Took my mother for afternoon tea on her birthday. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and we all got the 3 course full tea. The food was exquisite, very thoughtfully prepared and presented. My favorite was the sweet potato ham biscuits, butternut squash soup and apple cheesecake dessert. We will definitely be back!

Charming tea house and I can imagine it would be enjoyable to have a pot of tea and dessert. However, for sandwiches its overpriced, very slow and underwhelming food. Small town but plenty other restaurants to try.

Absolutely charming tea room in Gloucester Courthouse. My sister and I stopped in one day and immediately knew we had to bring our mother back. They offer a full tea service and it was so sweet. First course is house made REAL scones with jam and Devon cream and an adorable fruit skewer shaped to look like a flower with delicious creamy fruit dip. Your choice of tea(from a large and varied list) is also brought out — an individual pot for each. While they offer flavored iced tea, there are no refills on those drinks — really, my only complaint. The next course has soup or salad(PLEASE do yourself a favor and get their roasted red pepper with smoked Gouda soup — it’s wonderful!) And assorted tea sandwiches — egg salad on a mini croissant, chicken salad in a phyllo cup, spinach artichoke dip in a French bread end, and a ham biscuit on a YUMMY sweet potato biscuit. Dessert is an assortment of goodies that changes with the season — in the fall, we had a mini pumpkin pie slice, amazing peanut butter mousse with chocolate curls, a frosted brownie with mint pieces(which, to be fair, did not quite fit in flavor wise…), and a chocolate dipped Madeleine with a candy flower. Our mother was absolutely delighted. The server was adorable and she ooohed and ahhhhed over all the seasonal decorations. Each table had its own different setting. The menu also has many different sandwiches that all look great. I believe they offer breakfast too. I find their prices to be quite reasonable. We will definitely return!

My friends and I went today for lunch with our daughters. We waited on drinks for over 10 minutes. Then food took over 30 minutes and came out one or two at a time. A good 20 minutes between first person being served and last one. Food was just OK but too expensive. Two sandwiches, drinks and a small dessert cost over $ 40. Definitely will NOT be visiting again.

Had my second visit this Sunday for lunch. I’m a sandwich guy and Daffodil has some good choices. Get a tea while you’re at it. Pricing is reasonable for what you get. It’s easy to spend a couple bucks on the desserts. Great selection. Can’t wait to go back. btw this is also a restaurant and not just a rental locations for vintage rentals.

Went in for lunch this week and even though there was only one other table of customers and about 5 staff people, service was REALLLY slow. One waitress ran around dragging a noisy tea cart while the other staff just stood behind the counter. We waited 20 minutes for a pot of tea and another 20 minutes for salads. The bill came to close to $ 40 for tea and 2 salads with tip. This place is obviously geared toward older women who«do lunch», aren’t trying to get back to work, and don’t mind a ridiculously over-priced salad. Lots of nick-nacks, chintz prints, and antique-y furniture around. Not our cup of tea(pun intended) but it could work for some.
