The pad see eiw w/tofu and #4 spice level is deeh-rish-us! I have been to numerous Thai restaurants but let me tell you this place is authetnic. Unlike other Thai restaurants where the tofu is sort of dry and anemic looking there tofu is firm and crispy. The seasoning and spice level of the pad see eiw is on pizz-oint. Let me remind you that they have a range of spice levels but I would recommend getting that extra kick of heat. It’s not a BOOM in your face heat its like the tush warmer in your car kind of heat. I have only gone their during lunch special where you receive a soup and a cucumber salad. Both are well above the normal fair you receive at other Thai restaurants. Atmosphere is clean and the staff is nice and polite. I would send anyone who has an affinity towards thai food here. I have only tried the pad see eiw 2 times and both visits have been marvelous. I plan on trying some new dishes when I return.

Although Thai inbox had good food, their service was preposterous. I asked them for a bubble tea latte(milk tea), and they immediately said they didn’t have it. I then asked if they had mango smoothies and before I could finish my sentence they replied with a no. On a different occasion when I dined here, it seemed as if preferential treatment was given to the Caucasian customers. On a different note, their food was okay. The Pad Thai was delicious, but besides that the other dishes were too salty. Especially the baby egg rolls. I will not be dining here again.

Really great Thai food served here. I stopped in for lunch and had the basil fried rice with squid. After waiting some time for my food, paying for it, and watching the patrons sitting at the table next to me who arrived about 5 minutes after I arrived were served there food first, I asked a server if there was a problem with my food. They forgot to serve me my food but they addressed the problem immediately, and efficiently. This is the first time something like this happened, but the staff was very friendly and addressed the issue immediately. The kindness of the staff and the excellent tasting food definitely made up for the mistake. I’ll definitely be eating here again.

I have been going to the Skokie location forever! I love their pad thai, pad see ew, lad nar, and tom yum soup. Their food is pretty authentic and delicious. When I was away at school, I craved for their tom yum soup. I love both locations: Skokie and Glenview. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and simple. I found the waitress and waiter to be attentive. I am so happy that I can sit in and enjoy my meal with my friends.

I recommend the Pad Thai! Great flavors on this dish– only down side is that it came out with the wrong noodles, but the taste was good enough to save the mistake. We also had the pad kee mao which was more sweet than it was spicy so that was a tad bit disappointing. Over all, I’d come back for the pad thai.

The food is always tasty and we love it. Food is consistently well made and authentic. That’s why I had to give it 4 stars. Not 5 stars because of the SERVICE! Both times we have eaten in, we had the unfortunate luck to have this same waitress twice. Because of her, we will only be getting carry out from this place. The waitress is Thai herself with dyed blonde hair. Very rude. She wasn’t happy to help us with questions regarding the menu, never smiled, acted like we were a nuisance. Both times she has been like that with us. We and another couple were the ONLY people there yesterday. So she had no excuse to be rude with us. Another Thai man came in and sat on a table next to us, and she was all smiles with him, but none of us. I called and left a message with the manager to call me back. If she cares a lot about this restaurant, I hope she talks some sense in this waitress. I am sad I can’t eat here anymore, but I’m not about to let my meal be ruined by a waitress who has no people skills!

Service was horrible for a Tuesday afternoon. We were the only two in the place. The Thai Beef should renamed Thai Onions. Four small pieces of beef. I want here based on reviews. Must have changed owners. Not that good and the prices are not cheap. Cross this place off your list.

Food was ok but the service Sucked so i wont be returning. How do pol not know that service is key? You want tip, dont you? Spring rolls are overpriced. For 8 little bite size pieces it is $ 6. F that.

Very disappointed. I ordered the chive dumpling, which is described as «delicate» and«lightly pan-fried.» It was very oily, dense, and heavy. Without the dipping sauce, it was basically flavorless. I ordered the cashew dish with tofu for an entrée. I didn’t get rice with my pickup order. It was also very bland. Neither of these dishes tasted like Thai food to me. Very bland, poor service.

