Hands down amazing. Foods is to die for. Service was okay but food came out fast. Must try.

So we were looking for Mexican food in Glenwood, and have been less than impressed with the other joints around town. Found this place on Unilocal with just a couple reviews, but all relatively good. Decided to give it a shot, and boy were we glad we did. Finding it was a bit of a challenge, as it is located in the corner of the strip mall, and the name has apparently been changed to Sal Mex. Six of us dropped in for dinner, and five of us though it was the best Mexican food we’ve had in Glenwood. Carne Asada was outstanding. Tacos al Carbon got two thumbs up. Two people order enchiladas. One said they were great, and the other was not overly impressed. Overall a solid 4-star. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Glenwood.

Stopped in this cute place today on my way to Walmart. The staff was great, taking time to answer all my vegetarian questions and the kitchen was very sweet and made me veggie tacos that were delicious! I will def come here again next time I’m in town!

Being a San Diego Native I love mexican food. Since moving here I have been troubled to find good mexican food. I can usually find something decent at each one. But, for the first time I really really enjoyed my meal. I got Carne Asada burrito with sour cram and cheese and it was amazing. My wife got enciladas and they were fabulous. Fresh made tortillas, fresh ingredients. So very very pleased with the meal. Get the Carne Asada steak… so good.

Decent Mexican food and margaritas. Nothing mind-blowing to write home about, but nothing to turn you off either. It’s got a fun atmosphere, fair prices, and yummy chips and salsa. I’d definitely come back here. I thought the carnitas were especially good, as well as the Horizonte Margarita and cabbage salsa!
