Pinot’s Palette

What a lovely place for a girl’s night! It’s a very cute, eclectic space in The Glen. The girls working there are very friendly and helpful and really made the experience enjoyable. The wine was delicious and moderately priced. This was my first time going to a painting party and I’d certainly do it again.
The instructor made it so easy! I didn’t think I’d be able to make my own painting look anything like the example, but with her help, I did. She would tell us what to do, and how to put our own twist on it if we wanted to. Then, she would put on some music (Which was really good) and let us paint away. This process repeated until we were done! With my Unilocal check-​in, I was able to get a free wine glass, so I walked away with a (semi) masterpiece and a wine glass!

I’ve never had so much fun being disappointed! Disappointed in my incredibly pitiful painting skills. We laughed, we got frustrated & cursed, we schemed creative ways to destroy our ugly paintings afterward, and we laughed some more! But in the end, I was actually proud of my abstract Monet that looks good from afar. Like, really far away. And I kept it too!
All jokes aside, I can’t wait to come back! Their class schedule is online, so my friends and I stalked it for a few months before deciding which to sign up for. When we arrived, our stations were already set up with our names, blank canvas, and paints. All we needed to do was grab a smock and a drink from the bar in the back (extra $). The teachers were great too!
FYI, it’s located in the shopping/​dining area of The Glen by one of the stop signs across the street from Von Maur. Parking is free anywhere, and there are several lots not too far away.

Great Time! We had a group of about 15 – 20 ladies for a bachelorette party and it was fantastic. Special shout out to Jenny who was the best host and really helped each and every person individually when they needed it. She was also very entertaining and kept it a real bachelorette party the whole time!

Terrible customer service from the manager Olivia. Selling out the private party room from under our feet without any notice. She knew we wanted the date and time just 24 hours ago, but sold it to someone else without even checking in with us first. No common courtesy. They obviously only care about $$$$, not client satisfaction.

My girlfriends and I got a Groupon for four and had a lot of fun. The bartender was great and came to refresh so we wouldn’t have to leave our canvasses. The instructor went too fast for those of us who have never painted before, and there were many women around us who also were fuzzy on the details. We asked the assistant if they could go a little slower and go over things again, but she said no. I liked the concept, but the execution needs some smoothing over.

Very entertaining place with great atmosphere, great music and fun, very easy painting instructions! I went there for a ladies’ night out so the price was great as well. Not sure I would go there if it were full price though ($ 28 vs $ 48)

I attended an event with my sister, and we had so much fun. The staff is helpful and encouraging. Mari and her team are wonderful!

I truly enjoyed painting with my date at Pinot’s Palette! We were a little late and the instructor was very patient with us and quickly brought us up to speed. I really enjoyed the smaller class setting because it provides a nice personal touch, and room to move about while painting.
I will definitely go back soon, and I’ve already recommended it to quite a few people. I had a great time and looking forward to more painting at Pinot’s Palette!

I had so much fun at Pinot’s for my sister surprise shower! They were wonderful when planning the event and the day of the event everything was taken care of to a T! Everyone had a great time drinking and painting! They were even accommodating to the little kids that were there! I would definitely go again!

This was so much fun! It was a small group for couples to make a dual picture. Teacher was very helpful. We had a lot of fun and I can’t wait to go again.

I don’t always brag about my social life, but when I do, it’s because I threw a party at Pinot’s Palette.
My wee baby sister is getting married in just about two months. I, being her amazing maid of honor, was in charge of her bachelorette party. Let me paint a picture for you (pun intended). My sister is very shy and conservative. Typical bachelorette debauchery is not her style, and I wouldn’t want her to be uncomfortable at her own party.
Enter Pinot’s. We did small a private party. The party room was lovely, with floor length easels and our choice of music. I brought food and there was plenty of room to set it up. The bar drinks were reasonably priced, around 5 – 6 dollars per drink.
We painted our own versions of Monet’s Water Lilies at Morning. It was amazing to see how differently everyone’s paintings turned out even though we were all taking the same directions. All of the paintings were beautiful.
All of the staffers at Pinot’s were super sweet. You can tell that they all love working here! I can’t wait to come back for another class.

