We got to the restaurant at 6:05 for a 6:00 reservation. We were seated in a matter of a couple of minutes. Our server came over right away. We order immediately. The restaurant only had a few tables that were filled at 6:10. We told the server that we had a concert to attend at 8:00 about 1 mile away. She brought one Caesar salad and bread after 15 minutes. At this point the restaurant was full. I started to notice that other tables were getting their meals before us. The server was very nice. She appologized and said we were next. After an hour and a half were we finally served. The meal was good, but we had to eat so fast that I couldn’t enjoy it. We got to our concert with minutes to spare. The manager came over and also appologized and said because it was a busy night. There are no excuses. The least they could have done was to offer a desert for the table. Not sure if I would ever go back.

Food was good but the service was AWFUL! The lady that sat us was great but the waitress we had was so rude. She sat us down and then proceeded to go talk with another table with people she knew for almost 30 minutes! We had to tell another waiter we saw that we would like to order. Then she FINALLY came over and still proceeded to neglect us for the rest of the time. This place should have a 5 star rating for food but the service is a –3 stars.

Solid Italian fare well priced. 5 minute drive to the Keswick. Gnocchi fra diavlo with added shrimp and mushrooms for me and gnocchi with pesto and added shrimp for my lady. Both very good. Our friends had chicken parmesan; massive portions. Also well received. We all had arugala salads with pears, toasted walnuts and blue cheese. Really nice. Menu looked good and tables that had pizza were looking like maybe we should have tried one. Friendly warm wait staff.

Had dinner before a show at the Keswick. The food was very good as was the service. So we had plenty of time to finish our meal and get to the show on time.

I’ve eaten here three times with only having entrees once. The other 2 times were for pizza only which I thought– you can’t go wrong with pizza… right? I had the smoked traditional pizza– tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella and basil pesto. The smoked mozz is just waaay too smoked(I was expecting the hint of smoked flavor) and isn’t complimented by their sauce. The sauce would be great on pasta but on the pizza it’s just too thick and chunky. I could barely get two slices down and no one else in my family liked it. The margharita is OK but it’s more sauce than cheese which is OK with me but kids want cheese-not sauce. My first visit over a year ago was a sit down dinner with entrees which were okay but nothing special. I wish I could say that it was better and root for the small restaurant but I can’t. I went back after my family really didn’t care for it hoping to prove them wrong but this just didn’t do it for us. There is another Italian restaurant nearby in Elkins Park called Sicilian Trattoria which is clearly better and my choice for Italian in the area.

My wife and I ate at Trevi last night. It is truly a great Italian restaurant. The pizza was delicious, the pasta was delicious and the waitress was very attentive. We have eaten here three times previous and have never had a bad meal or experience. I highly recommend.

We were here last Saturday as Joe Jackson was in town. I mention that as it was an almost sold out concert. If you have been to Glenside, you realize that there are not enough restaurants to support a sold out Keswick Theatre. That said, we were able to get reservation at 6:30. We got appetizers — calamari and stuffed mushrooms were good. While the waitress was very nice, it did take over an hour for entrees to arrive. That was just a bit too long. Food was good, not great. I would probably return if seeing a show at the Keswick. But I would not make a special trip to eat here. It’s BYOB.

The service here is consistently terrible. Waiters spend their time chatting with each other or on the phones, rather than attending to customers. The waiters also have no problem lying to customers, for example telling us that«the bread is in the oven,» and later bringing out a basket of stone cold bread. The food otherwise is typically passable, but just not worth it for the long wait and apathetic servers.

Visited Trevi for dinner before a show at the Keswick. Restaurant is informal with a full menu and its BYOB. Waitress was wonderful. Friendly and attentive. Enjoyed an arugula salad with pears and walnuts and a Tomato Pie with mushrooms and peppers. Salad was large enough for the two of us and very fresh. Loved the pizza. Thin crust perfectly cooked and the sauce was very tasty. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

Dinner started out okay, appetizers were really good and the bread brought to the table was soft and chewy on the inside and had a nice crust on the outside. The following meals were ordered: gnocchi, crab cakes, chicken marsala, and chicken parmigiana. Two of the gnocchi dishes were entered by the waitress wrong and subsequently brought out wrong therefore had to be re done. The replacement dishes(pancetta and peas) were disappointing — described as rinsed off potato balls with no taste. The third gnocchi dish was in the rosa sauce that was described as lacking in flavor. All 3 dishes were small portions. The crab cakes did not live up to expectation, however the fried gnocchi that accompanied the dish was better than the other gnocchi served. The chicken parm was really good and served with 2 large breasts on a bed of spaghetti in rosa sauce. The chicken was juicy, nicely season and perfectly fried. And lastly, the chicken marsala was good; the chicken was tender and the sauce was tasty and had good flavor. Our waitress was just okay. The hosts were really good though, two of the folks had wonky chairs and they helped to change them out so that they were more comfortable. We probably won’t be going back.

I really love this place. It’s locally owned and medium sized. The ambience is warm, inviting, and«nice casual». Families with kids as well as people celebrating birthday dinners are common. A few years ago I didn’t want to like this place because I liked rizzos so much but I’m a convert now. Their marinara sauce is exactly how I like it – chunky, savory, tangy and always a lot of it on the pasta. Calamari is delicious too. Trevi is my go-to Italian place now. Byob is a plus!

Can’t wait to go back! Cute family operated BYOB with friendly staff, fair prices, fresh ingredients, good portions and great food. 4 of us dined and all very much enjoyed. Looking forward to trying again the Pizzas looked amazing.

