I love this place so much. First, the soup is top notch. I’ve never had one I didn’t like. Granted, I like most everything anyway, but their soups are flavorful and varied. Second, the service! Everyone always seems so happy and helpful. I’m always asked if I’ve been here before and offered as many samples as I’d like. I love that they call you by name, not number when the food is ready. They don’t always ask, sometimes they just take the name from the credit card. That’s smart and the first name basis is friendly. Third, and most importantly, I love that they focus their hiring on folks with special needs! I wasn’t sure this was the case and it’s just not proper to ask directly. Instead, I looked up the story of the company on line and it’s beautiful. What a wonderful thing the family has done. As a society, we need to support this business and others like it. I know I will continue to do my part. I’ll even step up my visitations because I love supporting folks who do good things.

Zoup! is a convenient fast casual restaurant with delicious soups! I am gluten-free so I am limited to certain soups and salads, but I am always happy with my options. I have heard that the sandwiches are good, too! Zoup! also labels soups for dairy-free and vegetarian dietary restrictions. The tomato basil soup and chicken kale soup are very good. I also tried the potato cheddar soup today, which was not bad. Everyone who works at Zoup! is friendly as well, which is another reason to come here. Zoup! has plenty of heathy options and has their nutrition facts on their website, which is much appreciated. I hope to see more Zoup! s popping up in the Chicago area since it is sometimes difficult to find restaurants with accommodations for people with gluten sensitivity/Celiac.

Their chicken pot pie soup is fantastic, super fast delivery worth every penny. I ordered off of grubhub.

I’ve passed by this place’s innocuous exterior a number of times and finally decided to try it. At first glance it resonated like Chipotle Mexican Grill or any of another sterile medium-fast food places. However, instead of an apathetic teenage mumble I found the customer service was great! The fellow behind the counter asked if they’d ever served me before(nice approach) — I had not been there before. He explained the menu clearly and quickly and offered to let me sample any of the soups. I tried a combo with lobster bisque and half of a Chicken Toscana sandwich. The sourdough bread that accompanied the soup was good — much fresher than the bread at Panera. The lobster bisque was just outstanding! I only got a small serving but I wished I’d indulged in a larger size. The sandwich was utterly disappointing. It was conservatively portioned, drippy, lukewarm and modestly flavorful. Such a disappointment after the incredible soup! I would have given the place another star except the sandwich was so offsetting that I had to take it back. I might stop back in but in a town with a lot of dining choices it may be a long while.

Had a cup of french onion and half a Cobb salad. It was ok, I expected a slice of cheese to be covering the bowl and melted in the broiler vs shredded cheese dropped into the soup with croutons. But I guess with a cardboard bowl that is not possible. They dont skimp on the onions which were nice and hardy. You also get to choose 3 types of buns to go with the soup so I thought that was nice. The half salad was way more than I thought I would get. Overall they were friendly and helpful and an interesting concept for a chain. I definitely will go back for the lobster bisque.

I have been to Zoup a few times. It is close to my office and it has been added to my rotation for one reason: the chicken wild rice soup. That is well seasoned and flavorful. It has a nice balance. I have tasted a few of the other soups and couldn’t make a commitment. I just didn’t like them. The lobster bisque seemed salty for example. This works like a panera. You go on the line. You pick your soup. You pick your bread. You pay. They call your number. About average.

Love this place! I am a fan of soup all year long, regardless of how hot it is outside! This place delivers great customer service and any place that employs Individuals with disabilities /community will always get my business! Now the food … Love the seasonings and creaminess of the spicy enchilada soup paired with the southwest turkey sandwich. For a ½ sandwich and cup of soup, I paid $ 9.50. A little pricey but food was great! Will be back for sure :)

I really like this place! Normally, I’m not a big soup guy, but I love coming here. The employees really encourage you to try almost all the soup before you pick one, and it’s all delicious! The Chicken Pot Pie is awesome! I also got the chicken toscana wrap, which was great! Super friendly staff too!

