Good sandwich, the bread is good, crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside. Had the Italian sub, could have used a little more meat, but in the end filled me up. Wish they had fountain drinks instead of bottles. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood for a sub or grinder(they do have Giardinara, which is an added bonus!)

Absolutely delicious! Some of the best sandwiches and soups I’ve ever had. If your driving through or staying in Glenwood Springs you have to stop here.

Killer sandwiches. Killer speed. So nice to come to a fast, easy, delicious place after climbing all over the Hanging Lake Trail! We FEASTED and my god was it worth it! Little place. Great for kids and making your own creation or enjoying one of theirs! GOTOCHOMPS.

Horrible new owner. Walked in at 550p and was rudely told«I’m making this to go, we close at six», right when we walked in. No «hello,» or anything! This is a sub shop, not a sit down; I wasn’t planning on being there for an hour, and we were taking it to go, had he politely asked in the first place! If you want to be gone at 6, close at 5! Then, we ordered a plain hotdog for my son — nothing with it, not even a bun; I don’t know if the girl at the register didn’t charge us full price, but while making our sandwiches I heard the owner say«$ 3.50, it’s not my fault that’s all they want». I didn’t ask for a discount, but if he wants to be a jerk about it, I won’t come back. I’m sure you treated us that way thinking we’re out-of-towners for Strawberry Days, but we live here, and used to eat there often. We think the quality of food went down with the new ownership(the veggie sub used to be amazing because there was enough sundries tomatoes that the consistency felt like meat — now you put, what? A whopping five on the whole thing?), But, we decided to try it again; this visit cements us never coming back. Thanks!

The sandwich is good but I asked for avocado and got bacon instead??? They have a variety of drinks and that’s pleasant

The bread is the key! Crusty but chewy. The portions are big! The big bite is huge. The Italian was delicious. The peppers added a nice tang and crunch to the sandwich. You can add toppings on your sandwich and I got mine with everything minus the mayo. Delish. We also got the chicken salad, meatball, prime rib and a custom sandwich. They even gave us marinara to go with the custom sandwich. So nice! The chips«Zapps» were delish as well. It’s a small place but there’s indoor and outdoor seating. You can get a «Chomps» meal deal deal for around $ 10.50(fountain drink is huge!). Great place if you are craving a sandwich!

Great place I always make time for when I’m in the Glenwood area! The kids love it and that makes us happy! Sandwiches are always perfect and if you are a sandwich lover as I am make sure you stop in!

Chomps is under new management since October. Dining area is cleaned up a bit and food is still good. Glad new owner didn’t change up food much since their sammys were already so good. Breakfast burrito is good too.

This place gets a bad rap for its lack of cleanliness. I’ll agree, it could use a bit of mom’s elbow grease BUT, some things you just know going in and move beyond. The hot subs here are awesome, awesome — giardiniera is so tasty! Every time my Dad visits we eat lunch here daily — he’s crazy addicted. Try the roast beef. Breakfast burritos are great too. Check it out.

DONOTGOINSIDETHISPLACE! We originally planned on dining in but as we waited we were so disgusted by the lack of sanitation in the place that we left with our order. It was like there was a thick layer of grime everywhere: the floor, windows, cushions, etc. When we ordered we were told our sandwiches would be ready in 5 – 7 minutes. It was more like 15 but felt like even longer since the surroundings were so gross. When our sandwiches were finally ready, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. They must have made my husband’s sandwich first because by the time all 3 were ready, his was all soggy. The food was decent aside from the sogginess but also overpriced. Will never return or recommend.

Food was great! The place really needs a good cleaning though. Dusty and dead flys everywhere. Only gave 3 stars because of the ambiance. Clean it up and it would be easily a 5 star place.

Food is usually quite good… the service is not so good sometimes. The young girls that work during the day are consistantly rude and I am a long time regular and local customer. Aside from that I do love them.

One of the things I was worried about moving to Glenwood Springs from Denver was where I was going to be able to find a sandwich similar to Snarf’s…I was relieved when I had to look no further than Chomp’s. Great subs on toasty rolls… and their giardiniera is amazing. The Italian and the Chicken salad subs are my faves. Service– not the friendliest, but okay. They do serve beer and have a patio on the side.

3.75 stars. This is a really good mom and pop shop located next to the Hampton Inn and across from the Best Western. Chomps has indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter then they call your name when your order is ready. Quick and easy. The Italian sandwich is terrific. Made to order, you’ll find lots of quality italian meats, lettuce, tomato and all the other great stuff you’d expect on a hoagie. The key is their tasty, crusty bread. At Crumbs they heat the sandwich up, and the best part for me was the hot peppers that really spiced the sammy up. The sandwiches are ala carte so pickup a bag of Vickie’s potato chips and maybe a cold drink from the fridge. They also had tea, both regular and sweet, but I did not get to try it on this visit.:( Today they had a chicken noodle soup that was good, but the chef was waaaaay too heavy handed on the salt. And I am a salt guy. Just ask my doc… Chomps is definitely worth a visit for lunch when in the Glenwood Springs area. Why anyone would go to nearby Subway is beyond me. Support local. Eat better food. Go to Chomps.
