I had my first experience here on Friday and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. I typically go to the Arlington Heights location, since it’s closer to my friends I go to dinner with. The service at the wheeling location is far better! Just from the moment my group walked in we were welcomed from a few different staff members of the tasting room. We ended up having Kenny being are tasting room server. He was amazing! I can admit my group can be a little pain when doing a tasting, but he did every thing with a smile. He was pretty busy, but yet would still have conversations with everyone he was taking care of, having most of people laughing. We where also able to ask him a lot about the wines and where cooper hawk gets them. This was what I thought a tasting should be like, at Arlington I feel they just give us are wine and walk away, only to come back once we are ready for more wine. Overall we had are best tasting experience from the wheeling location thanks you Kenny. Now for the rest of restaurant, the host stand seemed to be very well organized, they got us seated a few moments before our reservations. We got a nice round table towards the back of the restaurant. I can’t seem to remember the servers name, but they were amazing as well. They got all our orders correct and each person had a food modification too it. Again something that Arlington never seemed to get right, we always had to send an item back. The server always seemed to have a genuine smile and not a forceful one, I’ve had at other establishments. The food is always amazing! The wine is great they have something for everyone! Even people that don’t really like wine, this is place to try! They have sweet, fruit, sparkling wines! Overall me and my friends felt the wheeling location has the upper hand in service over other locations! So we will now be changing our normal location to this one!

My close friend is a member of their wine club, so we go probably once a month to the Arlington Heights location. I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience, it’s nice to do the tasting before dinner, it would be nice if you could order appetizers as well, but it’s obviously not meant to be a bar to eat at, it’s just the wine tasting area. The food is really good, we always get the cheese plate and sometimes the accompaniment wine flight. I can recommend the cheese plate hands down. It is amazing, if you like cheese! They give you about 4 cheeses, flatbread and a complimentary flavor chutney or relish. Delicious. My friend recently had the fish and chips, looked really tasty, except the outer coating looked a little too fried, kinda dark for my taste, but he said it was really good. I had pasta with chicken, tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms-really good. We finished our meal with the chocolate cake, decent, very chocolate, but I’ve also had the crème brûlée, which I liked better. This location is usually really busy, so I would plan to get there early if you’re doing a tasting, if the bar is packed it’s hard to get in.

large-scale winery themed restaurant with multiple locations throughout central to eastern states… enter and finding standard winery tasting room… wine tasting bar, gifts, trinkets, decanters and the large glass wine dispensers… cone shaped glassware with a push-up lever to fill a glass with one hand… fill the cone with wine and place the glass ball on top to close… reservations for restaurant and seated… starting with complimentary wine tasting to select dinner bottles… very generous tasting with pours for entire table of multiple varieties… great service and staff… new glasses for each tasting and feeling at this rate, might not need to order bottles… but, still ordering few bottles of the zin, malbec, pinot noir, syrah, etc. too many bottles… round of appetizers for the table next… mexican drunken shrimp was very tasty… basically, a good bacon wrapped shrimp with guacamole… chicken potstickers cooked crisp on both sides with sweet soy sauce dip fine… lettuce wraps were bit messy and cumbersome… large pieces of lettuces, julienned vegetables and sweet-chili chicken… was bit too sweet… chicken chorizo burger and nice crispy fries ordered… patty had bit too much of cajun seasoning and was very salty… good fries, but salty burger… discount joining for cooper’s hawk wine club… new american fusion style influence in most dishes from saucing to ingredients… average meal, but excellent staffing and service…

Went to a wine pairing dinner tonight. It was amazing! The service was spot on. If you wanted more wine for the pairing no problem. They weren’t breathing down your neck but they were there when you needed them. Great wines! Now for the food, absolutely delicious! The servings were quite generous and outstanding. The only bad thing was the desert is not on there menu. Please, please put the nuttella desert on the menu. To die for! I will be making reservations for there seafood pairing in March. Thanks Cooper’s Hawk. I will be telling all my customers what a great Evening it was. See you in March

Delicious food. Friendly staff. I love the wine club. I have been a member for a year now. It’s a bit pricey but you always get what you pay for. Big recommendation.

We’re frequent visitors of this particular location and love it! The $ 7 wine tastings are delicious, and help pass the time while you wait for a table. The staff are always fantastic and the food is delicious. For food, I recommend: — The goats cheese and beets salad — Ahi Tuna — Trio of steak Tip: buy a bottle and enjoy the large table decanter!