Fantastic Thai food. We had the sweet chili chicken, but with tofu instead of chicken. The waitress recommended it. Spicy, not too sweet and really flavorful. When another diner overheard us thanking the waitress for the fantastic recommendation, he asked us what we ordered. After hearing it was the sweet chili chicken, he nodded in agreement and said they always order two – one for dinner and one for lunch the next day. We also really enjoyed the pad kee mao noodles, which were equally flavorful, pleasantly spicy and not too sweet. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because frankly, it was the worst pad thai I’ve ever had. The noodles were sickenly sweet, one dimensional, just terrible. That said, we will be back and back soon, but we will stick with those two outstanding dishes and maybe try something else next time.

This Friday the kids voted for Thai, so we decided to try the new Glenview location of Thai Inbox, which sounded like somebody with a very, very long surname’s email account. Instead, it stands for really good Thai food! Unlike some of its competitors in the area, the food is not greasy and they offer vegetarian and gluten free options. Our carry out Pad Thai, Pad Siew, Green Curry, and Chicken Satay were all tasty with decent portions. The peanut dipping sauce and cukes were perfect. They are in the old Your Choice Thai next to TJ’s with a nicely renovated dining room. Put a helmet sticker on this inbox – it’s a keeper.

I had the chicken pad thai lunch special. It was pretty good. It came w/a drink and a spring roll for $ 7. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars was because my mother ordered a shrimp and veggies and one of her peapods looked like it was old. It had a small black circle on it. who know… I liked their food. I would consider it again if I crave Thai food.

Both locations are great, and the décor of this glenview location is a nice touch! I don’t know how these people writing bad reviews had such bad experiences. They are either unlucky, or very picky. This place has some of the best pad thai in the area, and all of the other dishes I’ve had have been tasty. I would say it is more of a 4 –4.5 star place, but I’m giving 5 stars to offset the unfairly low reviews.

I have worked in this quadrant of Glenview for eight years and seen four different restaurants occupy this space. At least three of them were Thai. The consistently underwhelming quality of each iteration leaves no mystery as to why these places don’t last. On the plus side, Thai Inbox is(or was? see below) on Seamless, so I’ve ordered a couple of times when Seamless has sent me random 15% off coupons. On the minus side, the staff here don’t quite seem to grasp the concept of online third-party ordering, especially the payment element. But anyway, the food is really the point and, sadly, it’s just not good. Plus there are perplexing discrepancies between the published menu and the preparation. Thai Inbox rolls: I got one with bland, rubbery shrimp and one with imitation crab stick. What the hell? Cucumber salad: a few wisps of carrot, no onion Pad thai: peanuts and sprouts, nothing else Besides the mysteriously variable and/or missing ingredients, the food is simply poor to mediocre. So…even 15% off is barely enough of an enticement. There is far better Thai food out there, even in the north suburbs. But then yesterday I tried to use another Seamless coupon, and Thai Inbox was strangely unavailable at both lunch and dinner time. Not closed, just unavailable for ordering. So… now I count zero reasons to visit.

Awesome. A little background of the location of this Thai cuisine restaurant. There have been at least 3 Thai restaurants in this same spot for at least 20 years, and the last one that was there was, eh, at best. When I saw Thai Inbox there I thought ‘Another Thai restaurant in the same store front, *yawn* yay’ Well, then me and a buddy went in there at 2 on a Sunday for lunch. The ambiance is appropriate, it’s clean and modern looking, with those little plants and little water falls you find in all the good Asian cuisine restaurants so naturally, I knew it was going to be good food. I was wrong. The food is O U T S T A N D I N G. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea, and what came looked like coffee and had cream at the top in the ice cubes with the light amber tea below, I was pleasantly surprised when I found the cream was condensed milk and the tea was delicious. I didn’t plan on ordering an appetizer for lunch but my homing device installed behind my thermothrottle next to the base of my medulla zeroed in on potstickers, because I love potstickers. I ordered the pork potstickers and when they came I was a little taken back that they were so small, but what they lacked in size they made up for in flavor. The pork filling was seasoned nicely and the bread pocket was pan-seared and had a crispy fried outside, it was the perfect combination of textures. Moving on, I looked at the entrée options(choose chicken, pork, beef or squid as the protein for several different prepared noodles and veggies) I saw the basil entrée and new I had to have it. For the protein I thought ‘What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger’ and ordered the squid. When our entrees came the first thing I noticed were the veggies! My basil entrée had brilliant-colored, firm-but-cooked, perfectly-sliced onions, peppers(red and green) and basil. I was so impressed by how good it all looked prepared with the strips of squid, I actually paused before I ate it. Thankfully I snapped out of my gaze and took a first bite of onion pepper basil and squid, and I couldn’t believe that the vegetables tasted as good as they looked and were prepared! Bite after bite, squid and peppers and onion and a light, flavorful sauce, it was truly and experience to be had. I cannot raise both my thumbs high enough for this place. I recommend this place to anyone who likes Thai, wants to try Thai, has heard about Thai, or can’t Thai their shoes, it will knock their socks off. I can’t wait to go back for the next round and be pleasantly-surprised by the food. Oh, the waitress was very quick and polite, had the orders in promptly and was attentive.

