The staff here is amazing. I brought my husband’s suitcase in to ask about a repair. The salesperson went over all the details and took the bag, informing me that it had to be sent out to another location.
Once I got home, my husband told me he could not wait for the bag to come back because he had a business trip coming up. Tumi sends the repairs down to Georgia and it can take a while to fix and return.
I called the store to ask them to cancel and went in to pick up the bag. The manager gave me the option of a free loaner bag (brand new and beautiful) but decided to take it upon herself to try and repair the zipper. She and another young saleswoman then spent at least 20 minutes working on this bag. Using tweezers and whatever other small tools they could scrounge up from the stock room, they actually fixed it!
I was so impressed by their sincere desire to help me and to not inconvenience my husband that they now have loyal customers for life.

We came in here just trying to get an idea for each other for gifts. We left with several pieces, because of the service and quality of product. The staff was patient with us and went to great lengths to help us understand our choices. They have great product knowledge. They really understand the ins and out of it.
The product definitely costs a good amount, but once you understand all of the advantages it makes sense. If you are ready to invest in good luggage I would stop in here.

Great showroom and products. The only barrier is the high price for the goods. I was a Tumi customer for years and then switched to Victorinox but now I’m thinking of going back because their bags are great. I was looking for a messenger style & size without the flap. They had about 4 beautiful bags with design and functionality that would impress the business traveler or road warrior.

I have wanted a Tumi laptop bag for quite some time and I finally went for it!
Popped in the browse the selection and was greeted by Toni. She was more than helpful in the selection of my bag. Having hesitated on the price, she gently reminded me that if I return in just a few days, they will be offering a Friends & Family 20% discount. Tumi offers a lost bag assistance, which Toni explained in detail. She even went ahead and registered my bag on the spot. I’d be delighted to return next time I’m in need of quality luggage products.

Toni was extremely helpful. She showed me several portfolios and knew their features well. I was amazed at the level of detail and familiarity she had with each item, down to the price, even before checking the tag. She told me she watches videos about each product. Wow, just like the NFL, I said, and she affirmed — this is clearly a really modern way of doing business. Because if her acumen, I placed an item on hold, which she reserved for me. After comparison-​shopping, and having a chat with Concierge about best deals at the Americana, I returned for the item, but had questions whether the portfolio holds regular Staples notepads, not just the Tumi type. And lo and behold, she had a letter-​sized notepad from Staples to show me it did. Hmmm. Did she know I was about to ask to anticipate response? Cool thing about this binder I got is that it has a removable three-​ring/​hole spine/​binder rings; it’s on sale; and, carries a two-​year warranty. Go Toni! Thanks!

Poor return and sales support. Tried to return and exchange an online order. In Chicago they would help you, offer services and incentives in order to get your business. I have purchased four tumi bags and purses for myself and my significant other and this by far was the worst customer service I’ve experienced at any of the stores. Disappointed would be an understatement.

This Tumi store is great! The customer service is top notch and Jan really knows her stuff. Plus, the other salespeople are the best which is why I stick with this store.
Some months ago I bought a small, Tumi backpack in this store, and now needed a carry-​on bag to match, but one with wheels. The problem was that for my upcoming overseas trip, I’ll be checking in two, wheeled suitcases and didn’t want to wheel a regular carry-​on bag along with the two wheeled suitcases although I’ve done it before. But, it’s not easy with three wheeled bags and two arms. LOL!
Jan recommended the Super Leger International wheeled carry-​on suitcase. I ended up getting one that matched my backpack (cranberry-​red nylon fabric) and that wheeled carry-​on suitcase fits perfectly on top of my suitcase by another luggage maker. Tumi designed it so that there are handles both in the horizontal and vertical positions. So, when I turn it in the horizontal position, I can place it on top of my suitcase, grab Tumi’s flexible handle, and off I go! That way I can have a wheeled carry-​on after having checked my two wheeled suitcases. Fabulous!

Love this place. Great customer service.
They also do the monogramming in the store while you wait.
I have made quite a few purchases here: J Adler Luggle and carry-​on, 2 messenger bags and a valet.
They even told me to come back the following weekend for one of my purchases becuase they knew a sale was going to happen. SUPER NICE!

Attended the Art of Packing at Tumi. What a great store. I’ve stopped in a few times before, a red leather briefcase caught my fancy. Admired the beautiful merchandise, so definitely wanted to get some traveling tips, see what might be on sale.
Lovely party, lovely gathering. I didn’t have a drop of champagne, and wished I could buy a whole new luggage set. Extra light weight. Lots of cool features.
Everything looks gorgeous. High quality. Soon as I have a bestseller or win the lottery, so I can afford the luggage AND the trips.
