Very cute store. I’ve only ever bought paint, which is a bit pricey, but in the long run worth the investment. I’ve looked for furniture there, but have always ended up finding my own bargains and painting them, refurbishing the pieces myself. I love that they can help with teaching you how to do that on your own. The owner is a very nice gal with a young family, so it’s very understandable that she’s busy. She has always been very helpful and encouraging of me doing my own projects and has given lots of helpful advice for free. I like the feel of the store, the painting workshops offered, the designed pieces that offer inspiration and examples of the colors of the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and the overall style of the store. I’d like to check out the news location when I’m over in that area. A fun little place downtown.

Came here once, I will never return. We bought the wrong color paint they would not exchange or give a refund. They don’t take returns or store credit. Not helpful at all. Do not come here!!! If they had negative stars I would have rated zero stars.

This is my favorite store in the whole world. Every single person is helpful and kind. They always take the time to explain and painting, sanding or waxing questions I have. The owner is super sweet and I am going to miss this store when I move away. Great prices!!!

Knot To Shabby located in Glendora, a Mayberry sort of town. The shop is 50 miles from my house so it’s a bit of a trek but a pleasant ride and a cute small town feeling. While the outside of the shop is a cheerful turquoise, step inside and things get very dark and moody, not at all what I was expecting. Very difficult to see things without proper lighting. Unfortunately this is one of the very few places to buy my supplies of Annie Sloane Chalk Paint. Owner seemed friendly at first and then suddenly aloof. Was really hoping for a more pleasant atmosphere and experience.

The Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint Class was super fun and informative. I learned several techniques on how to use the product. The owner of the store taught the class. She had lots of expirence with the product line. The store was a beautiful shopping expirence. I had a great time. I will be back for another class.

I have always loved to browse this store but recently decided to try my hand at a painting project. The owner was super helpful answering my questions and not intimidating whatsoever! She walked me through all of the steps, and supplies I would need. She also didn’t try to oversell me on products when there was something else I already owned that would work. I turned a vintage dresser into a TV stand and it turned out fantastic! It is the centerpiece of my living room. I love this store!

Wow! What a great store. I love my Annie Sloan paint which has helped me transform some tired pieces of furniture. People have asked me where I bought the furniture – RH or PB? The price of the paint is well worth it! I also found the service at the store to be super! Great store. Wish they had one in Pasadena!

I stopped in here to buy Annie Sloan chalk paint, and I was totally happy after leaving because the girl working was so friendly and knowledgeable. She gave good advice and even told me about the cool events and painting classes they offer. On top of it all, there was really cute furniture and decorative items for sale. I’ll definitely be back.

Michele, you and your employees have been great with the times we purchased there. The dining room chairs you refinished turned out great in my mother in law’s dining room. It’s always a fun atmosphere in your store. Maybe ill come by more often to hang out. LOL. Thanks again and I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

Initially I really liked this place. Now dealing with the customer service, I would say steer clear! I bought a head board a few weeks ago. It was conveyed to me that different images can be placed on this head board. I thought oh neat a custom piece! The person who emailed me emailed me a week after the purchase telling me she had been busy, understandable, I had been busy too. She emailed me an image(we talked about doing a car image). I decided to ask if maybe a plane was ok to do, she responded that it would be fine. A week later I didn’t hear from her. I emailed her, she said she was busy, apologized, and I said that was fine. She then emailed me two images of planes, and explained to me how much of a challenge it was for her to do different images. If it was such a challenge, she should have told me that in the first place. I was upset that an apology email was sent to me but it wasn’t really apologizing, it was more of placing the blame of her absence of response on me. I called knot too shabby to get my money back to no avail. She wanted to give me store credit. I don’t want store credit. I don’t need anything else for my home. I needed a head board for my other son. That is what I purchased. So now I am hoping the image that I send of my father in laws plane will suffice, since it is too challenging for her to find images of planes. Two weeks later and I am still at square one.

I love this shop! It’s got a ton of cute little knick knacks and several large pieces of furniture. I came specifically for the Annie Sloan paint and couldn’t decide on a color. We asked the girl at the register for a color swatch and she was soo helpful. Because they didn’t have any, she gave us the specific colors we wanted on wooden pins! How cute and unique is that?! Really adorable store you’ll have to visit.

Not only is it creative eye candy with great displays and home décor ideas, Michele Rivard is so approachable in her knowledge of DIY projects and how to create beautiful results with both Chalk Paint and Miss Mustard Seed’s MilkPaint. If you want to learn more in depth, she offers workshops and if you just want to buy an already finished product or piece of furniture she has those too. Thumbs up I say!

I found this store through craigslist. I loved their listed items and would visit their website often for new updates/furniture. I was super excited when i found out that we were going to be in the area. So after«work» we headed to Knot Too Shabby. I walk in. Where to start? furniture? knick nacks? frames? I spotted the owner working on a new piece, near her is a woman just standing there, giving me the stink eye After looking around for a while i decide to pay for the cute rose wall hook. The woman giving me the stink eye IS the cashier! wow. anyways, she doesnt give me eye contact, doesnt even give me the total. Im thinking«maybe she’s a mute?» until a customer walks in and the cashier warmly greets her! I was really looking forward to loving this store, but after the rude customer service or lack there of i will not be wasting my time with this store or their website.

Great little shop in downtown/old town Glendora. Found them thru a Craigslist ad, checked out their blog, and decided their store would be worth a trip out from eastside LA. They have a variety of antiques and refurbished furniture for sale — all at a range of prices($ 10 for knickknacks up to $ 2000+ for large pieces). Generally limited to the shabby chic and provençal styles, but you should definitely pop in for a look. New stuff all the time per the cashier. Close to other shops and restaurants so you could totally make a morning/afternoon of eating/browsing/shopping in the immediate area. Street parking was easy — and free! -, though I didnt find a spot right in front(probably couldve waited just a minute for it). They do have delivery for big things you cant get into your car!
