For a hostess bakery it is a small nice place that offers mmm snoballs. They have cheaper ones if they are near expirations and other ones reg 90 cents that is further from expiration. Sucks though they don’t offer the new stuff hostess comes out with. They also do mix & match deals which is nice.

All the Ho-Hos, Ding Dongs, Suzy-Qs, Twinkies and fruit pies you could ever want. Unless you’re six years old, then it’s almost enough. Regular prices are about half the store price, with a discount rack that goes lower. They have bread, soups, jelly, milk and juices, all at a discount. While they’re never out of Ding Dongs, you might not find a particular bread every time you go in. Their sourdough is actually quite good. The ladies who work there(I’m not being sexist, I’ve never seen a guy work there) are pleasant. Always with a smile, ready to help. Good food cheap would be great. Hostess-brand food cheap is good anyway. I wish Unilocal had half a dollar sign for the price range here!

Do you want a million HoHoss, DingDongs, and Twinkies? Well of course you do, friend. Just look at you, you jolly ol’ tub, you. Do yourself a favor: avoid the supermarket and head here instead. It’s a tiny little weird store that feels kind of like a weird souvenir store in a fat-people museum. But in a great way.

A company called Interstate Brands Coporation owns several«baked goods» brands(including Hostess and Wonder) and they use this small«outlet» as one of several southern california«satellite» thrift shops to unload/sell some of their surplus at cut rate prices. I stumbled upon this place by pure accident a couple of years ago and i’m glad i did… Nice place to get inexpensive bread and«commercially packaged» baked goods. more often than not you can get bread and english muffins for half or a third of the price you’ll pay for similar items at the supermarket. also, they have a great selection of those old-school hostess treats that drove us all into glucose highs as kids… from twinkies to hostess fruit pies to coffee cake(the list goes on)… i know, i know… the stuff is gross and full of preservatives and food coloring and sugar, but sometimes going down memory lane is a fun trip(with the requisite sugar-induced headache and intestinal upset)… ah, the memories… seriously, though… i almost always focus on the bread items when i come here(i think i’ve had enough hostess fruit pies to last a lifetime, or shorten one), and i find myself stopping by a couple of times a month for my english muffins and sandwich bread after i load up on groceries at the nearby Golden Farms Market just down the road. if you live, work or shop in the burbank/glendale area you might want to check the place out. note: minus one star b/c they aren’t always fully stocked and it can be a drag when you expect an item to be on the shelves, and they are out.