I have eaten her about five times or so. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sunday :(I have been in the area, and wanted to eat here surprisingly frequently on Sundays. Anyway…they list if the food is Gluten free, vegan, etc… right on the labels. Also they give you samples just like in an ice cream shop! I sampled the Mac & Cheese soup just today. That tasted amazing. Something to quench your need for glorious Mac & Cheese in soup form! I settled on the Chicken something which is still quite good. I have never been disappointed here. The staff is friendly, and gives off a family friendly yet professional atmosphere.

Broccoli Cheddar soup here is horrible salty pureed mess. It is too orange, cheesy and tiny bits of broccoli. No bites of veggies mentioned that was in it. Broccoli should be bigger. I pay way less for a bread bowl soup at panera bread. Your bread bowl is actually delish but not worth the price I paid. Panera bread broccoli cheddar is creamier and not overwhelming salty like Zoups. When I read review the place was spotless. Yeah right there was dust everywhere when I used the bathroom. The metal guard on door was stained. Cant miss it. 2 star for decent service and bread but not for the price. By the way I had to go to jewel and get stuff to make a classic pbj sandwich as I ended up giving away my soup as couldnt handle how bad it was.

Terrible! Bad soups, bad sandwiches and poor quality. The staff was friendly and was clean, but given the are it’s in, there are a lot of better options.

I want to like this place. But the price you pay in relation to the quality and quantity just doesn’t add up. Two bowls of soup and a chicken wrap for $ 20? A bit pricey, compared to say Panera or Corner Bakery, in my opinion. I’ve tried several soups and three of their sandwiches on previous visits and it’s okay. If I’m going to spend $ 6 for soup and another $ 6 for a sandwich, I want more than«okay». Soups, salads, and sandwiches. Simple foods to prepare. Popular options for the working lunch crowd. I like the concept of the place, several soups to choose from(Lobster Bisque and Chicken Pot Pie are offered every day), but I think they need to step up the quality or bring down the prices a bit. Zoup! is a chain of restaurants, which is all the more reason the prices need to come down. I can go to Max and Benny’s and get a similar sized soup and a half sandwich(similar in size to a Zoup! sandwich) for around $ 10. And the food and M & B’s is consistently above average. Zoup! is clean, the staff is friendly. Improve the quality or lower the prices, and you’ll have a winner. If the quality improved, I’d pay what you’re charging. If you dropped the price and kept the quality where it’s at, I’d be happy with that too.

To say the staff are friendly is an understatement. Remarkably, they ALL seem to be naturally friendly people, making eye contact, smiling, being gracious hosts, and taking pride in their restaurant and food. I think I need to hire them to clean my home, because this place is the cleanest. Every surface looks brand new, even though they’ve been open well over a year. Even the salt & pepper shakers on the table look brand new, and I actually walked into the bathroom and thought, «wow, this is clean.» And, I should note, there was not a hint of chlorine or chemical smell that some other places consider an indication of «clean” – and which I consider very distasteful. The smell in this restaurant was the soup. As a vegetarian, I’m so thankful for a variety of options that aren’t the same old«tomato basil» or «garden vegetable» that rotates in every other sandwich shop. Because you can sample whatever you want, I could make the perfect choice. The tomato cabbage was a little salty for me, so I went with the veggie waves of grain. I regretted not upgrading to the larger size for 99 cents, cause I was scraping the bottom of the container with my spoon! ;-) I don’t understand the complaints about price. The combo of half a sandwich and soup, including your choice of bread roll, is $ 7.75. That’s a good deal — better than Panera just in price — and way better in terms of soup selection and being vegetarian friendly.

Pass on this place! I tried the vegetarian wrap and lentil soup. The wrap was all lettuce and a slice of American cheese. Lentil soup was flavorless and I had to add salt for some semblance of flavor. McDonalds next door has better salad with actual tomatoes in it. Don’t be fooled by the health benefits and«low Cal» options as the reason why it’s low cal, it is because you get lettuce and not much more. If I could give this place a half star, I would.

Not sure why this location doesn’t have at least 4 stars because it’s such a great lunch spot! The prices are not that high, but you definitely get better quality than a Panera lunch meal. The staff is always more than willing to let you taste any of the soups, so if you don’t like the sample, don’t get the soup! Lately the store has been better at diversifying their selection. Their sandwiches, personally, aren’t that great but my family and I only go there when we are in a «soup» mood. I just wish they wouldn’t close so early on the weekends.

