Pappi’s Pizza

We just ordered a cheese pizza. It was pretty good. The crust was slightly dry but good anyway.

Good pizza for the area (Glenview). I am a huge pizza critic so my ratings must be taken in that manner. Pappi’s is your «let’s get a slice» pizza. Thin crust is very thin, tastes like a slice, and is generally average pizza. The crust is crunchy even in the middle. There is nothing special about this pizza, but for the area, it beats many competitors.
There wasn’t too much sauce on the pizza making it dry, especially with the crunchy crust. The cheese is a good grade, which is huge!
Owners are very nice and the customer service is excellent.
Not sure if I would go back, but o lay because I’m very picky with my pizza and only eat the best. I eat pizza 3 – 5 days per week and have tried over 200 pizza places in the Chicago area and now northern suburbs.

Honestly I tried a slice of the salad pizza and fell in love right at the first bite! Eating pizza never felt so good, it was very refreshing and did not keep me feeling nasty after.

Love Pappi’s Pizza! Their regular pizza is good, but we come here for the Pizzalad. It’s the best ever! Can serve as main dish, and even a great appetizer to bring to a friend’s house too! We, and everyone else I know, absolutely love it. Even my kiddos!

This place is literally across the corner from us. If we want pizza, this is the only place we order from. They use fresh ingredients and never skim on add ons like other places can be. Pizza is never greasy or too tomatoish. Always made perfectly and prices are reasonable.

I have recently found this place because people at work order from here pretty frequently. I think the pizzalad is seriously amazing. The crust is outstanding the toppings are so finely chopped they fit so perfectly and the sauce just brings it all together. It’s not heavy at all, just very delicious and refreshing. Also you eat it cold. We got the original (no meat) which I recommend there is a meat one with bacon that people seemed to like but, stated the original was much much better.
The hot pizza was ok. Not horrible but I’ve had better. The crust and sauce are both very good but again something is just off. It’s really good, just not great in comparison to the pizzalad.
Also the owners are the sweetest people on the face of the earth. This is such a wonderful place, try it out.

I’ve been living in Glenview for 27 years! How have I not had the Pizzalad before??? It’s amazing! I was very skeptical about it so I got a small vegetarian pizza too but the vegetarian box didn’t even get opened! The pizzalas ia highly recommended to everyone, don’t be scared, you won’t be disappointed.

Had a pizzaalad for the first time and absolutely loved it!!! Phone service was great! Will definitely be back for more.

My family has been getting Pappis since we moved here about 20 years ago and have always been satisfied with our pizza. We are happy to support a family run company.

Great pizza, great people, very friendly and delicious foods. I love their thin crust pizza it is just awesome and there Italian beef is good as well. Highly recommend this place!

Not the best pizza. In fact, I have had better frozen pizza many times. Its the sauce… not good. The crust was definitely better than the sauce.
That’s not the only issue however. When my pizza was delivered, the delivery guy was very inappropriate with me and tried to get up close and personal. Never again! A horrible experience!

There are a lot of pizza joints around Glenview, and Pappi’s is the best thin crust you’re gonna find! In comparison, nobody does it as well as Pappi’s, not Viccino’s, not Pizza Bakery, not Caruso’s, no one. The staff is the friendliest bunch of people I have ever encountered at any restaurant, let alone a pizza place. Pappi’s Pizza has my vote, over, and over, and over again. Do yourself a favor and get a large thin crust ASAP!

I love Pappi’s! My daughter and I always enjoy Mike and Lucy’s thin crust pizza and the pizzalad. We’ve eaten from here for the past 7 years and truly love it! The homemade chicken soup is the best!

I really enjoy the Pizzalad here (Pizza + salad, for those who don’t know) and would recommend you try the two flavors. The Southwestern is spicy but is really wonderful. They pretty much have an authentic Italian (Italy-​based) crust where it’s more crispy flatbread than the dough that we’re used to. It complements the salad on top.
The lady in front also remembers when you come in a second or third time already. They’re very friendly.

