New Look Skin Center

First time here and had such a great experience. This location is quite big and really clean, nurses make you feel really comfortable!

Just a great spa skin, laser place everyone should just try. Busy Sat but still the staff makes you feel like you are a VIP.

I’ve been coming here for 6 sessions of laser hair removal for my full bikini area and I must say the service here is very great. I don’t get the same nurses but all of them are very friendly and professional. The front lady Nora was a great help with checking me in and out and scheduling my future appointment and making a payment.
I was going to a different place for the underarms but the nurse over there failed to mention NOT to wear deodorant to the sessions so after completing a full 6 sessions at a different place, I noticed a lot of hair still remained. Today, I added an underarm session and the nurse, Gladys, was a great help in making me understand why deodorant shouldn’t be worn.
I also recommended a male friend of mine to do his laser hair removal at this location and i was very pleased to hear he had a great experience. He loved the nurse Stephanie and the prices :)

Although my original rating was 5 stars, much has changed in the past 2 years. I have been getting LASER HAIR REMOVAL regularly for over 2 years now, and I am very disappointed in New Look Skin Center.
Im going to start looking for a new business because I am done putting up with this place. My nurse has been changed 3 times now and I make sure to book my appointment over 4 weeks in advance. I understand if you have to change my nurse once or twice but 3 times in a row is ridiculous. My mom booked her first appointment with Christine, due to my recommendation, and when she got there she was told, without any prior notice, that they cannot put her with the nurse she was scheduled with.
She was also very disappointed in the BOTOX done here and she knows what she’s talking about.
Overall, Im sure Christine the nurse is still great, but I have had so many problems with the staff and I am not a fan of any of the other nurses, that after lots of money and time spent I am switching to someone else.

Very nice and clean facility. Well organized and fast. I get my laser hair removal done here and I love how fast they are. No wait time. Just make an appointment. They are usually booked two weeks in advance. Great prices and I love their monthly specials. Parking lot in the back. Very easy to find. Highly recommended.

I loved my experience with Melina. She was so friendly and did a great job!
The only issue I had was the waiting time for my appointment and the receptionists were not so attentive.
Otherwise I am very happy with their services.

This place is like the McDonald’s of laser hair removal. They deal in large volumes. Technicians are pressured to go as quickly as possible and are hardly precise. Don’t even ask my opinion on the 20-​something Armenian girls who comprise the front desk/​office staff.
Even if you’re a loyal customer who’s dropped thousands of dollars on laser hair removal, customer service is non-​existent. For instance, I was told recently that the general manager would be calling me back regarding an issue I had, and no one ever called!
And, yes — thousands of dollars! Not a typo. I’m pale, dark-​haired — the ideal candidate for LHR — and I’ve probably done 30+ sessions on my legs, and I see no end in sight. So, if you think you’re going to sweep in here, buy a cheap package and never have to shave again, you’re deluding yourself. Long story short, if you can afford to go somewhere better/​nicer, you’d be much better off than coming here.

First off, I really appreciate the same day appointment on Memorial Day. I wasn’t expecting to get a spot.
I also wasn’t expecting such a beautiful place. It’s very modern-​looking and the Glendale location definitely felt like a high end spa.
The staff are amazingly warm. The initial woman who took me down for my facial was great, but I didn’t get her name. Anet, who took me down for my laser hair removal was nice as well.
Lana who performed my microdermabrasion was awesome! She explained the process and was honest in letting me know that it’s an uncomfortable feeling at first. You can tell she likes what she does and she is very personable.
Not to mention their prices are so very reasonable for the services they provide. I suggest you sign up for emails as they always have monthly specials.
I can’t wait to go back.

I love this place. I did my armpits once for $ 20 and literally; literally didn’t need to shave until 6 weeks late w few patches grew back. Just went for my second session today. All the girls are so sweet.
Update. Lasered my lower legs here 2 months ago and was the best decision of my life! Can’t wait to go back and do it again. It’s super painful though I need to get numbing cream next time (I have a low pain tolerance).

It’s been a year since I started coming here. I am happy with my results. I’ve even added on other areas I want done. I have been mainly seeing Hazmik she is wonderful. I am truly happy with my underarm and full bikini results. The only reason I rated 4 stars is because of their appointments policies.

