This is a fun little store with lots of treasures and furniture. The prices are right on par with the rest of the like stores in the area and the selection is great. They often mark down things as they sit so sometimes its better to wait unless it is something that will go fast. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. Parking is a pain as its on a busy street with meters but worth it.

Some more cynical shoppers may call Pearl’s a junk shop, but I prefer to think of it as a wonderment of ages past shop. That’s a mouthful though. I love browsing in Pearl’s! I must admit that I have never purchased anything though. Items from the 70s, 80s, and 90s abound. You can find a lunchbox you had when you were six or a cool trinket you remember your mom owning when you were a child. It’s great, and a lot of fun. My main complaint would be the prices. Things are way, way overpriced. Somewhat junky items go for much more than they should, and nicer items are way outside of my price range. They had a beautiful Norwegian sweater for months, and I was so tempted to buy it, but it never dropped below $ 100. Pity. The items don’t even have the rare allure of specialty antique stores to justify the high price. If you find yourself in downtown Gloucester, definitely go in! Look around. If you have the money, and don’t mind over paying, why not buy that trinket from your youth? If you’re frugal like I am, it’s just fun to look around. The woman that owns the store is nice and never makes you feel like you’re intruding while you browse, and they have a steady stream of customers so you never feel awkward being the only one there.