I love their Riesling, cranberry, and pomegranate wines. And their food is amazing, however the service is subpar. I hate when restaurants feel they can get away with bad service because of the reputation of their food. It took 30 minutes to have the bottle of wine we ordered delivered to the table. The waitress was not very attentive as she looked a little overwhelmed. Not sure how many tables she had but we were there on a Monday night. The food is fabulous. Ordered the Napa Salad and the Chicken Madeira and split with a friend. I did appreciate the chef splitting the food for us and plating it so we didn’t have to split it at the table. Both dishes were amazing. After dinner, we wanted to taste some wine and went to the wine tasting counter. Took forever for someone to help us although there were only a few people already there tasting. Then the server wasn’t very friendly when explaining the tasting and when asking what we wanted. Not helpful and made us feel like a burden. Then after we tasted two wines, when we were told we would get three tastes, another server came over and took our glasses and rudely asked if there was something she could help us with and walked away after answering our question about the Mulled winter wine. We stood there for another 10 minutes waiting for someone to ring up the wine we wanted to purchase. Went over to the checkout station and she sent us back to the counter to make the purchase. After waiting a little longer, we decided to leave without purchasing any wine. Lost us as wine customers that night because of the service which is sad. I’ll go to the one in Naperville to purchase wine since I’ve had good experiences there.

After years of being a patron to Cooper’s Hawk, we were all pretty upset about the Thanksgiving experience we had with a poor management. However, I give back the five stars to this establishment for making things right again. To clarify, I wrote to Cooper’s Hawk to let them know that I DONOTWANT any kind of compensation, monetary or otherwise. I just want an SINCEREAPOLOGY for the poor experience our family had. After I wrote the review, Mr. Michael M. from CH wrote a reply, and an agent & the area director both called me to apologize and let me know that they had an internal meeting with the said manager to inform her of our concern regarding her actions. They also apologized for the hair in food as well, and accepted responsibility for it. I won’t go into detail about what happened, but they have won our business back with a sincere apology and a prompt action regarding the matter. We understand that in the restaurant business, lot of things can be out of management’s control. Hairs may fall in, food may taste not so great for some, service may be lacking some times, delays may be made. But management should always stay above all that, and be prepared to make things right, not make things worse. The upper management of Cooper’s Hawk Corporation went out their way to make things right with a single customer… so two thumbs up to them! P. S. My husband thinks our server’s name was Sarah(same as me-_-). I honestly do not remember but just want to point out that she did an excellent job handling multiple orders in reasonable time(reasonable on a holiday!) and always keeping a big smile on her face and making us feel very welcome. Kudos to her!

I come here often for appetizers and the wine(obviously). All their apps are great — any of their flatbread pizzas are good, meatballs, cheese platter, ahi tuna tacos, and now I’m just naming all the apps on the menu. I wouldn’t order any entrees though. I had a few entrees here before but really wasn’t impressed by the quality or the taste of the food even though the presentation is always very nice. The servers are so friendly. It’s a nice place to get together with a few friends or a nice date place.

Probably one of the best pina coladas we’ve ever had. We had the pork belly tostada, ahi tuna taco, and carne asada flat bread. I do have a few suggestions… The flat bread could be a little thicker but made amazing left overs. The pork belly tostada might be better on a soft shell taco, or even on a flat bread. The ahi tuna taco was a little dry. Even though the wasabi aoli was nice, a little ponzu soaked onions, along with the lime, would have helped bring out a few more notes. I brought a few home with me and added a little teriyaki on one and ponzu on the other and it definitely changed the whole dynamic in a positive way. My suggestions are just that, suggestions. Not saying it’s not good how it is. I have had similar food that was similar. Separately the food was great but together, seemed a little greasy. Finally, the pretzel bread and lobster soups was fantastic as well.

Just had Thanksgiving here and it was fabulous! We don’t usually go out for Thanksgiving so we were trying something new. We liked that they had a turkey dinner you could order or you could order off of the menu. Most of us had the turkey dinner and it was excellent. They served it plated with a big serving of white meat and some dark meat, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and creamed corn. My husband ordered a steak and loved it. The sangria was delicious… everything was soooo good. I only gave 4 stars because it took forever to get our check but it was really busy. Our server was great up until then. Highly recommend.

I went here with a group of 12 for a happy hour. We were situated in the bar area at two high top tables. I am going to come right out and say it: Service Was AWESOME. Waiters kept our drinks filled, water, beer, wine. They got food orders correct. And they managed to put everyone on separate checks. There was not one issue. They were not mad about the separate check request — some places get upset about that. Beer selection was just okay — but this is a winery. Wine selection was really great. Wine by the glass was frankly more expensive than just ordering a bottle to share or not to share. But living in the burbs requires driving to get around and you probably shouldn’t drink an entire bottle of wine. Food was on point. Loved the calamari. Burratta was a big hit once I explained to my group what that was. I did not try it because Dairy. Also tried the shrimp which was very flavorful. Ambiance was 5 stars. It was dark and inviting and a good place to relax and unwind. Why four stars? Didn’t like the location. It’s off Milwaukee which is my least favorite road in the entire state of Illinois. Sigh.

