Unsure why this location is listed as closed because we were just here yesterday and go here regularly every couple of days. We love the freshness of their salads. There is a good variety of different options available, dressings etc. they recently also got a new machine for freshly squeezed OJ which is slightly better than an establishment down the street except it is not organic. If you get one of their frequent visitor cards, you get free salad after the 10th salad.

Soup is terrible. Minestrone Soup has no taste, watered down, super hot, as in boiling. Over priced for 8 oz,

The salad, wrap, as well as soup is excellent! This place is called Fresh Wrap now! I challenge you to give it a try! It’s excellent for a healthy takeout! Also it’s not vegetarian if you want to add meat you can, if choosing to go meatless they accommodate to that as well. The only thing missing is gluten free, it would be quite easy to incorporate corn wraps!

The salad was good, but $ 11?!? They also don’t post the prices and the staff was rushed and rude.

It’s a shame when I bought the Tuna Garden with some chips and paid almost $ 12 for it that I thought it sounded expensive, I checked the board for the pricing and it said $ 8.20 for the wrap and not the $ 9 he charged me… I mention it and he owner says that’s the old pricing and I just bought the place and the prices are going up more when he puts up the new pricing next week… Lol really??? Also Quiznos has better tuna and that’s not saying much

I was in the area for work and looking for a quick, healthy bite. Being that this is in a great area-I expected great things. When I walked in, I went to where it said«Order Here». I stood there for quite some time while the two guys behind the counter just looked at me like I was crazy and didn’t say anything. I finally walked over and asked them where I order. I proceeded with my order and then they talked amongst themselves and walked away a couple times and came back. I was the only person in line. It still took awhile for them to «get it together». There were boxes stacked up everywhere behind the counter and things did not look entirely clean. I stayed and ate my salad, which was actually not bad. But-I was there at Noon during what should be the rush and it was completely dead. There was no music, no ambiance to this place at all. I witnessed customers being criticized by the two employees for asking to leave certain things off of their order. It’s a real shame-great concept, healthy food and a great location. But-lacking the essentials for success-friendly, professional employees, ambiance and cleanliness. P. S.–I have never written a review on Unilocal-but there were so many issues that I created a profile and wrote this review before I left this place!

I went to Chop It Up a year ago. Our experience was so-so — food was ok and the service and ambiance could be better. This seems to be a common theme among other reviewers. A deal from Double Take Offers came up for Chop It Up so I decided to get that and give this place another try. I went to use the deal last week. Ordered 4 sandwiches and when I went to pay, they would not accept the deal because the store’s ownership recently changed. He said that he would receive no money for this transaction. I get that, but the sandwiches were already made and sitting in a bag. Either way, he was out the money for 4 sandwiches but a gesture of good will would be to let me use what I paid for… again, the sandwiches were ALREADYMADE. But instead, he insisted that he would find someone who could eat them. In the process, he also lost a customer.

So, we went for lunch. There was one person working. He worked hard but one employee at lunch at a lunch place(soup, salads, sandwiches)? It took FOREVER to get service. The menu is crazy limited – one soup and a bunch of options you can have in a bowl or in a wrap. That part is OK… it is what it is. But the service was crummy – not the ONE guy’s fault. People kept getting tired of waiting, and they left. I don’t know how this place stays in business. Anyway, our group of three had two salads and one wrap(and a smoothie). The salads are chopped, and pretty monotonous. My husband asked for the shrimp option on his Asian salad. They were out of shrimp. So, he said, «OK, I’ll have the steak.» Out of that, too. It was chicken or nothing. This place is in The Glen, where there have to be twenty places to eat lunch. I would recommend going to another one. If you just want a salad or a sandwich, Pot Belly is cheaper, faster and better.

The workers are great and remember you if you come in more than once! They always ensure your salad is exactly how you want it and make friendly conversation with you. Love them! When it’s nice out they have outdoor seating in the glen town center, staff will come out and check on you occasionally if they aren’t busy!

I was charged a higher price than the one displayed on the menu on the wall. I was told, «Sorry. We haven’t changed the prices on the wall.

I almost walked out as soon as I ordered my wrap. There were two workers and both of them were so rude I couldn’t believe it. I asked what kind of wrap tortillas were available and he didn’t say one word but just pointed at a list in front of the counter that was so small I could barely see. Then he asked«What do you want?»… even at McDonald’s their employees are trained to talked politely to customers with the right word choices. Other employee was singing so loud I thought I wasnt in the restaurant…

Fresh and delicious! I like that they have options for both make-your-own salad and house specialties.

