Sushi2U

Vegan options can be a little hard to find in Glendale (compared to other parts of the LA area) so I was tickled to discover Sushi2U, which has an extensive vegan section on its menu. My boyfriend and I live only a couple of blocks away and we’ve ordered for take out several times. We’ve always enjoyed the food and people there have been so nice! So far my favorites have been the «Lady in Red» roll and the «Spicy Rice Crackers». I know that we will order from them again.

I love this place! So I thought I would show them a bit of cyber-​love too.
This is the 3^rd straight Saturday my girlfriend and I have come here for Sushi. Okay so the 1^st night we ate while watching T.V. and both of us were really wanting the episode to end so we could tell the other how much we wished we had ordered more. 2^nd Saturday night we ordered, the owners were really nice and took sooo much care in packing our food. Not something I usually mention in a food review but it was so sweet I had to mention it — very cute. Tonight will be the 3^rd Saturday in a row, I am actually waiting for our order right now and I am super excited. I am trying different things but so far the FIRECRACKER ROLL is one I keep going back to, my girlfriend really likes the VEGAN DYNAMITE ROLL, you know… just in case you were looking for a recommendation. But honestly, I don’t think that there is anything that I have had so far that I would not want to try again. It is all really good. Thank U SUSHI2U!

Ordered delivery & they told us the wait would be about 45 mins or lest than an hour but they ended up coming in 1 hour & 35 mins! Omg we only ordered 3 rolls & we live so close so idk why it took so long. The worst part was that the food wasnt even that good.

Sushi is good quality, not amazing, but good. Especially for Glendale. Just be prepared for a long wait time.

After enjoying sushi from Sushi2U several times, I’m sad to say that I won’t be ordering from this restaurant anymore. There is typically a long wait for delivery, which is fine, because the sushi is delicious. However, on one occasion, we received an avocado roll that was browned, and on another occasion, we were shorted an item. After trying to reach out, our calls were never returned.
Tonight, I placed an order. Delivery time was set to 75 minutes. After 90 minutes, I called and was told our food would arrive in 10 – 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, I called again and was told my order was never received and if I still wanted it, I would have to wait another 30 minutes. At that point, I declined and asked for a refund.
Thus, after much frustration with Sushi2U, I will no longer be ordering from there. There is clearly a disconnect between their ordering system and the way they communicate with their customers. It’s a shame, because again, the sushi is delicious.

I don’t like giving mediocre reviews, but this is going to be one of them. Found these guys on Eat24. Delivery time was fine — 50 minutes, with a prediction of 50 – 70. Delivery woman was lovely. Price was great — after a couple discount codes, you can’t beat 22 bucks for three specialty rolls — and even before the discount, 29 wouldn’t have been bad either. But this isn’t a review of just the service, it’s a review of the food.
I got three rolls: the baked salmon roll, the heart attack, and the anabi. I wanted to love them. The anabi could have been amazing. But the rice was just okay, the raw fish not overly fresh, and I’ve never had so many rolls at once with so little to distinguish them. I guess I should have known what I was going into, seeing as so few of the specialty rolls feature their fish as their main star and mostly consist of krab, avocado, cream cheese, and some sort of spicy fish. I wish the rolls had more variety in terms of ingredients, or used more fish. Or both.
I’m not mad, Sushi2U. Just disappointed. :(

My boyfriend and I’s first time having vegan sushi! I was amazed by all the wonderful options they had, it was difficult to pick. We ended up going with the Lady in Red, the Vegan Dynamite Roll, Super Pirates, and Golden Fingers. Great starting combo because all of them tasted vastly different from one another yet they were all delicious.
We didn’t know it was strictly a pickup or delivery place so we went there to try and dine in, but you can’t so we ended up just sitting at a table anyway waiting for it to be done. Yes, we did end up waiting about 30 mins for the food to be ready, but the sweet older gentleman that made it had the most genuinely happy smile when he took our order and handed us the food, that it melted the food anxiety away. He put a lot of love into it and he was the only one making the rolls, so the wait was definitely understandable and totally worth it!

Food was good but a little over priced for the quantity that you get. Also it takes about a hour and a half for delivery which is a bit much when you’re fairly close by. But again it’s moderately priced and has plenty of veggie options which is always a plus for me! Considering that I am not usually a fan of delivery sushi this definitely exceeds expectations which I will not complain about. However, I think that their portions are very much japanese than they are American which leaves the average person hungry at the end of their meal. Other than that, I have no complants. I ordered the Veggie Tempera, The Baked scallop Hand roll, The Tempura Veggie Roll, and Avocado Roll. None of it was particularly special but all of it good. I would suggest if you’re hungry and lazy and willing to wait then it’s worth a try. Again i haven’t tried it fresh from the bar maybe its a bit better and way more worth while but other wise why not?

