Yo Dawg! So check it out! Connie’s Hawt Dawgz opened recently in the former Pettiglio Pizza in Goffstown Village. This small eatery specializes in hot dogs«hawt dawgz»(steamed or grilled) including all beef dawgz, natural casing, jumbo longs, red dawgz, and corn dawgz. Traditional dawgz are offered as well as several gourmet dawgz(most $ 2.99-$ 3.99) including: New England Red Snapper: red dawg, yellow mustard & dill spear New Yorker Dawg: mustard, sauerkraut & onion sauce Coney Island/Michigan Dawg: beanless meat sauce, diced onion & mustard Super Chili Dawg: mustard chili & onions Chicago Dawg: yellow mustard, sweet relish, chopped onion, 4 tomato wedges, dill spear, banana peppers & celery salt Cole Slaw Dawg: mustard, cole slaw & tomato wedges Polish Kielbasa Dawg — — — — — — – Double Trouble: 2 dawgs in 1 bun, chili, cheese, mustard & onion The Bigg Dawg(Extra Long): chili, 2 strips of bacon, tomatoes, onions & cheese Besides the«hawt dawgz,» they also offer(when available) sausage subs, fish & chips, salads, salads, fries, bagged chips, small desserts, and cold Coke products. Special items are offered here during the week including grilled items(burgers, Italian sausage), homemade meatball subs, roast beef & pastrami subs, fish frys, and chicken tenders with fries. I stopped in here for lunch recently on a sunny day. The place is very small inside and there’s outside covered seating next to the building. I ordered the 2 Dawgz, bag of chips &20 oz bottled Coke drink lunch special for $ 6.50 plus tax($ 7.09). I got 2 Grilled Natural Casing Dawgs(I like a snap when bitten) with spicy mustard, relish, & onions served on soft New England hot dog rolls, which were brought outside to my table when ready. These dawgs were standard roadside fare and tasted pretty good on a hot sunny day with a bag of crunchy kettle potato chips and a very cold Diet Coke(20 oz bottle). The atmosphere here was on the noisy side since I was outside(open air) and there was a lot of motorcycle traffic passing through Goffstown and there was also live music across the street at the Village Trestle. The service was prompt and friendly here. CASHONLY CLOSED on Mondays