I’ve been a wine club member of many local wineries. I love Cooper’s Hawk because when I walk in the door in my fly fishing hat with my hair undone after a float on the water they treat me well. I have more than enough money to buy a lot of wine, but when I have walked into some wine club tastings, they treat me horribly because I don’t look like a connoisseur. Cooper’s Hawk has good wine, good food and decent people working there… and they treat me well. That says a lot. I will remain a member for a long time because of that.

Nice atmosphere and décor. The staff is friendly and the food was delicious. I had the shrimp campanelli and it was freaking amazing, i gobbled it down so fast and was wishing for more. The lettuce wrap appetizers are really good too. We got the crab cakes meal which was pretty small for the price but i guess since it’s real crab they upcharge it. We were kind of pissed when we took it to go and they didn’t even put the sauce in a to go cup in the container or anything. If you serve it with something, then that should be given with it to go. Other than that, the only other negatives i have are the prices. It’s seems a little bit cheaper than most steakhouses, but i guess this is a slightly different type of place. Either way, most of the stuff was a bit pricey and some of it was fairly weak portions. The desserts at the entrance/exit are definitely upcharged but they are very good. I would debate coming back one day. Right now, i’m still salty about their to go etiquette lol

My husband and I tried this lovely spot for lunch. We were staying at The Westin while in town for a wedding so the location couldn’t be beat. We tried to come for dinner on a Friday night, but this is obviously a popular place so there was an hour wait. We knew just from looking around that we had to come back and I’m glad that we did. We started our lunch with the dessert wine flight because sweet wines are our jam. This included rhubarb, peach, raspberry, and sweet red. They were all delicious and the pours were generous for a wine flight. All of the appetizers sounded great, but we narrowed to Over The Border Egg Rolls. These had great flavor and the sauces were not only unique, but yummy as well. My husband had the Chicken Chorizo flatbread which had a great combination of flavors and was plenty of food for one person. I ordered a lunch combination of Caesar Salad and Carne Asada flatbread. It was meant to be a light meal, but was large. The flatbread was delicious and the salad helped me meet my vegetable quota for that meal. This would have been more than enough food. Would have… but there was Banoffee Pie on the menu so the show had to go on. Banoffee Pie! This should be on more menus, but it isn’t. Amazingly, the Banoffee Pie exceeded my expectations. Every bite was better than the last. The graham crust, caramel, and banana all went together so well. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time. What a great spot for a drink and delicious food.

I went here for a small group dinner of 8 and could not order my filet medium rare because it was a group venue. I voiced a complaint through Unilocal messaging a business and received no reply. I don’t believe they want my business. There are plenty of steakhouses in the area to compete with so I will not be frequenting this establishment.

This place is next to the Westin North Shore. The atmosphere and décor are quite nice. All dishes were flavorful. The pork belly tostada appetizer was out of this world. I could have had 3 orders of that for my main course but I wouldn’t have had a chance to try other dishes so I had to pace myself.

When I mentioned to my husband I was going to Cooper’s Hawk in wheeling for a friends BDAY dinner his response was«Wheeling? That’s really far!» I made a mental note to leave plenty of time in the car, but by the time I put the kiddos to bed it was a few min til dinner. I swear that I used to be an on time person before I had kids. Sigh. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised to see after typing the address into my gps that it was just 15 min away. While I arrived 10 min late for our 830pm res it didn’t matter because they didn’t seat us til 9pm. I’ve come to expect that at city restaurants, but that doesn’t fly in the burbs. Fortunately, they made up for the wait with good service and food. We tried a bunch of delicious apps(the calamari was especially good). I ordered the Cobb salad for my entrée expecting to only pick at it after so many apps, but it was tasty so I put a nice size dent in it. It turned out to be a nice group dinner in a part of the burbs I don’t get out to much. While there are other good spots that are a bit closer to me, I’ll definitely keep them in mind as a good dining spot when need to meet with with someone in the wheeling area.

I had never been to a wine tasting near my house before. For about 8 bucks we tasted 8 different wines. There’s a list of different kinds we can choose from and it was nice because they didn’t mind opening unopened bottles. My favorites were Red Sangria, White Sangria, Passion Fruit, and Blueberry. All three were about 12% so I was definitely buzzed! Usually I can go for a little bit more dry, but majority of my friends like sweet so I didn’t want to try something I knew only I would enjoy. We made our reservation accordingly to when we thought we’d finish our tasting. Had to wait a little. but that wasn’t a big deal since they were busy. Food took a while to make-that’s my only complaint. Other than that the food and wine were super yummy. Obviously going back!
