We had a really good time because we got there when the event opened. We were able to test every vendor and some more than once since when we walked in there were no people yet in line. We were done eating and able to get drinks in a reasonably short line. We had planned to be there until close but at 7pm, the lines for everything were so long we decided to leave and go somewhere else. Here are the biggest problems: Venue was too small Not enough vendors(food and drinks). There was very little choice for drink for my pregnant wife. No water unless you were VIP. Way oversold. The TASTE website said max capacity was 1100 people including vendors. This was definitely NOT the case. Since we got there early, we did get to experience the many different vendors and some of the beverages, but anyone that got in 6pm or so definitly did not. I hope the organizers learned a lot from the 1st. Otherwise, we will not be returning.

This event was so disorganized, from the Will Call window to the ticket takers to the layout. I also think putting 3000VIP ticket holders in a 5000 square foot section is absurd. Really this makes a VIP feel, well just like the general population and that’s what it really was. Ok so I was one of the first people in the VIP section and was able to sample the seven venders in there but I don’t think it was worth the extra money for the people who spent full price for them, my wife got the ticket on Travel Zoo and they only cost $ 20 per ticket it wasn’t even worth that. I feel sorry for the people that paid full price. The lines for the venders in the general area; they were so long I wasn’t able to sample anything from them. Everyone I spoke to was very unhappy about the whole event. 1.) Disorganized 2.) Too few venders 3.) Over priced 4.) Over booked VIP 5.) Over crowded I think this event was a disservice to the vender and the ticket holders. I can’t remember a single vender I sampled. On a good note the proceeds did go to St. Mary’s food bank and they need all the help they can get… «O»

I would have generously given them two stars because it was their first event, but whoever organized an event of this magnitude should have known better. To start, it was egregiously oversold. I feel bad for anyone who paid full price for their tickets. My friends picked up theirs on sale for half price at (and sold out… over 600 pairs) yet they were still selling tickets at the booth in front. I arrived late, so entering the event was easy, but all I saw were lines everywhere… wrapping around areas, so you had no idea where the lines began. No worries about using all of your drink tickets, because you would never be able to wait in the line even 5 times from the time the event opened to close(there were 8 – 10 drink samples per ticket). They were that long. Many booths ran out early(yes, this after waiting in line for eons) and the workers were just trying to keep up with the masses of people at the event. Overall, it was a mess.
