I came here for lunch yesterday for the first time. The restaurant is well kept and the staff are friendly. I ordered from the lunch special.8 pcs spicy tuna, white fish & asparagus tempura, side of rice and small bowl of miso soup. The soup– lacked salt, which is very unusual for miso soup The rice– no brown rice option :( The sushi– the spicy tuna was gummy and nothing to rave about The tempura– an interesting blend of white fish and tempura deep fried. It was ok. I just couldn’t say it was«good» or «yummy». I am not a picky eater and I love sushi, but this spot just didn’t deliver. There wasn’t enough flavor in any of the dishes and I left feeling dissatisfied. Fortunately it wasn’t much money.

I came here with family two nights ago and was not impressed by their lack of service. It took a while to get our food and they charged for edamame. It was not that busy so I was surprised by how long it took to get our rolls. The rolls themselves were good, but smaller in comparison to the ones I usually eat at Momotaro(in Burbank). Overall would not recommend.

Love this place. Been coming for 10 + years and now my kids love it here. The waitress Mia is so great and knows my kids and exactly what they eat.

This is mostly for lunch: price-value is awesome. Is it the best sushi in the world? Probably no. Is it still really decent and you get a soup, a salad and a bunch of delicious rolls for 11, 12 bucks? Hell yeah!

Been eating here since the beginning, the food is good, the staff is friendly, the ambiance can use a little more imagination, and a little more cleaning(doors, floors).

Went in for lunch and was seated quickly. Quality of its sashimi was less than average. The rice in the sushi was hard. I was not very impressed with the décor but the service was very good.

My fav place for sushi. Not crazy expensive with good stuff. The chef always surprises me with Uni Ika dishes not in the menu. Their fish is so fresh and assorted! A must try!!!

This is not Japanese sushi restaurant so they dont know how to make sushi… I went to eat lunch with friend who go there often… People were nice but sushi … terrible … no way… I only could eat California roll. Baked Hamachi kama was good… so I guess if you go there… you eat some other food then maybe ok… but no way sushi no~!!

Very happy and satisfied! This place rescued me from the bad mood panera had me in with their lack of accoutrements to make my sandwich however, I came here and had the sweet angel roll which was great. The service was great too! Waitresses were really nice and so were the sushi chefs. We sat at the bar and the one the chefs helped us make our dinner selections. The chef was also young and handsome. Will definitely be back.

Favorite sushi place in Glendale. The staff treats us well, even when we come in with our kids. The food is delicious and fresh. I’ve had their salads, which are great, but I really enjoy their specialty rolls. The BSC roll, the Sara roll, and the roll with the mustard sauce and onion straws(Blackjack roll I think?) are my go to orders. Whenever my in-laws come in from Portland(a foodie kind of town) they want to come here because they enjoy the food so much. Highly recommend this place.

I like to apologize to Sushi On Brand for taking so long to write a review, since I’ve been eating here for more than 10 years. I always call before I come in to make sure Mr. Kim is here to do his magic. The whole group of workers are super nice, but he completes this place. Every dish is always perfect, never fails. I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like, seriously. Today I had the Toro, Salmon, Sweet Shrimp and the Uni with the quail egg sushi. Toro melts in your mouth right away, nothing to chew. Salmon is fatty and delectable. Sweet Shrimp is good, but the kicker is you get the heads with the sushi order which is fried, amazing. He always lets me know if the Uni is fresh or not and let me tell you, when you see the quail egg on top, it blows me away. I don’t know if anybody else knows about the Creamy Salmon Hand Roll with soy paper, but they should, cause it’s «some super stuff». The rest of the Sushi masters here are good, but Mr. Kim knows what’s up. If you haven’t had his dishes yet, get here after 5:00 pm and he will knock your socks off. Thank you, now I can go to bed happy.

Typical Korean owned sushi place in Glendale, if I wasn’t super hungry on my walk back to work, I would have never stopped in. The hand roll I got was nothing to rave about quality or quantity wise, just something quick I could just slam otw back from break. it was ok at best and a bit pricey to be honest. given the numerous spots similar to this place I would never come back. octopus reigns supreme in my Korean sushi spots given their lunch specials and happy hour is actually not bad. next time, i’ll probably just buy a couple potato balls at portos if the line isn’t so long lol.

I was craving sushi and began looking for a sushi bar in the neighborhood to walk to for lunch. Sushi on Brand was there for me. Albeit the service was a touch slow compared to crowd ratio, the quality of the sushi fish and chicken teriyaki were really good. The staff is nice and very sweet.

My local Sushi place! The service here is absolutely wonderful. The waitresses are very attentive and sweet. The sushi is fresh. I love the crunch roll, which is quite flavorful. The uni, the albacore, the tuna… All are great here! I would definitely recommend this place.

Sushi On Brand is a great low key place to enjoy fresh, quality sushi. The staff is always welcoming, and always consistent when it comes to serving your food in a timely manner. Whenever I’m in the mood for a quick sushi fix, this is always my go-to spot. Oh, and did I mention, it’s quality at a great price!

I frequent this place because of quality, freshness and generosity. I’ve been to «budget» sushi bars and extremely pricey ones. 1st of all, sushi is expensive, Period. If you go to Japanese markets, youll see that just a tray of fish is expensive. If you’re looking for«Lunch specials», piss off! Go elsewhere! Don’t come here to complain and ruin their ratings! This place is on my top 5 list for sushi and I tell ya, not even Iron Chef Morimoto’s restaurant made it on my list. If you’ve been to enough Asian restaurants, you learn that they’re not trying to be rude or rush you. They’re used to doing business in the manner of getting you in and out of there asap. You also learn to be patient because there’s a language barrier. So with that said, why don’t you forget about your wet sneakers, take a deep breath, enunciate when you order, smile, and enjoy your food.

Special Rainbow roll #2! A different take on the regular rainbow roll that I’m used to with a hint of sriracha sauce and baby lobster! Mmmmm =) This place is located next to Panera Bread and across from the famous Porto’s Bakery and Café. Parking is available at meters or the structure for a nominal fee.
