So, I’ve been here no less than 10 times. Generally, the food is pretty good which is why we come back. Kid friendly and solid service. Recently, there has been a lack of kitchen consistency. Starting with something small like cold chips that used to be warmed and guacamole that has inedible chunks. Come on, really? I had the steak fajitas last night, came out sizzling and tasty. But, the black beans were cold and undercooked. The corn on the cob was dried out and could have been a holiday decoration for the front door. The chefs need to taste their own food before sending it out. I did let the staff and manager know, not to just complain, but in the hopes they would improve for future guests. The manager was very nice and apologetic, she gave us chocolate cake on the house(awesome dessert) and really seemed to care about my concerns. I think we will give this place a rest for now and go back to YardHouse which is always consistent. Hope they can work out the kinks, as the clientele expects more and has plenty of nearby dining choices.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the burbs. The nachos and margaritas are always perfect! I love the bar area and the staff is always fun and friendly. It’s in a great location at the Glen shopping area. Everything we have tried on the menu has been amazing !

The short rib is just unbelievable ! Super tasty and the big plate is full of sides from guacamole, beans and fresh warm tortillas . My wife totally loved the cucumber margarita, and the manager surprised us with a super awesome desert for my birthday. Just a great experience over all and I can’t wait to go back again.

Uno Mas equals NOMAS!!! I miss the El Jardine!!! That places rocked!!! This place SUCKS!!! 4 pm on a Saturday night Date night Valentine Day weekend, not a living sole in the place. So my girlfriend and myself sit down and order Guacamole and drinks… The drinks too longer then the Guacamole lol… The Guacamole looked premade and it looked like it was scooped in a plate like ice cream. The place was sooooooo cold that we needed to sit with our coats on. Btw it’s 5 degrees outside. We told our sever that we never been to this place and she hounded us every 2 mins like there was a line down the street. Let me me remind you we were the only people in the place. Guacamole sucked and had no taste. My 4 year old daughter makes a better Guacamole. The beer was warm and tasted like piss needless to say we left. Hey owner of Uno Mas good luck you will be closing your doors soon!!! We left you place and went across the street to a packed and friendly place The Yard House

Big fail Was expecting quality of el Jardin. Looks almost identical … In the glen… Same location. According to the hostess, uno mas is better than el Jardin … Lmfao We asked why and her answer was idk I’ve never been to el Jardin and I am new to the glen. So we sat down Ordered guacamole. It was nasty Big chunks of unseasoned avocado… Cilantro And some bites had a faint lime flavor She came back so fast with it, and it had water under it. It was obviously pre made and scooped out. After looking over the menu AND Unilocal … We left. Didn’t order dinner. warm beer … Stella supposed to come with a gold glass… was in a Coke glass. I did not wanna order nasty food so now we’re at yard house across the street Packed Warm Not like uno mas across the street where it was freezing cold I couldn’t even take off my coat and no one was in the place. The best was we were telling The waitress we didn’t wanna order and she never asked why ! I wish I had a photo of the fans Dang it … They were FILTHY. put it this way, if sitting under a fan and a breeze came, you would have dust bunnies in your food. For being a new place, the booth backrest were torn to shreds. Looked like a pitbull chewed on it. Hopefully they clean and dust before opening the windows for summer. It is going to look like Disney on ice with the snow coming down.

This is my new favorite place to go! The food is delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Margaritas are to die for! My server told me they make their sour mix for them fresh daily.

The food was decent but they skimp on the cocktails. Sent back two drinks because they were bad. Felt like the owner is trying to fool people. Don’t like that and won’t go back as a result.

My Wife and I love, love love Mexican Food and we’ve waited to try this place for quite some time and was deeply disappointed. This is the kinda Place that People who like Generic Mexican Food would probably like, maybe not… The Mole sauce had No Real Mole Mexican Flavor it was a Bland Chile Powder Paste. The Salsa was Ice Cold and Watery. The(so-called) Mexican Rice was Bland like Boxed Rice and the Beans was Bland too No Flavor. My Steak, poor quality, had too much Fat Membrane on it and it wasn’t Cooked to the Temp I desired. The Service was Terrible, we had to search for the Waiter, always M.I.A. We ordered and later told they ran out of their High Priced Dish, only, to be told when leaving that they Never run out of it, especially, on a Saturday Night. The Place is too Small for a Comfortable Seating. The Ambiance was aight, nothing to write home to Mom about.

This place was horrible you have to wait for a table for two to be seated, the service was terrible we had to ask for more salsa or chips and the couple that’s practically sitting on top of us have to ask her for forks.. Top it off ten minutes after we order are food they came to tell me they were out of short ribs and didn’t even apologize. The rice taste like Uncle Ben’s rice in the beans were like out of a can I will never return back to this place are recommend it to anybody.