Pinot’s Palette is a fantastic little place in the Glen that you would miss if you blink — so keep your eyes peeled (it’s pretty much across the street from Von Maur.) «Street» parking here can be tricky, however, there is a lot of garage space on the opposite side of the street from Pinot’s.
Everyone who works here is so incredibly sweet. We were greeted right away and shown where we were set up (private room for a bachelorette party) and shown where the bar and bathrooms were.
I didn’t really take in too much of the main room, but the private room was excellent. There was a dry-​bar with wine and regular glasses, cubbies to put gifts, purses, etc. and a table to set up your own food. My middle sister had set this party up for my youngest sister, so she had brought some snacks. Pinot’s provided us with silverware and plates. Drinks at the bar were very reasonable — alcoholic between $ 5 – 6, and I got a can of Pellegrino for $ 1.09, plus tip of course!
Our instructor was super nice and very helpful and clear with her directions. Our party was small, so that might’ve contributed to the overall experience in a positive way as well.
It was amazing to see with the same instruction how everyone’s renditions of Monet’s «Water Lilies at Morning» came out differently. Pinot’s took a photo of us all with our paintings at the end, I’d be curious to see it!
This was so much fun, I immediately called my mom to tell her we have to come back and do a regular class with all of the girls. You just have to have an open mind. I will be proud to hang my water lilies at home, and the BF was even impressed and didn’t believe that I actually painted it!
I’ll be back, Pinot’s!

Our Mother’s day event was a smashing success. Background music was fun, family really enjoyed themselves.

Just went here last night for a girls night and it was so much fun! Everyone’s painting turned out great, including my sister-​in-​law who was very afraid it would be a disaster. The staff was great and our instructor did a great job helping us all through the painting. I would recommend this place for a fun activity to do with friends. So much better than going to a bar! We will definitely go back and bring our husbands too!
This is a great option for a simple night out with friends or even a bachelorette party. The sign up process was very easy and they made sure to keep our group seated together. You also have the option of ordering food from a local restaurant but we were having so much fun, we forgot!

I would highly recommend this place for a date or group activity. They were very easy to deal with and very friendly. You are able to bring your own food but drinks and they provide your with free water bottles. They are really good about seating you with your friends and giving step by step instructions. It’s good for novice and for those with a hidden professional talent. It was a wonderful experience!

This was such a fun thing to do! We had a small group and we all enjoyed it so much. The instructors are very helpful and our paintings — although less than museum quality, are wonderful. We’ll do this again soon.

A group of us did a birthday event here. It was a really great experience. They were really good about seating us together, answering any questions, and making sure we were comfortable.
We brought in our own food and they had a variety of drinks there (including free water bottles). The class went step by step which was very helpful for someone like myself who has little to no artistic ability.
It was a great experience and not only would i recommend it, i would do it again.

I really enjoyed the experience! Drinking wine, painting to fun music with friends was a blast. The atmosphere was fun, there was an excellent wine selection and the staff were great! Sunny helped with painting advice, bringing supplies and Kayla knew her wines. Mari the owner was also readily available to lend some help. I highly recommend for an outing with friends. Maybe a private part even. I’ve never painted before and it was relaxing and an opportunity to get away from the tv and be creative. Great concept! Groupon helped ($ 48 fee for $ 24 price).

Perfect spot for a date night or girls night out! The location in the Glen is perfect and easy to find. The staff was great and very helpful. They showed us the basic skills and steps for the painting but also allowed you to be creative! The selection of beer and wine was perfect and our bartender, Kayla, was very nice! We’ll definitely be back for another painting!

Thanks to Mari and Mark, the owners of Pinot’s Palette! My wife and I had a terrific time among a very inviting atmosphere. The staff was helpful and cordial. the painting was simple yet challenging. It made for a great date night and unique experience. We can’t wait to do it again, paint something different and have a blast.
I’d give it 100 stars if I could. Great addition to the Glen!