I’m going back. Met«the girls» here, and none of us had been. I’m pretty picky, so. .. The South Philly pork sandwich was delish, as were the sausage stuffed mushroom caps. One of my dining companions was a little underwhelmed by the Parmesan Encrusted Tilapia. But overall was good enough to warrant a return visit.

I came to TreVi for dinner with a couple friends and have a lovely experience! We were seated right away, and our drinks and bread came shortly after! And our waitress was so quick and friendly and accommodating throughout the entire night. As far as food goes, it was all very tasty… but a little underwhelming. The pizzas were really good but just kind of plain, not a lot of pizzazz to them. We got a bunch of different food to share as well like the brussel sprouts, meatballs and chicken parm… all delish! The price is also sooo reasonable. I left feeling SO full and SO satisfied and spent 20 bucks! The atmosphere is also nice, we had a nice corner table and it wasn’t too noisy. Very cute neighborhood spot that I will definitely return to!

We came here for dinner last night and it was great. We had reservations for 8.30 because last time we tried to go, there was a 40 min wait. This time there was no waiting; the restaurant only had a few tables, so we were seated immediately. Our server was really nice. She grabbed us drinks and bread pretty quick. We ordered calamari for an appetizer which was amazing. It was a decent size for the two of is to share. I had a 12 inch margarita pizza which was pretty good as well. The tomatoes are the same consistency as ones you’d find on a tomato pie, plus some argula and basil… yum! I couldn’t eat it all so I took it home!

I found TreVi through my favorite, a groupon offer. Sadly, the wait staff nearly ruined mine and my companions evening. Before I purchased the groupon, I checked the menu and Unilocal. Both of which looked promising. Most of the Unilocal reviews were positive, stating that this was a chef owed(the best kind) restaurant. I also love the whole byob idea. We were seated right away. Nice and good so far but in what restaurant, especially and Italian one, are you not offered bread almost immediately? After about 10 minutes when we asked our server for some bread and a couple of glasses of water, she quickly got an attitude. Two of my companions ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Not only did I find it to be over priced but with a menu as eclectic as this was, why would you? My Rigatoni and Crab really was quite good. My sister and I had brought a bottle of wine and our companions, beer. Our server continued to have a strange attitude with us, ignoring our table and allowing empty bottles to accumulate. Good food but fairly overpriced and just bad service.

Good friends and former Glensiders were kind enough to introduce us to TreVi, and it has become our regular stop before shows at the Keswick. Before the introduction, we had written off Glenside as a culinary wasteland because we had had terrible experiences at two other eateries in this tiny hamlet. TreVi is a family-owned and –run business. The husband manages the kitchen while the wife handles the front of the house. During our most recent visit, the owners’ gorgeous daughter waited on our table of eight. She proudly shared that she was responsible for selecting the lighting fixtures 3 ½ years ago when her family took over the location. On our most recent visit(as well as all prior visits), the service was impeccable. We have tried numerous menu items during our many visits, and our favorites include the salads, calamari, pizza and pasta. Some of which made return appearances during our most recent visit. The table ordered calamari, and it was silent while those delicious rings of lightly battered goodness were dipped in a thick, herbaceous house-made marinara. My entrée was the Italian antipasto salad, and it was perfectly(very lightly) dressed with rosettes of prosciutto decoratively placed atop a bed of very fresh micro-greens. Mr. M ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which came with three golf-ball size meatballs. The pasta had just the right amount of fragrant sauce. One of our table-mates had the chicken parm, which he proclaimed excellent. The portion was so generous that he enjoyed perhaps 1⁄3 of it at dinner. The rest went home with him for lunch.

I put this first review on FB after one visit. This is why, I felt bad that someone gave them such a bad review as their experience did not even come close to matching mine. I almost did not believe they were talking about the same place and that is not good for any business. By the time I posted this review to Unilocal I have had diner here twice and had nothing but a great experience both times. It is the sum of the experiences that matters. Consistency is the true rubric on which all things should be graded, and these good people are two for two with me.
They seem genuine, hardworking and have a real culinary gift. So the following is a slightly edited repost from FB, after that repost I have included my recount of my second visit: From FB: «All I can say is „Wow“. Great food, the Penne Seafood Bolognese was perfect. I heard from a friend that they make Mozzarella on the premises so I really wanted to check this place out, fantastic job, you can tell they put a lot of love into their work. My daughter tried the 4 cheese pizza(Quattro Formaggi), it was spot on. The service was up to par, I had no problem here, they were attentive and timely with everything. When I saw Ed’s review I was a little leery, when I read Debi’s comments I thought she had a good experience because her pic would indicate that she was a young girl.(I’m just saying.) Look, I’m a 40 something year old guy, I had no issues with service. I can’t remember my server’s name, but everything was truly enjoyable. No one is perfect, everyone has bad days, I’ll go back again, and if the experience is bad, I’ll adjust the review, but truly this is a great place to eat and they have my full endorsement, for what that is worth.» So I went back again. This time I stuck with the Gourmet Pizza, I really like pizza, good pizza and this pizza exceeded my expectations. It was almost accidental that my daughter originally picked this on my last visit, so I ordered a Quattro myself. The wife was feeling adventurous and ordered the Red, White and Green. Done and done, both pizzas came out looking great, and more importantly tasting great. We even brought some home as my daughter would not have let it go, had I not. This is upscale, consistently good food, and again the service was spot on. So 2 for 2, definitely try this place.