I have since been back from the first go around and can attest to major changes in how smoothly the operation runs. Friendly staff and servers and the food, now having tasted it is very good.

This is a great place to eat by window or outside during the summer. The food is simply decent, nothing to write home about. The Glenn is a fun little place to go anytime in the summer with something always to do and see and eat. I would skip this place unless you really need to have a Mexican dish. El Jardin used to be there and was a much better place for the food, but the atmosphere stayed the same.

Came here with a couple of girlfriends on Monday night. Did not have to make reservations beforehand as there was plenty of tables available. The atmosphere fits the glen, suburban chic. High end Mexican food. We all ordered tacos and traded a taco, each flavor(chicken tika, chicken Adobe and carne asada) was amazing. I also like how you are able to substitute sweet potatoes for rice or beans. Chips and guac were good but nothing memorable. Drinks were huge and strong, no complaints there! Service was okay, nice friendly staff but didn’t check on us enough. We had to go find them to get their attention, maybe because it was a slower night. Defiantly will be back, great food and drinks!

Is it good eats, yes. Is it a great Mexican restaurant, nah. Kinda foo foo North Shore Mexican. Pretty limited menu. We had fish tacos, grilled, they were good. Fish tacos deep fried, they were good. The Christmas style chicken burrito, ok. Chopped chicken salad was good, but nothing special. The $ 9 guacamole was not that good. Cut up chunks, very little blending, amateur concoction. We had to add salsa to it and mix it up more. This place is pretty over priced for its compact shopping center location. The Mexican place there I’m same location before it, was good too, and did not make it. I hope they tune it up more and can pull it off.

The food is so good. Seriously, the braised short ribs and the carne asada were both unexpectedly delicious. It almost makes their prices totally worth it. Things are definitely expensive, but for a random lunch or dinner meet every now and then it isn’t horrible. The décor and atmosphere is really chill. Both intimate and fun. I haven’t really decided how i feel about the service. Our waitress seemed very nice and polite but overall the bunch seemed very fake. This is where El Jardin used to be in the Glen, give it a go and Unilocal it up

Uno Ms is definatly mas better than the former restaurant in it’s place, El Jardin. White Sangria is delicious… especially if you eat the fruit left over. Fun atmosphere, food seems to be made out of fresh ingredients, no complaints there. Ambiance is nice too.

Always looking for great Mexican food in the burbs, but not sure this was it. Been wanting to try it so went with family n friends tonight. Place looks exactly the same as it did when it was El Jardin. Same old furniture too because our table AND some of our chairs were wobbly. Chips were not great. Salsa was basically spicy water. I love spicy!!! I even had their habanero salsa. Its just spicy. That’s it. No flavor. N watery. Service was lacking. Hostess was sweet. Helped bring water to our table. Manager came by and tried to make small talk but it was awkward and made things really weird and uncomfortable. Not sure if anyone was even paying attention to her cuz there was so much going on at our table with trying to pass out food to the hungry kids. She came at the wrong time I think. Our server was nice but there was no follow thru. Asked for a side of veggies with kids meal. Didn’t get it. Asked for«non-spicy» guacamole for the kids. Didn’t get it. Came spicy. My daughter ended up eating a jalapeño n down a very tall glass of water n was unable to taste the rest of her meal. Asked for a Togo box. Didn’t get it. Server was very nice but he said he would do all these things but there was just no follow thru. Now I just feel like he was faking it just to pacify us. Didn’t feel genuine. Drinks were WEAK!!! Stick with wine or beer!!! I had the sangria. Didn’t taste good(prob cuz it was watered down) and didn’t even get the slightest buzz. My friend usually has a sip of a cocktail and turns red n gets drunk fast!!. She had her entire piña colada n was fine! Kids meals… too plain for our kids. Cheese quesadilla with rice. That’s it! No veggies or anything. It was just a white plate with white food. Steak taco with rice was also just a single tortilla with chunks of steak on it with rice as a side. Nothing came on the taco or on the side. Not even a sprinkle of cilantro. Even some chopped lettuce with pico de gallo would have been good. But that would have been too spicy for the kids too. My daughter just ate the steak. Steak was pretty good! I had a steak burrito. It was ok, but definitely not worth $ 14 tho. The best part of the burrito was the skimpy amount of cilantro sauce they had over the top of the burrito. That was pretty good! The 2 stars are for my husband and for my friend who liked their dishes. Braised short rib cheese crisp appetizer was ok but my husband likes his grilled chicken of some sort and my friend liked her crispy shrimp dish.