My favorite delivery in the history of food delivery. Sweet delivery people and delicious vegan sushi!!! Mmmmm. The only reasons I didn’t give 5 stars is because it’s a little pricey and it takes an hour or more to receive your orders… but then again, it’s worth the wait.

They’ve downsized their rolls or something all of a sudden. We ordered four chef’s special rolls and they were smaller than the average normal roll at any other sushi restaurant in the city. The quality is good but for $ 50 I don’t know what to call this other than a «scam.» I’m relatively positive this is a new development, we’ve ordered from this place before and have been satisfied.

Great family run operation. Veggie style sushi is great! Love they delivery to my neighborhood. Everything we’ve ordered has been great.

I ordered from Unilocal/​EAT24 on a Tuesday at 5:20pm and the food arrived at 6:45pm.
That’s 1 hr 25 min delivery time. I live 8 minutes away.
I called an hour in to inquire WTF and the gentleman who picked up the phone said the food is ready but waiting for the driver. This place strikes me as a delivery/​takeout joint –exclusively. Which begs the question: why don’t you have more f’ing drivers?
The food? Not fresh. Not good. The warm items (anything with tempura) was luke warm and soggy but better tasting than the freezing yellowtail, salmon sushi and philly roll.
Never again, sadly. Was really hoping for good delivery sushi like in Los Feliz, Hollywood and Downtown.
PS. I also asked for extra wasabi. It didn’t happen.

Sushi was delicious, delivery person was friendly, but like another reviewer, there was a strand of hair in my food. Incredibly gross, but I honestly just plucked it out and ate my food. I read the other review right before I ordered so maybe I was more mentally prepared for the possibility.
Lady in red remains my favorite, but lady in green is a very close second.

Ya… I ordered 3 rolls for pick up on a Tuesday night aaaaaand one of the rolls had a HAIR in it. it’s a shame too cause the sushi tasted great. Very mixed feelings. Won’t order from here again.

With that said, there is a wide variety of vegan rolls and enough to keep me and my friend on our feet. the prices are fair, some on the pricier side but tasty nonetheless. We tried the mushroom roll, the veggie lover, the spicy rice cake, the lady in red, and the vegan dynamite roll. Both of our favorites was the mushroom and the lady in red. =) the dynamite roll fell a little short in flavor and was really spicy on top of that. the veggie lover taste like korean kim bap which was refreshing, and the spicy rice cake is very small and oily but is also delicious in its own way (although not worth the $$). We knocked off 1 star for slow service, no parking space, difficult to find, and the higher price tag. Definitely a keeper is sushi is what’s hold you back from becoming full vegan, this stuff hits the spot

So amazing, free delivery to your home. Simple ordering online and great tasting sushi, prices cannot be beat! This will be our to go to sushi spot when we are home and don’t want to go out. Highly recommended.

I won’t ruin their stars or anything. but the guy on the phone just told me delivery time would be 3 hours! Haha Idk about you but either that guy is a bold face liar or I need to open a delivery sushi shop! Just tell me you’re not excepting orders anymore if you don’t want my business…3 hrs my butt :/

I just… adore this little place. It’s a hole in the wall in the truest sense (the owner rents some space from the thai restaurant at the same location). But don’t let that fool you. This is quite simply the best delivery sushi available in Glendale PERIOD. Its all made by one (delightfully smiley and polite) older gentleman, and he seriously knows what he’s doing.
I don’t know what I’d do without this place (I live a couple blocks away). It’s sit-​down restraunt quality sushi at the same place all the (seriously inferior) other delivery places charge.

As I walked into the store, it was bigger than I thought, but also very unassuming as it was simply a large kitchen. There are no indoor seating, so basically your options are takeout or delivery. I ordered online and requested it be ready by 5:30pm. They had my order ready even though I arrived at 5:10pm which was super great but also made me wonder how long it has been sitting around.
I ordered the salmon and tuna sashimi. Salmon was AMAZING! However the tuna tasted like it was in the freezer and thawed out. I also got their spicy tuna roll and it was very tasty! I would go back if I was truly needing my sushi fix, because #1) location is awesome and #2) food was overall very good #3) fast and friendly service.
