I’m not a huge fan of buffets as I prefer quality over quantity if I had the choice. I’m not a big eater so I usually feel like I overpaid for the buffet and I should have just ordered off the menu. However, this place is an exception for me as I think the quality is good for a buffet and I enjoy the variety of food to choose from. The buffet food here is definitely better than anything else for many miles around — and I’ve tried them all. Like most buffets they rotate what they have day to day which is fine by me. I love the fried chicken wings with spicy salt. And the waiter there cracks me up, he’s a real character. You’ll know him if you meet him.

We used to go all the time but this time the owner has changed they close at 10pm we got there at 9pm and the guy was moping the whole dining area with his mop and bucket from the minute we sat down. This is totally against the health department rules And here is proof see pics The food was good but they over charged us and when we asked about it they took it off but when they brought my change back they had charged me again the original bill amount. Again the food was very good but the bleach smell made it a nasty experience. They also kept coming to the table trying to rush us along so we would hurry and go they actually turned the lights off and on and it was only 10:15pm. So much for good food if you don’t know how to treat the customers you will not last long.

Thomas is funny and a joy. The food? Extremely good… all shrimp is good… orange peel beef and the sweet and sour soup are two of my favorites but everything is good. Kudos home taste!

I can’t stop talking or thinking about this place! I thought it would be a regular buffet that you kinda just settle for when you’re hungry and the place is convenient. However, this place is the real deal! We were greeted with the friendliest man, Thomas. I started loading my plate with the usual: chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken(with red chillies). He also had the chef specially make egg flower soup for us. So delish! It was the best brunch with my mom and me! I can’t wait to come back. It’s very authentic. In fact, the university was bringing exchange students from China to this restaurant and they were so happy(well, they seemed happy… in fact, the more I talk about them, the more I’m admitting that I was eavesdropping on their conversation so I’ll stop now…)

Buffet, $ 8.50, good deal. Food is pretty good, like your basic take out. Not gourmet like Panda Restaurant but wasn’t expecting that. Usual items, sweet and sour, beef and broccoli, egg rolls, egg noodle Soup is hot n sour or egg drop. People are very nice here! Won’t let you take the leftovers to go which is weird cause you are just wasting food but with the tubs in there, I get it! Still, minus one star for not letting you take the food home.

Solid food & very consistent. Good portions. Can’t complain given that Chinese restaurants aren’t very popular in Glendora.

My family and I have been coming here for years. The food is amazing and so is the ambiance, it’s really clean and well decorated! Each dish is so full of flavor, and the hot tea really tops it off. The black bean sauce and lobster sauce dishes are my favorite. And the paper wrapped chicken! Service is excellent, as well. We’ll be back soon, most definitely.

VERYGOOD Chinese food and the waiter Thomas is awesome. The older woman from the kitchen is very nice as well. This place has been good since it started many years ago. To the reviewer«K J» on here, go f#%k yourself, a-hole. I’m glad I won’t be seeing a turd like you hanging around stinking up such a fine establishment. Good riddance.

We have been going here for maybe 1 – 2 years. never an issue and to be honest we didn’t have an issue this time either but… There was an African American family party of 5 and an infant so 6. They were waiting for a bit when the man asked how much longer since it was obvious that they had open tables. The funny waiter said in a minute. He then was going to take them to a booth and pull up a chair. It clearly was too tight for them and the man asked if they could have the big table. The waiter said no that we have to save for a party of 10. The man said you don’t have a party of 10 right now. The waiter said no. They walked out. I don’t was appropriate and borderline possible racial.

My 88 year old mother loves chinese buffet. I endulge her once in a while even though its not my favorite food. This is a better than average chinese lunch buffet. $ 8.99 all you can eat. My mother started with five eggs rolls and continued from there. She loves their egg rolls! There is lots of variety… not everything is fried. The restaurant was very busy. The owners and chef come to your table often to see what you need. They are very friendly and enjoy bringing you more food from the buffet.

My favorite chinese restaurant by far! Been coming here for many years. The food is always fresh and tasty. The waiter is hilarious! Reasonably priced for lunch and dinner. The wor wonton soup is the best! Perfect for cold weather or even a flu remedy.

We needed a quick stop from LAX to Big Bear and found this on Unilocal. Easy to get to from 210, fast and Super Good. The kids were happy, parents were thrilled. I LOVE the string beans. Prices were great. They also had a few tables that can seat 8 or 10 people.

We love this place! All the food is delicious! I live in Manhattan Beach and come to Glendora to visit my parents each Monday and we always order from Home Taste. We order enough so that I can bring the leftovers home to my husband and he is thrilled! Make this place a stop on your search for GREAT chinese food. Your search ends here at Home Kitchen. My favorite dish… chicken egg foo young! YUM

This place gets an extra star because frankly there is limited ethic food in all-white Glendora. The main waiter is funny and always kind. He always tells me jokes while I wait for my to go order of I get there too early. They also deliver. My favorite thing on the menu is the paper wrap chicken. It is little chunks of chicken cooked in a teriyaki sauce while wrapped in foil. I have no idea why it is called paper wrapped instead of foil wrapped. The portion is small for the money(I’m sure it’s more labor intensive to make so not complaining) so I’ll often order something else. I like the orange chicken but it is typical for Chinese restaurants. Sometimes there is a good kick to it. The rich is cheap. The spring rolls are tasty but a little greasy. I love the cow main. I could eat that each and every time. Just the right amount of saucy and good proportions of veggies and meat. I haven’t don’t the buffet in years but remember it being a good value. Parking is never a problem in the lot unless there is some event happing in downtown Glendora(Village Stroll, Wine Walk, etc.)

Awesome service and great food. I showed up today at the end of the buffet hour and instead of being told it was too late for it, I was kindly greeted and encouraged to partake in the buffet. During my meal they ran out of egg rolls, the server noticed and came to my table and asked if I wanted more egg rolls. I said yes and he promptly brought out two freshly made egg rolls to my table. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but that really is good service. He was super attentive, kind and made sure to ask if we needed refills on our drink and soup throughout our meal. I will definitely be coming back again! Thomas is the name of the server who helped me, he is wonderful.
