I went here last night for some food after being at the movies. It has a very nice atmosphere and good service. Our waitress was very attentive and fast. We got the margarita flatbread, pork belly tacos, and the baby back ribs to try. The flatbread was nice and thin which I like and the cheese and gooey and could really taste everything. The pork belly in the tacos were crispy and a great saltiness and went well with the tortilla. The baby back ribs were the best part of the meal. Very tender and delicious sauce. It had the perfect balance of sweet and salty with it also being sticky and messy. The fried chicken sliders at this place are also very good. Very crispy chicken with it also being very juicy. A must get. Great food, great service, and a great place to be at night.

Needed a place to watch the football game last Monday night and several locals recommended the Flight wine Bar. They Knew just what i was looking for. We noshed off the appetizer menue for the games duration and were very impressed of particular note the scallop dish was the best I’ve had! the wine list is extensive but with the help of Greg the Bartender we were able match wine with the food and the differing palates of our group. I will be back next time I’m in the area. worth the trip from the city out to Glenview.

My wife and I went to Flight last night after a movie. I was not expecting much so when the hostess told us it was going to be a 20 minute wait I was ready to leave. Steve the Manager, got involved, moved a few things around and found us a table. The food and service was great! The atmosphere was very comfortable. We now have a restaurant that we will definitely visit again.

Ok, found myself at flight to meet friends twice in the last 3 months and needed to adjust my review. All the food we ordered was consistent. Most I would rate as decent and a couple real delish. The wine selection is good and the service was fast and courteous. Glad to have another staple place to stop by around the neighborhood.

Flight is one of my favorite places in the area. I like the concept of small plates and wine. The food is usually prepared well and you can generally find some unique pairings on the menu. The salads come in generous portions, so if you are hungrier that could be a better option. Wine is definitely on point. Drinking by the glass can get expensive, so if it is your preference to try some new things a flight is a better option. Or you could just commit to a bottle and call über. Ambiance is relaxing and I find this a good place to unwind from a long day either alone or with a friend. I don’t really think it’s an appropriate group setting. It is more of an intimate environment. It is on the pricier side. That could be something to consider but in the North Shore money typically isn’t a consideration for a night out. Will definitely return.

Excellent, very pleased with Flight from service to their dishes to their drink selection everything was top notch. I highly recommend this place, perfect for a date night or out for a drink with an old friend. My duck mac and cheese was amazing as well as the crab cake. Next time me and the hubby dont have the kids we will be back. Great place for a drink or dinner in the glen before heading to a movie. Great job Flight.

What a great place to catch a game, get a nice drink, and maybe grab a bite. It took me a while to get myself here. From the name, I just assumed they were a wine bar. Turns out, they’ve got a great selection of all kinds of liquor. Now I’m kicking myself for not coming in sooner. Aside from the great selection of alcohol, they’ve got some pretty good eats as well. Big fan of their fries, scallops, wings, and shrimp linguine. Not a big fan of the burger though. Service is great as well. Seems like everyone is nice, hard working, and seeming to have the best of intentions. Really like this place a lot.

Love Flight. Hip neighborhood bar. An upscale feel without the upscale prices. Great afterwork spot, couples night out, or night cap after a movie. Good food too.

I can’t say enough great things about this place! if you’re looking for a refined atmosphere with a casual ambiance and great food done right come by and you won’t be disappointed. Backed by a friendly and knowledgeable staff, Steve especially who always strives for excellent service and quality. Don’t forget to check out their wine and spirits! A good solid selection and not to mention they sell select wines as well to take home with you. 5 – 7 happy hour on scrummy snacks and apps which are a must try especially the scallops and fried chicken sliders. The flight burger and pork belly risotto is unreal~ dessert? You’ll probably die. Enough raving though just come try it out for yourself =]

Came here on a Fri night at 6:30pm. Made reservations but it really was not necessary as there were a number of empty tables. The good: Nice romantic ambience, water refilled all the time and doggie bag offered without us asking. Improvements needed: this is my second time here from a couple of years ago and this time the food was a true let down. We had the pork belly tacos, crab cake, calamari appetizers and tuna for the main course. The fried food was over fried, like it was leftovers that was was fried a second time from the day before. The servings were tiny too. Obviously we were not going to order anything else after the initial let down. Consensus: Come here for the ambience/before dinner drinks but most definitely pass on the food…

I went to Flight on Thursday night with three of my coworkers. Only one was from Chicago and the others CO, MN and CA. Our Chicago coworker suggested we go to Flight for a pre-dinner drink and it was a great idea! We had the chunky guacamole, tempura shrimp and the calamari. A coworker had the raspberry martini(can’t remember the name but I think it was the Sage), another the Moscow Mule, the third a glass of wine and me beer. We all loved our drinks and the food! Knowing that we were from out of town, Steve(I think he’s the manager) was fantastic. He kept on checking on us and even gave me(the beer drinker) good information on a local beer. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I’d definitely go back again if I’m back in the Glen.