Had the pizzalad, very different because its served cold but was awesome!!! Had a pan pizza as well just in case I didn’t like the pizzalad was very good as well! Very thick crust and buttery. All in all great pizza!

I live right down the street from this place, and it is the only pizza place I will order from at this point. Their whole menu is pretty good, but the pizza is fantastic. I usually get the thin crust because my wife is a diabetic, and it is always good. However, the best is their stuffed pizza. I don’t know what it is, but their ratio of sauce to cheese to stuffing to crust, is just perfect. I’d put it up there against Lou’s or Gino’s. They also have this very interesting creation called a Pizzalad, which as it sounds, is a salad made on a pizza crust. Everyone I have ever introduced to this has loved it.
To go along with phenomenal food, the owners Mike and Lucy are two of the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people you’d ever want to meet. They care about their customers and make sure you are taken care of right.

I stopped in a week before a birthday party to check this place out. The prices are super cheap and I wanted to see what I’d be getting. I ordered a slice and talked with the owner, Mike. He was nice and gave me some coupons and told me he would make a personal sized pizza for the birthday girl at no cost. Since the pizza really was good I went ahead and called in the order a day prior to the event. I spoke with a woman (who I later found out to be Mike’s wife) and didn’t mention the personal pizza. I thought about calling back but figured we likely had more than enough food and I didn’t like the idea reminding people to give me free stuff.
We’re at the party and Mike makes his delivery on time WITH a personal pizza for the birthday girl. He actually remembered this detail. It was heart shaped with little heart shaped pepperonis. My daughter loved it. I was impressed with the food and the attention to detail as were my guests. Everyone commented that they loved the pizza.
So, if you have a lot of people to feed and want some cheap and yummy pizza look no further!

This unassuming pizza place (delivery or carry out only) serves other American fare like sandwiches and salads, but I can’t speak to those b/​c I’ve never tried them. Having lived in Glenview for twentysome years, I had never thought to stop in even though I drove by it a few million times, but the bf said he’s been eating Pappi’s for nearly 12 years. He’s not a picky eater, but he does know good food :)
We placed a pick-​up order from here b/​c my bf said it’s his favorite thin crust bacon and onion pizza, and I will never say no to pizza or bacon. I like everything spicy so we added jalapenos also. I didn’t go in to pick it up so I don’t know anything abt the caliber of service or friendliness.
25 minutes later, the smell hit my nose when it was brought into the car and I was wondering if it’d be acceptable to tell a police officer that I was speeding b/​c I just HAD to get home so I could eat pizza while it was piping hot. I bet if I let him smell the pizza and have a couple squares of the pie, he’d let me off the hook. (Side note: I love cold pizza too, but don’t know if Pappi’s tastes just as good cold b/​c the four of us polished off the 18″ pizza before it ever had a chance to get cold).
Instead, we made what seemed like a painstakingly long drive back (read: maybe 7 minutes) at a reasonable speed. I guess I do have some self-​restraint. Still, having never tried the pizza, I told myself that all pizzas smell great, but then I popped a crispy corner of the pizza in my mouth with all the diced ingredients, perfect amt of sauce, which is really good by the way, and slightly browned cheese. Mmm… I’m smiling now thinking abt it! The second square I managed to remember to sprinkle w/​red chili flakes and it was even better.
Try this place for their thin crust if you’re in the north suburbs.

FYI, it’s not like thin crust from Pizano’s or D’agostino’s. Theirs is thicker from what I can recollect. The aforementioned two have less sauce and chunkier canned tomatoes I think, but the consistency of Pappi’s sauce seems more like tomato sauce and paste. But I might be wrong. Definitely not any chain delivery. it’s not razor thin, but thin enough, and not too doughy nor too flimsy, but then again we only had 3 toppings.

This place has a Pazzalad, they call it. It is a really good chilled pizza with vegetables and a great sauce. Healthy alternative to real pizza, and tastes delicious. Great to bring to parteis.
