I Will never go back. Hey, Wild Ginger, put the rice in the bag. Or refund me. How can you not refund someone when you leave half the meal out of the take out bag? Wtf? They said Sorry we can’t refund your rice because it comes with the meal. Well I guess not today. My family and I used to order weekly from this restaurant. Not anymore. Customer service is obviously not a high priority for this establishment. Guess that’s why the place was empty, at dinner time.

I had the General Tso’s Chicken lunch special and it was delicious! It was my first time ordering from them, and I am very pleased. With the lunch special you get a choice of appetizer, soup and rice. I went with pork fried rice, crab rangoon, and wonton soup. I actually tried everything(usually I can’t stand the soups at Chinese restaurants). Everything tasted healthy and fresh. We ordered takeout but the dining room/dine in area is actually very nice and clean, you don’t leave the restaurant smelling like Chinese food, and the staff(or owner) was very pleasant and helpful. I’d love to go back and dine in sometime soon!

Had the General Tso chicken. Very good dish with the pork fried rice and tea. My wife had the mooshu pork with pork fried rice. Bob dishes were great. Very nice server and great service. Very clean Resturant.

I have tried all the Chinese restaurants in this area and Wild Ginger is the better of all. I had Beef and Brocolli which was real good but the egg drop soup was disappointing. Very bland and actually the worst I have had. Service was good.

Got take out for dinner from here and am highly disappointed. The wonton soup for my sick grandmother had three tiny wontons in the quart; the kids’ lo mien smelled of beer though tasted fine, if kind of plain; the home style bean curd had chemical-tasting vegetables and watery tofu. All of this was overpriced — especially for the quantity and quality of the food. The only good thing I can say about this restaurant is that the service was quick and polite, and the place looked clean.

As natives of San Francisco we are picky about our Chinese food. Wild Ginger is great! We ate dinner here twice in two weeks and we were not disappointed. The food is fresh and flavorful and the service is good.

If I would have done this review a year ago with the previous owners I would have given 4 – 5 stars. The food isn’t bad now but it use to be great. The waiting staff and kitchen need better communication anf the waiting staff need to communicate with each other so they don’ give away someone else’s food. I wish the previous owners would come back with their waitresses. Also they have smaller portions and they charge more.

I went here with family and it is wonderful. Service is friendly, prices are very reasonable. Food has flavor, we had: chicken teriaki, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, cashew chicken, and ginger chicken… all excellent. Seating is comfortable.

When my sister raved about this place I was pretty skeptical but to my surprise I loved it! The owner’s son is very nice and if you are uncertain about what to order he can help you out. Everything is so fresh and cooked well. Their diet menu is wonderful, especially the sauce! I myself am a huge fan of the duck, it’s cooked perfectly.

When I walked in to Wild Ginger, I thought it would be your typical strip mall, Chinese restaurant. They are all pretty much the same with interchangeable menus(sometimes the same menu!). I was pleasantly surprised with what I experienced. The place didn’t have that grease smell. It didn’t have a giant sign with the menu items that look nothing like what you will be served. It was a clean, sit-down place with plenty of booths and fast service. They bring you tea and water before you even order. You may recognize the items on the menu but what you get is nothing like what you’d expect. I wasn’t very adventurous the first time and ordered the General Tso chicken preparing to be underwhelmed. I was brought fresh chicken pieces that weren’t overbattered, or drowning in sauce. The first bite was wonderful. It just tasted. .. different than any Chinese place I’d been. Even the wonton soup had fresh vegetables in it, unlike the normal broth with two dumpling/mystery meat thingamabobs floating in it. I was so impressed by this place and I go there at least once a week. And even though the quality of food is exponentially better than the typical Chinese joints, the prices are surprisingly the SAME(well, the lunch specials anyway)