This place is killing lately. Relaxed and the perfect combo of nice, yet casual. Awesome craft cocktails, great beer selection as of late, and as always a super extensive wine list. The food is a clever take on many American favorites! Deconstructed guacamole, and inside out chicken pot pie, fresh tuna, flat breads and a great selection of charcuterie. The staff is polite and friendly, and will accommodate special requests! The Sunday Bloody Mary bar rocks too! Give it a try!

If you love wine you must report to Flight immediately! We have been coming to Flight for about a year and Steve, Greg and Josh make it a fun nice out. We love good wine and Flight is unique amongst wine bars in that they have accessible wines all the way up to super hard to find ultra high end. Whatever your tastes, they will help you find a gem and have fun doing it. The food and setting is upscale and fun. Once you try flight you will return again and again.

Been here several times. Everything we’ve tried has been outstanding. Duck Mac and cheese, yes please. Made this our regular Friday night stop while our kids are at lacrosse practice for half price apps. Personalized, professional, friendly service from wait staff.

I really wanted to like Flight. Unilocal reviewers had so many nice things to say, so when some friends came in from out of town I thought it would be a sure winner. We made an online reservation, which was great and super easy to do. Parking was a little difficult in the built up restaurant/entertainment district of Glenview, so we had to walk about about two blocks to the back lot. It was a typical cold winter day with a lot of wind. Ok, no problem. We live in the Midwest, right? Its cold, get over it. We were one of perhaps 4 tables that were occupied. One of these aforementioned tables contained several children and was seated very close to us in the large room. All of these children had Ipads, with the volume turned up. So at our table, the conversation was peppered with random BLEEP, CHING, and whatever other nonsense sounds you can think of from various Ipad games. Obviously, the rudeness and poor parenting of the other patrons is not the fault of the restaurant. I just wish they could have seated either them or us farther from each other, as the dinning hall was rather empty. I enjoyed the wine ‘flight’, but was rather disappointed with the presentation. It was just placed on the table and we were told the names of each wine. I’ve had ‘flights’ at other restaurants and really relished the staff’s knowledge and expert descriptions of each sample. This place did not offer such attention to detail. Wanting to try something new and imaginative, I selected one of the specials for my entrée. I believe it was flounder? See, I can’t even remember because there was nothing special about it. The vegetables were bland and overcooked and I was confused if it was rice I was eating or a glob of flavorless starch. I took half of it home, and ended up letting another family member eat it later. It was that boring. Another person in our party had a chicken Caesar salad that she couldn’t finish. Tasted like fish, like they went overboard on the anchovies… I hope Flight was just having a off night, but I don’t think I’ll be going back. I was kinda bummed to have picked a dud for special dinner with friends.

This was the second time I’ve dined at the Flight and I really love their food. For appetizers, the fried chicken sliders were very good; the crab cake was perfect; and the scallops with the butternut squash, bacon and other stuff all worked well! I had the Duck Mac and it was rich, creamy, huge serving that you could totally share, and simply delicious! The head bartender/general manager, Steve, is very attentive and he recommends great drinks and food. The place is nice to have a quiet dinner and for groups to have a nice night drinking and eating as well. The servers are all attentive and accomodating. No doubt, I will be back to try the other stuff on their menu and wine list!

Our 4 person party caught a tall table near the bar and front door, avoiding over an hour wait on a hungry, cold post movie Saturday night. We received excellent service from Mark and Aura, even got to share Aura’s space heater, hot stuff! All Mark’s recommendations were good. Velvety Rissoto and porkback was delicious, the burgers, shrimp polenta and fries all hit the spot. Interesting fair wine list and some excellent dirty martini’s after that. Perfect. Above average service and recommendations. We are fans.

Great drinks and excellent food! Try the sausage and sage flatbread, the honey definitely makes it!!! The service could be a teensy bit more attentive and personal, but everything else is fabulous :)