This is a cozy little Thai place right next to Trader Joe’s with a corner window area in the plaza. I came here with my family on a Saturday afternoon for lunch just a little after they opened(doors open at noon). It was a neat little restaurant, very clean with glossy wooden tables. We were seated in a booth by the windows and their service was friendly and quick. Between three people we ordered 3 dishes and two drinks: Thai iced tea and iced coffee, Curry fried rice, Pad Thai and Rama Broccoli. You will also get iced water infused with lemon, which is a plus! There was plenty of food and we had enough to take home for leftovers. The Thai iced coffee and the Thai iced tea WILL be very sweet. I believe that’s how it’s supposed to be, and most Thai cuisine is too… but just a fair warning! I enjoyed a relaxing lunch here, and they have a wine for dinner as well. For their Rama Broccoli with Tofu, their peanut sauce was also on the sweeter side(as opposed to peanutty). But Rama Broccoli is my go-to dish and I was pretty happy with it! Great service with decent portions, and a good option to grab some grub while running errands.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, for a storefront strip mall in Glenview. They remodeled quite a bit from the old Your Choice Thai that previously was located there. Tom yum soup was good. Egg rolls, mediocre. Pad Thai, good taste but gummy clumpy noodles. Basil beef didnt have much beef or flavor. The service is why I give this only two stars. It took them about 10 minutes to give us water after serving us. I specifically asked for the egg rolls and the soup first, and then the entrees after. 10 minutes or so later, they bring the pad thai. No soup, no egg rolls. They took back the pad thai and gave us the egg rolls a few minute later. About 5 minutes later, they brought out the soup, and then about 30 seconds later, brought out the pad thai and basil beef with no apologies. I could maybe understand if the place was slammed, but we were one of maybe two tables who hadn’t been served food yet, so there should not have been any rush to get things out of the kitchen. They didn’t refill water, and I ordered the food pretty spicy, so I had to get my own pitcher of water from the front desk. Don’t get me wrong, the two people working the FOH were nice enough, but they were completely clueless. The food was ok, but dealing with service like this ensures that I will go elsewhere for Thai.

So dining in at this place provided a unique glimpse into the awful and possibly unsafe behavior of this restaurant. We placed our orders and when the food arrived, they had made multiple mistakes. This wouldn’t normally be that big of a deal, except for how they ended up handling it all. Shortly after my wife started eating her entrée having taken a few bites, the waitress said, «oh this is not your order!» She took the plate from my wife as she was eating it. My immediate thought was, «Are they seriously going to serve that to somebody else?» We were wagering about which of the people coming in for pickup was going to receive our partially eaten plates of Chinese noodles. Disgusting! On top of the Health Department issues with taking partially eaten food back, my wife’s correct entrée didn’t arrive until I was almost done eating mine! And no apology about any of this. Additionally, they brought me white rice instead of the brown rice that I had ordered. They took my white rice back(to recycle?), which wouldn’t normally be a problem except that my brown rice didn’t return for until I was done with my entrée. When I pointed out that I didn’t need the brown rice anymore since my entrée was finished, they still ended up still charging me the buck-fifty surcharge for the substitution. Needless to say, we won’t be back for takeout or dine in until it’s almost inevitably replaced with yet another restaurant at this location.

Second location, same great taste. I had Kee Mao and it was truly amazing. If you like basil or basil fried rice, then try this dish. In this location you can dine in. Inside is very clean, there is a lot of seating area, staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you might have about the menu.
