Visited LA and a friend told my boyfriend about this place. We came here for breakfast one morning. I had a shrimp omelet which came with rice and beans. It was very good and filling. Came here again a few days later for dinner during karaōke night, which was interesting to watch. I had a chicken enchilada and it was really good. The margaritas were the best I’ve ever tasted. Kudos to the bartender! We will be back when we visit LA again.

Mmmhhh where should I start… Saw the pictures on Unilocal everything looked delicious and i was excited to come eat here!!! Got there first off the place looked filthy! Eewww dust all over the tables and everywhere. Im Mexican I could get past that but the waitress. I Belive her name was Adela NOT a smile NOT a hi NOT a bye NOT a Thank you! Nothing! she didnt crack a smile the whole time wee were there. We waited almost 20 mins to get chips and salsa and place an order. Mind you we were on our hour lunch. One of my coworkers got his food after we all ate. By this time its was 40 mins in to our lunch!!! I had tacos governador they were ok the tostada de camaron not soo great… Again i can get past all this. I think service is imperative to a restaurant and if you ask me NO I will not recommend this Nor will i ever come here again!!! Not because of the food or dust but because of the Nasty service!!!

Service is wonderful. They made sure I had everything I needed. The food was great! I ordered their Campechana Coctel, their Jaiba tostada, and a Modelo Michelada.(Yes, all for me) All their prices are a good reflection of their portions.

Micheladas and Aguachiles are good. Staff no so kind. Based on the name of my receipt the one with worst attitude would be Adela! Asked for extra limes and chips and she rolled her ayes and made a funky face. I’m paying for my food I’m not eating for free I expect good decent service. Hey I even tipped her rude ass. Other than that good food

Service was good. Didn’t have any issues. I ordered the aguachile which was good, the shrimp was very tender, melted in my mouth. The flavor was good but there was no spice whatsoever, I added half the green habanero bottle to my dish lol but it’s alright it was still good. My partner got a shrimp(raw) ceviche tostada and it was really, really good! I’m going to get that for sure next time! All in all it was good! I want to try the micheladas soon! I’ll be back a few more times.

I’ve been here a few times, and every time I’ve come, I get the shrimp & octopus cocktail. Very delicious & they serve it to the rim. My boyfriend gets the campechana. He loves it. They don’t add ketchup, but bring a ketchup bottle to the table so you can add as much, or little, as you want. The michelada’s are very good and are pretty big. Every time, the waitresses have been very friendly. Overall, the food is great & the staff is welcoming. Worth a try! Its definitely one of our go to’s for cocktails!

Sat down, tried their chips and(watery) salsa, finished my drink and left. The salsa was horrible, I could only imagine what the food tastes like? No thanks.

Waitress was very nice. Not the best ambiance around town. The shrimp and fish ceviche is to die for!!! If you want to enjoy nice Mexican food, not drive too far and have a drink or two in a nice quiet place, this could be your spot.

The best Aguachiles in LA. The tacos governador and presidentes are great too. Everything is so good. I love the Micheladas too.

Extensive menu. Good, fresh seafood. I had the shrimp with garlic, very generous portion. My husband had the whole fried tilapia which was $ 9.00. The shrimp cocktail is very good, small portion enough to share as an appetizer. Oh, and the michelladas are huge, your choice of beer!!!

Great family-run place. Thanks to others here(had on prior visits, usually had the ceviche’s and the various shellfish dishes) now added the culichis(available as both shrimp and fish filet versions, a truly cheese-lover’s sauce, only tempered by fresh jalapenos and poblanos, ground to a purée; the presidente and gobernador tacos(think your favorite seafoods, sauteed with bacon and ham, and have another cervesa); the pulpo al mojo de ajo(poached octopus in a garlic sauce — a tender and dreamy combination). And I always wondered what the local markets did with those dried salted plums(saladitos — similar looking to the asian variety, but without the anise and cloves) — those enormous six-buck micheladas. The rimming spices are good enough to want to roll ribeyes in it. Could easily make a meal of any 2 tostadas, as the seafood is piled as high as the diameter and they seem to hand make their tortillas here(both corn and flour varieties). To those concerned about the observed slow service after ordering, I note this place has the service buttons on the table(those dark red big plastic things on top of the napkin dispensers — as often found in Korean and Japanese restaurants). You just press it whenever you actually need anything. Works fine — and didn’t get constantly interrupted. The weekend live musicians are fun and quite personable about the history of SInaloa in between songs. Rice is much fluffier than usually found in most restaurants(noting a lack of added butter and oil — you may add your own), and the beans were of the healthier variety — refried in vegetable oil, and much lighter. Isn’t as boisterous and pumping as the SFV mariscos places in Van Nuys, so it’s more like a seafood coffee shop or diner(with alcohol…). As much as Glendale and Atwater Village are gentrifying and going upscale by the minute, it’s nice to have the small independent restaurants still around(and there are 12 different good ones in a 3 block radius of the crossroads)

Came on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of parking and was empty, so service was fast. Started with a michelada, big in size and well made. We ordered a ceviche tostada and a dozen oysters. They came prepared with shrimp on top. Everything was very very good. I would definitely return.

Awful service, awful food, they only have half of the seafood they advertise in their cocktail. Once the bill came they had charged $ 5 extra for additional salsa that we asked for and for ordering a shrimp tostada salad instead of steak(price difference was not advertised)… Stay away!!! They would get a 0 if it were an option

Unfortunately my experience was not a very good one :(the waitress was nice, But the quality of food and the service was lacking. So a friend and I were in the mood for some good mariscos and We usually go to 7 mares on sunset, but we wanted to change things up. I wanted either camarones a la diabla or costa azul and 7 mares doesnt have that on their menu. Ive Seen this place since I was a kid and was excited to try it! I can look past the fact that there was only 1 waitress on with 8 tables, and that it took 40 minutes to get our food, and that they never brought us part of our order, and that they are a little skimpy with the amount of shrimp in the taco… but when you bite into a shrimp and taste metallic dirt… um no. The Camarones a la diabla could have been okay had the shrimp been fresher. I know the shrimp isn’t caught fresh that day, but c’mon …It was ridiculous. Metallic dirt! I ended up sending it back :/the tacos al gobenador were actually good but it could be the ajo sauce masked the metal dirt taste. If I get mercury poisoning we know where it came from. My friend was disappointed in his tacos and ceviche tostada as well. He also noticed the metallic taste. Grrrrrr We really wanted to like this place! But I’m sad to say we will never be back. Ps. We are Mexican and my family owns a mariscos restaurant in Anaheim, so I know good seafood!

It’s okay. The prices are higher than some other places that I’ve been and not that great quality. The service is nice though. For two shrimp tacos, a tostada and a fish taco, the total came out to at least $ 5 bucks more that I’ve paid for for more food… I think they have a good sense of community though which is nice to see. Its A-OK.
