We stopped at the 60 Café for a late lunch. The special was Fish and Chips, so we order hoping for the best. We were very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. The fries were limp and tasted warmed over. The grilled fish was much better than the battered, which is not saying much. The only positive in this experience was we had a very pleasant waitress

Went on New Year’s Day. Went at prime time and the place was almost empty. I had Posole soup, very spicy, but cold. Ordered pork tenderloin and got 2 small medallions cut from a pork loin… Luke warm. Baked potato was cold and not done, wouldn’t even melt butter. Vegetable was zucchini and yellow squash portion was about a tbsp. Also cold and so small I really don’t know how it tasted. Wife had same experience with her meal, but had salad and it was OK. I had high hopes for this place, but my opinion is its the worst in town. Problem may have been a lazy server who let the food set to long, but that’s still a management problem. I told a friend about my experience and he concurred. He had been three times and all visits were unsatisfactory neither he nor I intend on returning. No wonder it was almost empty.

If you’re passing through on US-60, forget about the chain restaurants and come here instead! Good diner food at good prices, and it’s open all day. Good selection of sandwiches and sides. Their potato salad recipe seems to be almost exactly what my mom used to make somehow, so that was kind of fun. I would absolutely eat here again next time I pass through Globe.

New owners. Wife had a chicken pesto dinner w fresh veggies. She loved it. I had a Swiss mushroom burger w fries. Yum! And large portions. Son in law had a country fried steak — the real thing. Again w steamed fresh veggies. We are local and plan to be back many times. Competitive prices, fresh ingredients, large portions.