I don’t know where my mind is this week! Been so busy! But I scheduled my appointment using their new online booking system! It’s a great convenience because you can schedule all hours! It’s up ²⁴⁄₇! So I did just that! But I didn’t check the date! I booked it for next week! Thinking that it was for today! These girls were able to accommodate me for today! Yes, the wait is a little longer but they are just too awesome! This is why I keep coming back

First time at New Look and I have to say I loved it!!!
I got laser hair removal for my lip and it was not bad at all! The place is soo nice and the prices you can’t beat! $ 10 for lip and chin, you can’t beat that! The only thing I’d have to say negative about this place was the customer service. The ladies at the desk were extremely nice but the lady actually doing the treatment didn’t say much she literally called my name asked me a question and proceeded with the laser. It was a little weird she didn’t explain anything before and didn’t tell me what to do after.
I will definitely be back but will ask for someone else next time! Thanks New Look!

Very bad customer service I’ve done Botox there before and I’m not allergic to it but this time my eye swelled up and when I contacted them they said it could be allergies so take antihistamine and put ice on it so I did that and nothing changed. Spoke to a RN friend of mine and also googled it she said its because the shot was given in the wrong spot. I haven’t heard from new look skin center since. I will never go back there!
Almost forgot about 3 months ago I went there for laser she burned my face and never did I once complain I had to go through a lot of facials and peels to get rid of the burned spots

This was my first time and I was nervous. My nurse was incredibly nice and informative. she talked with me the entire time about what she was doing, why and what areas would most likely be more receptive than others.
Overall a great experience.

After an extremely long trek to be hair free, I am pleased to say that I was able to actually get this done!
A big thank you to Evana, the manager who helped me resolve an issue I had prior to getting treatment done.
I had the pleasure of being treated by Gladys today. She was sweet and always made sure I was doing okay. We talked the entire time and this made me feel very comfortable. The treatments I had done went very quickly and I’m excited to continue this journey with New Look.

Yessssssss bigger and better… Cant go wrong with this place and its prices.
Staff is really nice and the nurses are wonderful!!!

My thoughts on New Look:
I have been to both locations now the Glendale and Tarzana location. Let me just say I am mixed about New Look. My first experience, machine overheated so what was suppose to take a 60 minute session took an hour and 45. No joke, we had to wait for it to cool down. Second time I go, they accidentally scheduled me in Glendale versus Tarzana so my session was rushed and she missed a bunch of spots. I’m not impressed at this point :/​
I think clearly the Glendale location is much nicer (also newer). I try to book early to avoid the madness later.
*****Tips*****
First off, your nurse makes a huge difference! I have experienced three and everyone has a different technique (some good others not at ALL) would write notes on each one so you don’t end up with certain ones again. No joke, I have a list going.
Second, the phones are off the hook!!! Just go online (why do you want to be on hold for 15 minutes).
Third, look for the deals! (Every month they have different deals going).

I called 3 times in one week to make appointment for injection and I was on hold 12 to 19 min each time and I can’t hold that long. I book online & they called to confirm some things and they put me on hold for 14 min. I’m guessing customer service is 0 and I have not even visited to their facilities. If this is how making appointment is i imagine what other services are. Good luck.

Fabulous! I always feel like a goddess when I come to New Look Skin Center. This location is their newest. The original is in Encino. Such a great facility, the waiting room is huge and comfortable. Very professional technicians who are very knowledgable. I definitely prefer this location as oppose to the Encino location, they are both great but this one is just FAB!
Although this is a practically perfect business, the only weak spot would be the front desk ladies only at this location. While they are saying all the right things they can definitely work on the way their finesse. They have very little sincerity and enthusiasm in their voice, they need a little more perkiness and warmth.
Parking is plentiful in the back and on the street. Street parking is 30 minutes max.

This review is for the non-​surgical nose job and lip fillers with Juvederm by Robin
First time getting anything injected into my face and was uneasy due to lack of photos for the nose fillers found on their website but Robin completely molded my nose into the nose of my dreams!!! I’m so thankful for her skilled expertise and she’s so fun to work with! The nose injections weren’t as bad as I thought felt like a few pitches ! The next day I did have a bit of bruising in the bridge of my nose but nothing a light cover up couldn’t handle. She also injected my lips and didn’t make me look like Kylie Jenner. She make them plump and they look fantastic and natural. The lip injections did hurt but Robin is super quick and its well worth it at the end. I’m officially hooked on fillers !!!
Ps. Everyone speaking ill of the front office needs calm down! I’ve had 6 sessions of Brazilian, 6 of underarms, 3 of upper lip, and this filler appointment (so yeah I’ve been there a lot) and every encounter with the front staff has been a delight!!!
