option to put lower than that I would have chosen that every time.
Second off I only joined Unilocal to write a review for this place and this place only to help you people that I have never met before lol. In my mind the government is telling this place to be as annoying/​unhelpful/​scummy/​ripoff so us people don’t get another dui. This is why I write this review, I was driving my car, like every other day, working perfectly and what not until I drove to Pomona which is 50 plus miles away from glendale. Where my car will now not start, and I know my car is perfectly fine and the only reason the car isn’t starting is because the IID in it has now broken and will not allow me to start my car. Called in to this guy (Andres) where he is telling me that my car is at fault and not the iid. He tells me that I have to get my car to him so he can look… Now I have to tow my car 50 miles to get him to fix it. He has f**ked me over so many times. I beg of you people not to go to this place!!! EVER!!! You will be doing yourself a favor

Terrible place to come to, since day one the breathalyzer unit that was installed has giving problems and they like to give you bs stories to get money from you. Point being this place is garbage you pay less but end up paying more money. Definitely not recommended to save yourself money and time. Wished they had no star rating. That’s how bad this place is does not deserve not one single star

Worst Place EVER!!!
Sure at first they will get you in which in most cases it takes days to get into an apt. but its really not worth all the problems and headaches with this place. Andreas and all the rest of the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor all the time and «hooking» you up with a deal, and honestly you might think that because you are nervous and well no one really wants to go through this to begin with. They charge you somewhat cheap for installation but where they get you is with calibration, they say its every 3 months $ 55 plus your $ 75+ if you have insurance or not payment. However sometimes, it was less than 3 months and calibration miraculously appeared when I had to take it in for a lock out that I really didn’t think it should have happened to begin with, and mind you most of the time they blame you. I also encountered the device not working and they are never accommodating and almost always blame you. The device was not working and of course they want you to pay it for towing to the shop when its the devices fault and they should come out to fix it. Finally after having had the car not work or the device turns off, etc, they finally replace the unit, but always make you feel like it was you who did something wrong with the unit to begin with. On top of it all, they seriously are just fraudulent people who I will be reporting to the better business bureau immediately. They should be reported to the weights and measures for over charging people left and right. I will never recommend this place or any of there other business they have in the same shopping center. DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE AVAILABLE.

If you ever wanna know how it feels to be ripped off and not be able to do anything about it (unless you have a lot of money or don’t care to drive) then go here. Talk about a guy who dosent know shit about the service his providing, all he wants is money without doing anything. If I were lucky enough to have someone warn me about this place then I would be willing to drive to another place. I tried calling BBB to complain about them (the guy told me his part of BBB) but they didn’t have this place on the files lolllll. Do not go here and you can thank me later.

A friend of mine asked me to accompany her to get the device installed since she was nervous about it. She called on a Saturday and they were able to take her in the same day.
We were in and out in no time and they totally made her feel comfortable.
