Pierpont 2.50 Cleaners

When I first moved into the area, this place was called 2.25 Cleaners, before they inevitably changed their name/​price to 2.50 Cleaners. Hopefully, the business expense of replacing a number outside the store is pricey enough that they won’t become «2.75 Cleaners» for a few more years.
Unlike some people, I’ve never really had a problem here. I take all of my dress slacks and sweaters in bulk. Sometimes, they’re insanely wrinkly from sitting in a hamper all summer, but they always come back looking good. The price is cheap, the service is quick, and they’re friendly — even though it seems that only kids are employed here.
Like most dry cleaning places, I’m not entirely sure where they do the cleaning, or just exactly what is it that they do to the garments. But isn’t it like that everywhere?
Realistically, if I had a stain or an issue that required more individualized attention, I would probably take it to different dry cleaner. But if you’re just wanting a basic, no-​frills cleaning, then it’s perfectly fine for your needs.

I’ve been coming here for about three years, not sure why I never got around to reviewing them before. Guess it’s something I just take for granted.
First off, the service is friendly and super-​fast. I doubt I’ve ever spent as long as a full minute in the place. The cleaning has always been effective and I’ve never had any issue with the service, out of hundreds of items that have been in and out of here. I dry clean all my shirts other than t-​shirts so I’m here pretty often.
The price is great. They also have coupons in community fliers with further discounts. Recommended.

The staff is nice (ergo 1 star) but I’m convinced my clothing wasn’t even being dry cleaned! The following is one order (my final of course) #1 they lost (but days later found) a blouse #2 they pinned my silk shirt to its tie which damaged the fabric #3 the tie wasn’t even pressed and is now a twisted mess kind of ruining the top #4 my white linen shorts are now a dingy grayish color and the wrinkles created by wearing them are still visible (they were hardly wet then, no?) #5 The inside button on another pair of shorts was torn off #6 I had to bring back yet another pair of shorts from this SAME order because I gave the «cleaners» bright orange shorts and what I received back looked as if they’d been washed with a new pair of dark jeans. Since «as-​is» they were unwearable, I gave this «cleaners» yet another shot. My shorts, now cleaning rags, were only slightly less dingy. That’s ONE order! A few weeks ago I had to take several items I’d just picked up from this «cleaners» to a local place while on vacation because everything smelled musty! It’s $ 2.50 a piece so what should I expect!!! Well, their end of the bargain. They say they’ll actually clean my clothes for $ 2.50 and I paid. The problem is that it cost me around $ 150 in the clothing that’s now ruined! You get what you pay for” couldn’t truer anywhere else in the Valley! Buyer beware!

Awful service. I had a pair of pants hemmed by their seamstress. When I tried them on at home I noticed one leg was longer than the other. I went back in to get them fixed, only to find out they no longer have a seamstress on staff. I left my number for the owner to contact me with options. No call has been received.

Decided to try this place for the first time a few days ago since it’s close to my house and my normal place is an extra 10 – 15 minutes away. I’m not sure if I brought my stuff in on a bad day but I’ll not be going back. I brought in 3 pairs of pants, one of which had some coffee stains on them. The next morning when I went to dress for work, I noticed that not only were the pair that had a coffee stain on them still dirty, but another pair that had no stains on them were now dirty. These were not small stains but noticeable stains that anyone could’ve seen. So I brought 3 pairs of pants in, one pair dirty. When I picked them up, I now had two dirty pairs. Awesome.
The staff are not rude but they don’t seem to be that eager to assist you. Then again, they seem to be the 16 – 21 year old age group, so that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Dry Cleaners are only awesome if… they don’t lose your belt.
Being a teacher, I do not need dry cleaning. However, my wife, who is in business, does need dry cleaning. A lot of it. Therefore, the past dry cleaners she has been to have always lost an item, especially a belt. So what do we do? We move on to the next one. We have consistently been coming to Pierpont the past 2 years. So have they lost anything? I will give a strong no, and will boldly say they will probably NEVER lose anything. Are you serious, bro? After having a discussion with Tawny, who is the owner. She notified me that they keep an area where items get lost or dropped. As a result, they usually never lose anything. I am not going to say THEY guarantee this. Although I love the service here, they are reliable, and do an excellent job of ensuring all items are back in your possession.
Great service Tawny and Pierpont. Price is even better when you have a coupon, but we will continue to support this business, because they do a great job at what they are supposed to. We will see you again!

I have taken items here on two different occasions and have always received fast and friendly service at a great price. I tried to take a bridesmaid’s dress here to get steamed, but was told they don’t provide that service. The lady recommended two other cleaners in the area that she knew could help me without me even asking! Great customer service, great prices, and items are done on time. I will continue to use Pierpont for my dry cleaning needs.

I have been to so many dry cleaners over the years, and Pierpont is by far the best. They provide great service, (always friendly), and the clothes are always done on time, (and exactly how you ordered), and seriously, how can you beat the price? I would definitely recommend them, they offer the same service as the expensive cleaners, but for less than half the price!

I am a customer who supports a large «collection» of dress clothes and even at the low cost here still run up to $ 70 with just my stuff alone on occassion. This place is professional and does the job right, the only constructive criticism I have is I wish they could figure out the lead time to be just a bit quicker, I am always on a tight schedule so it can be hard for me to wait that long, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else regardless.

I’ve been here a few times for my cosplay (schoolgirl outfits) and there have been a few times where they have messed something up. One time I was missing a button, several clasps have broken, and one time I brought in an attachment piece for around the neck with a GIANT bow on it, and guess what? IT WASN’T THERE! Unfortunately my friend picked it up for me and she didn’t notice, so I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

Easy, efficient, low-​cost — what more could you ask for?
Right around the corner from my house. The employees are always very nice. Never had a problem — items are always on time and back on day promised.

I know, I know… it’s a GREAT deal on dry cleaning. But my issue wasn’t resolved!

I got my coat back– it was neatly pressed and relatively cat-​hair free. But then I realized as the car warmed up that the odor from the cat urine was not gone.
Now, I had specifically told them the reason for bringing in the coat. My expectations are, if you can’t resolve the issue, I don’t pay. I won’t be returning to this location.
