Service was terrible. Waited for quite some time before they even brought us water or took our order. Forgot one of the two drinks we ordered. Forgot our appetizer before serving the entrée. Ordered the New York strip steak, which was delicious, but hardly worth the hassle. Its a hotel restaurant, so if you’re staying at the Glenview Wyndham, seek nourishment elsewhere.

The pasta we tried was horrible. My kids cried when they ate that. Most of the menu items are expensive even with Groupon. Will not recommand this restaurant.

So they aren’t open until 5pm. Food was suprisingly good. Had the Friday special all you can eat fish. Came with hush puppies, cole slaw, fries and bread. Fish was cod, lightly breaded and fried perfectly. Would visit again. Wish they were open for lunch. I don’t know if they are fine dining or more of a bar & grill.

Service was horrible not only slow but I had an entire steak dinner dropped in my lap by the server. I’ve been to many restaurants and never have I had a waitress drop food on me this was a first. She scurried away quickly after dropping the food not trying to assist on the clean up and kept repeating I’ll get you a new one I’ll get you a new one. No offer to comp my meal with my wife just a reminder that she would bring me a new meal. The food my wife was having was sub par at best. Do not stop by here for food and if your a guest in the hotel I would just go out to the many other resturants they have nearby.

We came by here with a Groupon. The place is located adjacent to the Wyndham Hotel lobby. There’s no signage, so we were not sure that was it, but it was. They have a mix of white table clothed tables in the lobby(not used on the nite of our visit), and a small bar /pub set up behind a glass wall. Wife had their chicken florentine($ 17 and it was ok to her) and I had their 8 oz dublin burger($ 12). I really enjoyed my burger — a combination burger patty and corned beef with thousand island dressing — a combo I had never tried before. The fries were quite good also. The biggest drawback was that the service was atrociously slow. I’m not sure if it was the kitchen(they may do the hotel room servings for all I know) or what. Our harried server also disappeared for a couple of long stretches. It wasn’t that he had a bad attitude(he was actually an amicable sort) or was incompetent, but they just seemed shorthanded at the time. The whole setup seemed a bit odd to me. Overall, I can’t recommend the place, but I must say they do make a nice dublin burger!

Another great meal and experience at Porter’s. If you can snag cheap gift certificates at for this place or use your CHASE United Explorer plus miles to get some, DOSO. The food even at the bar for lunch is super solid and cheap for the quality and portion. My filet was great, and my wife’s salmon was like 8−10oz and came on a cedar plank that was still ashing shot. Michael, the bar guy is very polite and accomodating. Great place for a HOTEL. Id advise guests to eat here.