I couldn’t tell you how the food is here because the worker at the counter was so rude I walked out. I asked a couple of questions about the menu and I was clearly bothering the guy, so I decided to take my money and business somewhere else.

I came here between the lunch hour and early dinner hour on a Friday — not prime time exactly, but completely quiet and I was the only patron there. When I walked in I wasn’t sure if anyone was working there. There were two guys sitting at a table watching TV. I must have stood there for 30 seconds before one of them came over.(Were they hoping I would leave so they wouldn’t be interrupted from watching their show?) I ordered a roast beef sandwich, which came with roasted red peppers and blue cheese and mayo, that was it. No lettuce or tomatoes, nor was I asked if I wanted anything else on it. The menu clearly said it came with sourdough bread, but they put it on plain white bread! The guy behind the counter acted like it was a bother for him to be doing his job and didn’t say one word to me until it was time to pay. You have to be very wary of any fast food that will put a «tip jar» right in front of their cash register when you go to pay. However this was a very tall tip container, clearly filled up by the owner and in a transparent blue glass to make you feel like you were expected to offer one. To me this place is sleazy, and I wouldn’t go there again. Don’t waste your money, either.

When I walked in I wasn’t sure anyone was working, but as I approached the order area I noticed two people, playing on their phones. I don’t really care what employees do at work when no one is there, so it didn’t bother me, but me being there while they were on their phones, bothered them. I was immediately rushed, but there wasn’t anyone else there and they weren’t closing for another 2 hours, so I was confused. The menu overwhelmed me, there is a lot to check out, which would have been okay if I wasn’t being rushed. I wasn’t even ready to order but they kept saying«you ready?» every few seconds. I mentioned it was my first time thinking they would give me some time to make my decision but they kept pushing me to hurry up, and pick the next item. It wasn’t like I was taking my sweet time, I had only been in there for 3 minutes.(I noticed the time when I walked in) eventually I got frustrated and gave up on trying to pick out ingredients and just paid for my salad. The ingredients were good, and their turkey chili was decent, had the service been better I may have given 4 stars, but it was obvious they were eager for me to leave the counter. After I sat, and began to eat, they went back to their phones, and watching the TV that was in the place, which leads me to believe that they rushed me to keep watching Tv and play on their phones. I don’t think I’ll come back anytime soon.

I was in the area running some errands when I found this place. It is veggie friendly but don’t let the«Vegetarian» label scare you away of you’re not of that preference. They have plenty of meat options as well. They just cover all their bases. The atmosphere is clean and modern looking with good acoustics so although it feels like you’re in a big place, you don’t have to shout over everybody. I didn’t know what was good because nobody specified anything in particular so I went for the first thing on the menu BBQ Chicken Tortilla wrap. Oh my god is it packed full and delicious, and not messy at all. Another thing that is really neat is for every item they offer the option to have it in a wrap, or make a salad of it. And all their ingredients are fresh and delicious. I will definitely be coming here more often on my lunch breaks.

I’m not infatuated by this place anymore, but it’s still worth a spot in the second-tier lunch rotation. I just don’t get over to The Glen that often, and the place isn’t as wonderful as I once thought. Sometimes I still crave a big salad though. A few notes that I’ve observed over the last year or so: PROS 1. The punch card – ten salads or wraps gets you a free one 2. Mondays you get six choppings for the price of four 3. Outdoor seating(if you like that sort of thing) CONS 1. The staff is inscrutable at best, sometimes aloof 2. The inside isn’t terribly welcoming for someone who prefers to sit down to read at lunch like I do. It’s sort of cavernous and echoey, and doesn’t have much charm. 3. Sometimes the tables aren’t clean; this is SO basic – get with the program, Chop It Up 4. I still think that the prices are $ 0.50-$ 1.00 more than they should be

Light and fresh. That’s what a couple coworkers and I wanted for lunch. Chop’t came to mind. We had never been here before. The menu of salads, wraps, and sammiches was extensive, and if you didn’t see anything that called to you, you could create your own masterpiece. I tried the strawberry spinach salad wrap, which was refreshing, but I wasn’t crazy about the syrupy strawberries in it. Fresh strawberries would have been da bomb… especially since it cost a hefty $ 9. Overall, didn’t love it or hate it.