Good food, high prices. I came in with my father because he had a BOGO coupon. I have been wanting to try the place, so why not? They were very welcoming upon arrival and let me sample as many soups as possible. The people at the counter(I think one was the owner/manager) were very proud of their soups and explained how each was made. Points on passion! We took our order to go. The set-up is not much different from the bagel place Zoup replaced. However, it has more hot table space. They also spiffied up the place to make it look new. The soup was definitely fresh and tasted awesome. I had the Chicken Pot Pie. It was really filling and had a lot of vegetables. It also contained a roll that was definitely fresh. You had three choices of bread — french, sourdough, or wheat/multigrain. Why three points you may ask? The prices are ridiculous. With a BOGO coupon for two cups of soup, it was around six dollars. I can get a big container of equally good soup from Marianos for less! Will I come back? Probably yes but with a coupon.

I’m a big fan of the whole Zoup concept. There are so. many. sandwich places and not enough places just concentrating on soup. Well, I got bit by the sick bug and yearning for soup… Nothing that required a lot of chewing. I called up their number, heard their soup offerings for the day, immediately decided I needed the white bean and turkey sausage in my life, and headed over to Glenview. I was really impressed by their offerings, and the chicken and dumpling soup sounded great, but I didn’t want to confuse my body, so I stuck to my selection. Service was good, pace was decent, and I could tell the cashier was trying hard to be efficient and friendly. The sandwiches looked great too, and I wish I had been hungry enough to order a wrap. They looked simple and delicious. I was also taking my food to go but the area to sit down looked comfortable. The soda fountain also had blueberry pomegranate and acai Vitamin Water and Fresca! I’ve had their lobster bisque and shrimp bisque and both were delicious. My white bean and turkey sausage soup came with two fresh-out-of-the-oven sourdough buns. Yum! I will be back.

Mr B(that’s me) received a post card the other day for a free small soup and roll at the Glenview Zoup location. Since the price was within my budget, and my daughter’s car needed some«exercise,» I took a short jaunt over to the exotic and mysterious Plaza del Prado shopping strip. Just so you know, my drug-dealing(pharmacist), Dairyland daughter left her car on our driveway the other day because she was taking a cruise to the Caribbean and it was far less expensive to fly to her embarkation point from ORD than from MKE — so she left her car with us for the duration of her experience on the high seas. Ha Ha: her car is being used by the local birdies as target practice. Now that I have addressed guano, we can focus on Zoup. Wait: her car is a Ford Focus! CONSUMERALERT: I am not implying that Zoup sells bird poo. I got there about 12:15, and the place was about half filled with soup gourmands. The place uses a counter service concept, and they are more than happy to let you taste each of the soups on the daily bill of fare. I chose a vegetable soup and a roll(each of which was free) and I upgraded my soup to a larger vessel, and I purchases some pop(«soda» for you non-Midwesterners). The soup is very tasty, although saltier than I would prefer. The roll — well what can you say about a roll? They also have a variety of salads available for those who prefer greens. Definitely a chick place(no, not the offspring of a chicken). The scenery was pretty good: lots of 20 – 30 year-old women accounted for the bulk of the patrons. [By now, you may have realized that I went stag: Mrs B was at work]. I slipped off my wedding band, and sadly, none of them came flocking to me. Perhaps they had to get back to work or something. Certainly that must be the case: the ladies find me utterly irresistible. The price for a 12 oz. soup, small roll, and beverage totaled more than $ 8. Kinda costly when you think about it. I think they need to figure out some way to offer a better value proposition — or the novelty of a rather costly fast-food soup emporium might wear off.

I have heard that this place was good but expensive. So we finally stepped foot in there today. There’s a good selection of soup. Service was friendly. We were offered to sample their soup too. I think the price is reasonable. Comparable to panera bread. Portion is bigger than panera bread. One star for the soup sample One star for friendly service One star for the portion Taste was decent but way too salty in both the soup we had, n even the Cobb salad was loaded w sodium??? May be it’s the chicken n we only uses half the dressing offered??? They try to be healthy w dairy free gluten free n all that but too salty. If you don’t mind it, it’s ok to go.
