I absolutely love the food here. The staff is very friendly and makes sure you are served. It’s very cozy in the wintertime(the only time I’ve come) This is my second time coming to Colorado from Texas and would continue coming to this place. I would definitely recommend it.

I had heard good things about this restaurant — so I’m not sure if it’s under new ownership or what — but I wasn’t terribly impressed with the food or the service. I probably wouldn’t eat here again unless they improved both.

Wow, what a little gem. You walk in and immediately are greeted by a case of the most delicious looking pasteries. For breakfast, I had the gypsy skillet — onions, peppers, potatoes, eggs and hot hungarian sausage. It was more like a hash than a skillet really. So good! My husband had the prosciutto and asparagus benedict, and the poached eggs were done perfectly. Portions are large, so I should have asked for half portion because neither of us could finish our plates. This didn’t stop us from sharing a slice of homemade blueberry strudel. We were in heaven. We decided to get a some strudel to go to give to my family. I would rate this with 5 stars except the coffee is weak. With the food being so on point, I was hoping for the coffee to be equally delightful. But don’t let this stop you from trying Rosies. It’s worth it.

Im not sure if this place changed hands or they are just having a bad day. Friday was quiet at the restaurant and the service was mediocre. One cup of coffee and many promises of a refill that never materialized. The food was good but I think this isn’t my favorite Glenwwod breakfast spot anymore.

Great breakfast spot to hit before you go to the pool. Friendly service, delicious pastries and I love the little pots of jams and salsas on the table. Thanks for being consistently good over the decades!

Good food, not the fanciest of places but good affordable breakfast. Order meats and eggs ala carte to save money and eat healthier.

After waking up in a wooded cabin tucked into the mountains of Glenwood Springs, my family and I were in need of some yummy breakfast. Naturally — none of us could decide on what we wanted — some wanted French toast, others wanted green chilies, and naturally mom wanted a breakfast burrito. Not being very familiar with the Glenwood restaurant scene my parents chose Rosi’s…and I’m glad they did! Here’s why: R = Reasonably priced and right in the heart of downtown Glenwood! O = outstanding food — all of it! I chose an omlette filled with cheese, mushrooms and bacon with a generous pile of green chilie on top. MMMM! My sister got a veggie omlette and it looked to die for. The hash browns are perfectly toasted, pastries are made daily and our coffee was never empty! Because the owner and his family are originally from Germany — they offer a wide variety of authentic German dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner! a must try! S = Staff is amazingly friendly, sweet and quick. Our coffee was never empty, our food came quickly, and the owner serenaded us with authentic German music. He was drinking beer, singing and seemed generally happy about his business and his patrons! I = Insanely fun environment — full of cozy décor, German music, colorful paintings and the like! so cozy and cute! I will definitely make a 2nd trip back to this cute family owned biz!

The waitstaff was very friendly yet the food was sub par. We couldn’t drink their drip coffee as it tasted like old coffee. Their crêpe wasn’t anything spectacular, vanilla yogurt filling with spice. We left it on the plate.

As a child who grew up in a German-American household I am always skeptical of anyone else’s schnitzel beside my mothers but oh man Rosi’s was almost as amazing!!! Best food and environment and even a little show from the owner! Seriously amazing!

Great little place for breakfast in Glenwood Springs. We enjoyed their Benedict and basic two egg breakfast as we were taking our walk to the hot springs pool. Good service and the atmosphere is genuine. Good prices. We will go back when we stay in Glenwood.

Loss of start for atmosphere and location. Greatest breakfast in glenwood springs though. You gotta try this place or get a Togo order while passing through. Greats smother breakfast burrito and omelettes.

Highly recommend! I enjoyed their breakfast burrito and my hubby had the omelet. Both were fantastic and awesome at filling us up before rafting.

We were intrigued by this cute little restaurant across the street from us. Their pastries were pretty darned good, as was their coffee. The breakfast schnitzel could easily be shared by two people. It was almost as good as my mother’s schnitzel. A little overpriced in my opinion, but nice to try once. The service was fast and efficient and they kept our beverages topped off.

Rosie, please come live with me. I have zero complaints about the food. We loved it so much, we had breakfast at Rosie’s 2 days in a row. The atmosphere and décor reminded me of visiting my grandmother’s house– it’s a bit dated. But I didn’t come for interior decorating advice, I came for the food; and it didn’t disappoint. The service was a bit slow, at times. But all I had to do was take another bite of my breakfast and all was forgiven. Thanks, Rosie, for starting each day off with a belly filled with deliciousness. I’ll be back every time I’m in town.

We enjoyed a lovely little breakfast while visiting Glenwood Springs. One of the only places we could find in town that opened before 10AM, I’m glad we did. I enjoyed a mimosa and my fiancé enjoyed his spicy Bloody Mary. The mix tasted house made and there were three types of Tobasco on the table to spice it up even more. My friend enjoyed her Irish coffee; it was STRONG! For breakfast I ordered the Vienna crepes which were tasty. There were three decent sized crepes with a cream cheese filling and topped with strawberries and bananas, and whipped cream. I enjoyed them but needed something savory to balance it out. It doesn’t come with any sides so I added bacon, which was just ok. It wasn’t very crispy and it was an extra $ 4 for 4 pieces. My fiancé enjoyed his schnitzel and eggs; the portion was large but it was under salted. Minus one star for the table. Our party of five was seated at a table for four and a chair was brought to the end of the table. It was too tight. Minus another star for the prices — most entrees were close to $ 15 which is expensive for breakfast and many don’t come with sides. Next time we are in town we will be sure to come back and give it another try. The pastries in the front window looked delicious!

If you are going to advertise your place as a Bavarian restaurant, you might want to actually have some Bavarians working there. Or Germans. Or Austrians. German potato salad is NOT made by taking home fries and adding bacon pieces to it. Sauerkraut from a can with some bacon bits from a jar is NOT Bavarian-style. The pickles and warm cabbage weren’t bad but I’ve had far, far better. The best tasting item was the cucumber and cabbage slaw. Sweet and crunchy. The smoked bratwurst sausage was tolerable but not worth writing about. And, there was no German mustard to be found in the place. The Hungarian Goulash isn’t Hungarian or a true goulash. Not impressed.

I have to agree with the other reviews here — a solid breakfast, but a bit underwhelming for the price. At $ 12 – 15 a plate, I expect something either gigantic or creative. We’ve breakfasted here a couple times. Today I ordered the lox and bagel — ok but not the best quality salmon. Also had the 2 egg platter — fine but nothing exciting. Service was very friendly.

I found Rosie’s expensive and underwhelming. I have eaten there three times now. I really wanted to give them two stars instead of 3. For the price, I expected better. Pros: large and diverse menu options. Waffles with bacon in the middle. Homemade pastries. Large food portions and good service. Expensive: Breakfast staples like omelettes, burritos, waffles, etc tend to be $ 12 to $ 13 bucks. That is easily $ 5 more than Daily Bread or 17th St Diner(my two favorite breakfast places) where these items are $ 7 or $ 8. My eggs benedict, coffee & tip was $ 18.50 I got a chocolate éclair on the way out and it was an $ 5.38 with tax. Food: Underwhelming. The portions are quite large! The breakfast burrito was solid. The Alaska Benedict was totally lame. It was egg benedict with smoked salmon instead of canadian bacon. The salmon was very poor quality(I actually left a pile on my plate, yuck. Hey Rosies, buy better salmon! Try Costco’s smoked salmon, it rocks!) and the hollandaise was bland… needed more lemon. I did leave the restaurant full and the service was good.
